Alan Jackson - Love Lifted Me

TODAY IS A FRESH DAY to continue doing what needs to be worked on.  My simple task today is to go through cardboard boxes that hold my Hallmark ornaments.  First I'll group the ornaments with like kind.  Then I'll have to figure out how I'm going to store them and where.  Last night I went through one box and was stunned at how many train ornaments we have.  I forget when I started buying these for my Husband who is a train fan.  

Another cardboard box to empty today.  Towels in the wash.  Hair appointment with myself. Papers to sort through.  Nothing back breaking.  I'll have a slow paced day and enjoy it.  Reading some.  Reaching and stretching.  This evening I'll be watching ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL on PBS.  Time to unwind and say my prayers before going to sleep.            

HUBBY is painting the screened-in porch ceiling in a light blue to coincide with the old fashion philosophy of HAINT BLUE colored ceilings.  Not so much as to scare off ghostly, evil spirits, but to go along with the southern color trend.  

Painting with a color similar to Benjamin Moore Blue Allure.  When the weather turns off rainy and cold he has to take a break from painting.  It's been a hit and miss process of working on this project since August.  He's doing a great job and is so close to being finished. Hallelujah and a half.  

"Have you considered...?" was a question a dear friend of mine often asked as we would have long in depth visits and talk for hours.  Have you considered?  This is less threatening to hear than you're wrong.  Instead she would gently say, "Have you considered.....?"  

I miss our talks and the comfort I had with this dear friend.  Slowly she was removed from her house to live with a son then onto a nursing home where when I went to visit her, she no longer remembered who I was.  This hurt.  When I left her room for the last time that I would humanly see her alive, people in the Chapel were singing, "LOVE LIFTED ME!"  This couldn't have been better if they had planned it.

When I hear this song I fondly remember her and our dear friendship.  I can still hear her laugh and remember our conversations.  Here's to you, Patty Cakes.

Last week, I was stunned at what was taking place in our country's Capitol.  Now it is no longer rumored that ARMED MARCHES will take place as the FBI is alerting the public about the marches.  Armed marches.  You know the kind with guns.  Attempting to storm the steps of State Capitols will more than likely happen.  I am concerned.  

I don't believe it will be all peaceful protest, but violent ones.  I'm concerned this will turn into a blood bath on the grounds when so many believe this is their 1776 revolution.
