OFF FOR THE DAY. The temps hit the mid 90s as we ventured out in the heat. It felt LIKE SUMMER for sure. Incredibly HOT. I had a dermatologist appointment in TOPEKA. On the way, we stopped off at our POST OFFICE BOX to see if our car tag was waiting for us. No tag. Better check the status on this to see where it is. The first one we ordered got lost in the mail.
I cashed a check at the bank and picked up some medicine from the Pharmacy.

I WORE A POWDERED BLUE DRESS TO TOPEKA. Seldom do I wear a dress these days, but it was HOT and I figured I'd stay cooler this way. I felt right at HOME when we ate at ST. MARYS which is a community where MOST WOMEN and GIRLS wear skirts and dresses. NO SLACKS. I didn't want to wear shorts and a blouse to the doctor's office and thought a ~slip over the head~ dress would be better. Quicker about getting into the appointment dress at the doc's.
We were early and I got checked in earlier than expected. Nurse asked questions, I got undressed for appointment and waited for the doc. I have a mole on my left shin and a place on my back that I wanted her to look at. The mole on my shin bleed over Father's Day week-end and she wasn't concerned about it. Called it a angioma. I thought she'd take it off, but she hesitated and said to take it off would mean a biopsy should be done and a punch biopsy would take months to heal. I think I should have told her, please take it off. I'm alright with it taking months to heal.
The place on my back wasn't a concern either, but I wanted it taken off so she agreed. Shaved off. This morning when I had my husband point it out to me, he pressed directly under the growth and it hurt. This wasn't normal. She'll let me know the results of the biopsy in a few days.
I decided that I'd visit with my regular MD about the angioma on my shin. It had gotten dark black, hard and raised. I believe when I see him in a couple of weeks for my physical, I will ask him what he thinks? I'd like it to be taken off.
Already next year's appointment was scheduled. I think there are a few more things to keep an eye on. This young doc looks over the skin so quickly, it's strange. Zip, zip, zip, zip, zip. She's finished. In and out of the exam room too fast.
Anyways...this is over for another year unless the THING on my back's biopsy comes back abnormal then I'll return to see what to do about it.
WE LEFT THE DOC's OFFICE and went to look at glass for our bathroom window. Found some and will return tomorrow when the store can install the glass for us. One more step closer to a completed bathroom. We picked some glass that they have in stock. It'll cost about a hundred dollars for the glass and to have it installed into the window frame. RAIN is the name of the style.
I spied an ANTIQUE and CONSIGNMENT MALL that I hadn't seen before. Owls Nest Topeka Antique Mall and Flea Market. I would like to return when we can lolly gawk in slow motion. Now I know where this neat place is, I will, Lord willing.
We stopped. Walked through it and I picked up a lil Raggedy Ann doll for $6. I fell in love with her immediately.

I sat her on a Victorian Parlor Chair by RAGGEDY ANDY. They seem to be quite HAPPY there. When I walk past them, I smile. Shouldn't HOME be a HAPPY PLACE to smile? Yep, I think so.
As I grew up, my older brother had a Raggedy Andy doll. My sis has it now. I didn't have one. I didn't really desire one at the time, but now it's a different day and I think I'm satisfied to have these at HOME at 68 years old. An old Lady still loves her dolls.
AS HOT AS IT WAS, I craved a unsweetened iced green tea. Off to GOD's STOREHOUSE. A casserole dish with lid caught my eye as this would be a nice addition to our collection. Rightly priced for SENIOR DAY DISCOUNT. Steve Colburn. Like his work.
With a storm blowing in, we decided to cut our shopping trip short and head HOME. Tiny showers on the way, but we made it HOME before dark. A nice change for us.
Had left-overs for SUPPER. Salad and iced-tea. The grape tomatoes are from our patio containers. Delicious. Put some laundry in and need to put some things away that are sitting on the dining room table. I must have a mental block about getting the table cleared off. Gotta improve this.
Looking forward to tomorrow as we continue getting things done. The Bathroom window will be fixed.
Hubby will get a haircut.
Need to purchase some GEORGE bluejeans for him.
Need some bottled water.
Stop off at Menard's and Loew's.
Want to stop by the Christian Book Store to see what t-shirts they carry and price them. SUMMER wardrobe update.
