I'LL BE GOING ON A WALK AFTER I POST THIS. Trying to blog each day isn't always possible, but I do try. Resting today after being on the go almost happens on its own when exhausted because I can not physically carry on. I am forced to lie down in green pastures.
After being gone for 5 days, I started out Saturday on a slow pace, but HUBBY talked me into going with him to Manhattan to pick up the wood door fronts for our linen cabinet waiting for us at MENARDS. After dropping off the mail, picking up a prescription, we buzzed to the Hardware store for my special dish detergent and drove over for a super salad before getting our STARBUCKS and venturing over to get the cabinet door fronts. Long story short, the day wasn't restful. Praise the LORD anyways.
MENARDS is full of decorating ideas and I enjoy riding one of their miniature carts so I can go around faster than I can walk. These carts come in so handy when walking is difficult and down in the back. Vroom I went.
I shopped for a new, tall waste can, baby wipes and what ever else that catches my fancy. This time it was a glass jar with lid. It was discounted and will come in handy in the pantry for popcorn. Hubs picked up the door fronts and away we went driving across the Kansas Prairie. The RESTORE was open on the edge of town, so we stopped by to browse before their closing. HOME we went too tired to do much of anything.
Feeling as if I am running behind all the time on the chores is not a HAPPY PLACE to be. Grin and bear it.
I did paperwork while Hubby fixed a SPAGHETTI SQUASH MEAL with ground turkey for supper. Thankful he fixed the meal. So thankful.
We binged-watched the NETFLIX SERIES Leanne. I decided if this is just going to become a series about two older sisters trying to have sex with strangers then I won't be watching it.
I like the comedian Leanne Morgan, but think her series will only go downhill with lines like her mom and dad having sex in the back seat of her sister's car after they exchanged marriage vows so Leanne's mother could have her wedding of her dreams fulfilled.
The canned laughter was a bit too much.
This series seems more like the shows ROSEANNE, EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND, TWO AND A HALF MEN and HOME IMPROVEMENT all rolled into one series. Do I have to give up SITCOMS? I suppose if a show is going to be on NETFLIX then I might have to. Sorry LEANNE, I liked you better as a stand-up comic. Being the CO-CREATOR and one of the EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS of your own show goes to show you can pay your way to the top of the entertainment field when you have enough money to do so.
Real life isn't a TV sitcom. Enough said? I can decide what to watch and not watch, but I am fully aware that I watch way too much television in the evenings.
I tuned into the internet to check out a few things when I clicked on Joel Osteen's church service. I haven't watched him in years. I was curious what was on when messages along the sidebar were saying RIP about Dodie and Victoria was talking about her mother-in-law in the past tense. What?
I was saddened when I heard that Dodie Osteen passed away on July 30th. I may not have agreed with all the Lakewood doctrine, but I was inspired by her prayers she spoke over people that were hurting.

She'll be greatly missed. Youtube videos of her with her daughter, April are still available to watch.
Years ago, when we lived in the Houston area, she was on a local television show where she was the Host interviewing someone. She was maybe 56 years old or so and I was about 36. I attended the program when her cell phone rang from within her tote stunning her. Low and behold it was her Husband, Pastor John Osteen teasing her. She handled it like a trooper talking to him. Perhaps muting the ring tone would have been appropriate. Oh well. Dodie placed her faith in the ROCK, the LORD JESUS.
AS FOR THE ROCK 'n ROLL WORLD...The grief Sharon Osbourne demonstrated when placing flowers on Ozzy Osbourne's bench area was difficult to watch. Deep grief. I was not a fan of Ozzy Osbourne's, but the song, Dreamer which he helped write took me by surprise.
BACK ON THE HOME FRONT.
I found a small, black shelf at the thrift store in St. Charles that I knew would be a good fit above the toilet for air fresheners, candle and faux plant. Hubby hung it for me and I'm pleased with it being in our HOME. A simple pleasure.
GILDED AGE is on TV tonight. I think I'll watch it. Yes, it's television, but the program is a celebration of fashion in an era that wasn't so long ago.
I'm truly tired. Took a nap. I have some bills to write out that I can mail while I'm on my walk. Best get after it. I can pray while I walk.
Already the 3rd of August. This month my goal is to clean out the front bedroom. I will be working on this. I have to do this. Not excited about it, but that doesn't matter. Praise the LORD anyways.
