A HAPPY ACCIDENT

I TEND TO BE FATIGUED.   I know myself somewhat and I tend to be tired so much of the time.  Thyroid issues and Vitamin D deficiency.  So I decided I will give GERITOL multivitamin a whirl.  I had it in my head that GERITOL was only liquid and had no idea that they had multivitamins.

My sweet husband did not know that I had wanted the liquid so he ordered their vitamin.  Ordered this by phone from our local pharmacist when placing a refill on his meds so they could deliver it to our door.  A very nice service to those who do not want to physically go to the brick and mortar store.  They faithfully delivered the GERITOL. 

When I saw the multivitamin, I got on line to read about their product.  This snag of receiving the vitamin instead of liquid was a HAPPY ACCIDENT.  

This was my AHH HAA moment when I read that GERITOL uses carbonyl iron which is not derived from animal sources or blood in their vitamin.  CARBONYL IRON.  

WHAT IS CARBONYL IRON?

Carbonyl iron is a pure form of mineral iron that is naturally regulated by the body, making it gentler on the system. Unlike many other forms of iron available, carbonyl iron is not derived from animal sources or blood. Instead, carbonyl iron is a very fine white or grey powder. That’s why you might also see carbonyl iron referred to as “pure iron micro particles.”

So I got to thinking, blood?  Mercy, have I been taking products with animal blood?  Surely not.  Next step is to check out what products have blood in them.  So have I been taking products with blood?  Sure enough blood is used as an emulsifier and stabilizer in foods and medicines.  The blood from beef packing plants is sold and used in products.

Not sure we're suppose to be consuming products with blood in it.  Another thing to think about.
