WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN HIDING?
On the Victorian Parlour Settee with some good looking dolls.
THIS SUNDAY EVENING I am somewhat tired. Ended up taking a NAP to regain some energy. We spent yesterday and most of today shuffling furniture. Now it looks like the HOUSEKEEPER is just really messy. This is the last week of January with hopes that by February 1st the rooms will be looking well. Maybe start hanging some real pictures.
We've been switching bedrooms. Making memories. Remember when we switched the two bedrooms? Oh yah. That was the January day the temp rose to 55 and we were inside dusting after being sick for so long.
What I call the VICTORIAN ROOM (grey colored walls) is now the VINTAGE ROOM. The VINTAGE ROOM (aqua colored walls) is now the VICTORIAN ROOM. I LOVE IT!!!
This is like early SPRING CLEANING with all the dusting getting done. I should have taken a picture of the dust pile...well maybe not. It was huge. To think all of this dust was under the furniture made my head hurt. The chair rails and baseboards are being dusted as well. The floor and the furniture. So the bedrooms will be so much cleaner. They really needed some attention. Attention they got.
IN THIS PARTICULAR KANSAS HOUSE you need to make friends with dust? It tends to invade your privacy and out wear it's welcome. I have never lived in a house that was so dusty. We had the duct work professionally cleaned so hopefully the dust won't be so bad. After this early early early SPRING CLEANING in ze WINTER, perhaps the dust will be more manageable. I sure hope so. Lord help.
I get this go round all dusted upstairs, I'll return to the main floor and freshen up the Living room and Dining room. The KITCHEN is an everyday thing. The JUNQUE ROOM or spare room soon to be the TV room will get a work order. Getting settled in our HOME is like taming a living creature. Take it by the horns or get bowled over. Staying focused takes some discipline.

The swap has taken place. The pieces of furniture are in their new locations. Bed, dresser, settee, two parlour chairs, small coffee table, wash stand are in the NEW VICTORIAN ROOM. The VINTAGE BEDROOM has the bed, vanity, victorian chair, chest of drawers. Not so crowded in the bedrooms. I like this. Aiming for less clutter and neater appearance.
Gathering pictures to hang on the walls. Much to put away that needs additional work. A new location for some dolls is needed. Right now they are resting on the VICTORIAN BED as I gathered up dolls from two other rooms. Not sure where they will go, but for now they are all together on the bed. One big HAPPY FAMILY.
HOPEFULLY it will be soon that the bed is empty again
and just has the bears on it waiting to greet Grandkids that will sleep on this Guest BED.
The room is very cheery and I like that.
Sunshine streaming through the lace curtains.
Will take some more pics after the rooms are completely tidied. Right now both rooms are still in the works and a huge mess.
I keep praying for energy and the stamina to get this shuffling and cleaning done. I am surprising myself how little energy I do have. I don't own it.
