We made a date For A DATE. Kept it. Our Saturday DATE with cold weather. Drove over to MARYSVILLE, KS. to see JUMANJI at the ASTRO 3 Theatre.
I had bragged to my HUBBY about how neat the theatre was and wanted him to see this place that I had gone to with a couple of my singing buddies last month

We didn't end up in Theatre 2 with the big red draperies and oversized room. Was disappointed, but will be returning and deliberately seeing a movie in Theatre 2. We were in the smaller Theatre 3.
Still nice. Just not as nice or spacious. The popcorn and root beer were the same. grins.
We watched JUMANJI at matinee prices. Laughed. There were a few things that could have been left out and it wouldn't have hurt the movie at all. Remarks about body parts when going to the toilet outside. Adult humor, but children heard it as well. Shucks...what can an old Grandma do about that?
Overall, I liked the movie. Thought it was funny.
We've been to Marysville before to dine at one of the old houses before it turned into a Authentic Mexican Restaurant. They were closed. Suppose it was the cold weather. So much snow in the area. Snow was piled in the center of the streets.
Years ago we toured the Koester House Museum
when the weather was nicer, but I can't remember much about it. Need to return for another visit.
AS WE DROVE THE TOWN, I noticed a beautiful brick Victorian house for sale. What a beauty. Checked her out on the internet when I got HOME.
SEVEN BEDROOMS. Mercy. Fireplaces, wood floors, grille work, spacious with a Butler's Pantry! Would need a crew of maids to keep this place up. Would have loved to tour the house firsthand.
Wouldn't a large family have fun with this one.
I would LOVE to have a Butler's Pantry.
