FORGET ABOUT IT. I CAN'T.

WOKE EARLY AND WANTED TO GET AN EARLY START ON THE DAY.  Got around and went to TOPEKA through St. Marys.  Stopped off and got a steamer from MJs plus a banana muffin.  On my way to Topeka to do some shopping.

Straight to GOD's STOREHOUSE.  Looked around and picked up three pairs of very affordable earrings then looked at the handbags finding a nice all leather one for $4.80. Fantastic price.  SPIKES and SPARROW.  I must live a very sheltered life because I have never heard of this company before.  duh.

As we were leaving the store, in the Parking lot I noticed 6 very nice reproduction wooden Amish Pressed Back chairs.  Solid oak and in very good shape.  I wanted to see what they were marked and stood stunned at their low price.  $7 each x's 6 = $42 altogether plus tax.  Hubby said, let's get them.  We were in our small car, but he is the MASTER PACKER.  I sat on one of the chairs while he went back inside to purchase them.  He managed to get all 6 chairs into the back of PETE.  That's our name for the PT CRUISER.

I still had grocery shopping to do and wondered if we could get everything in the car now with 6 chairs in it.  ha.

Off to SAMs we went.  Needed to get some chinette paper plates, disposable coffee cups, yogurt and left with these AND avocados, Killer Dave's bread, grass fed beef, bagged salads for the week, romaine lettuce, gorgeous strawberries, spinach in a package and peppers.  Forgot the onion.  I had planned on going to ALDI, but postponed it as I picked up almost everything I needed.  I will return for more veggies in a day or two.  I messed up and didn't purchase organic salads like I can buy at Aldi.  Oh well.  Back to the drawing board, so I thought.

We drove over to the COTTAGE and unloaded the chairs.  Ate a salad from SAMs.  Rested and decided to go HOME and pick up the Victorian Gentleman's Dresser and bring it over.  Had to clear a path through the COTTAGE to accommodate a way to get the piece into the pink bedroom.

Drove HOME and proceeded to take the dresser apart.  It has three marble pieces on it which are rather heavy.  Downstairs they went.  Hubby took the mirror off.  Very carefully we managed to get the base of the dresser down the stairs onto the living room floor, through the house and out the door, rolled across the sidewalk and placed inside the back of PETE.  Whalaah, we did it. Packed the marble pieces and closed the back of the car.  The mirror will take a different effort to get over to the COTTAGE.  She's rather long and not sure she will fit in the back of the car. Thought it best to try on Wednesday.

After we got the dresser base out of the car, carried across the small yard, placed onto the porch and into the house, it rolled rather easily inside the COTTAGE.  The dresser base is sitting in the pink room.  We went ahh when it was all said and done.  RESTED in the small living room.  Back to the main house for supper and called it a day.

Supper.  Hamburger patties with ketch-up and bbq sauce, snap peas, peppers and onions.  I DO LUV MY KETCH-up.  Water to drink.  I decided that I would fix a hot drink with molasses. Building up my immune system again.  I will go in next week and visit with the gynecologist about results of D&C and removal of polyps.  I suspect a Hysterectomy will be on the agenda in the near future.  I read the test results in my health portal and looks like I will need a hysterectomy.  Shall see what she has to say about it all.

I will be quoting scriptures out loud about God's healing power and that He has a good plan for me.  When facing illness and disease,  I think it is best to focus on good things.  Thinking about asking God for forgiveness comes after godly sorrow.  What am I to examine and give to GOD?  I am.

SO the day was very eventful.  6 dining room chairs to go with the old oak table we have were purchased for an outstanding price then taken to the COTTAGE.  AND preparing for health update that looks like surgery is in the cards for me.  That means a 6 to 8 week recovery will have to take place.  No heavy lifting and much rest will be needed.  We will have to work rather hard this week before the doctor's appointment because of a very long recovery period ahead.

Moved most of the dresser to the COTTAGE and will attempt to get the mirror over as well. Noticed on part of the dresser a crack that will need glued and clamped.  We hung our old clock in the Dining room so we are making progress at getting pieces moved over.  PTL. More things were brought down from the upstairs to the main floor.  Lots of muscle making this happen.  I can smile at the progress.  GRIN from cheek to cheek!

Off to shower so I am squeaky clean before doing more laundry and moving the gorgeous mirror.

You know that saying, when life gives you a lemon you should make lemonade?  What if you don't like lemonade???  Sell it and buy something you do like with the proceeds.

I think I am to study up on more things concerning health and be better informed.  My Annette Reeder book about healthy lifestyle came in the mail.  I'll be reading it like a devotional.  So the multi-layered hangers and the book I ordered via computer have arrived.  All I need now is the chocolate tea.  The miracles of modern mail.

God bless,
~d

DECORATING

I knew a very frugal Lady named Edith that shared with me a excellent guideline for decorating. She said with ease, "If your room has clean ceilings, floors, and walls, and the windows have nice curtains, you'll have an attractive room."

John 3:7

“Marvel not that I said unto thee,

Ye must be born again.”

King James Version (KJV)

PSALM 118:17

I shall not die,
but live, and declare
the works of the Lord.

PROVERBS 24:3-4

By wisdom
a house is built,
and through understanding

it is established;
through
knowledge

its rooms are filled with rare

and beautiful treasures.

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS
SELECTING THE CORRECT SIZE CHANDY TO USE IN A ROOM MADE EASY. FORMULA MEASUREMENTS: Measure the room's height and width. Add together the numbers. Example: 8' x 10' room is 8 plus 10= 18" Use a 18" wide chandy. OR Take width of room calculating 2" for every foot. Example: 15' wide room. Take 15 times 2 = 30. Room needs 30" wide chandy. Standard distance between the bottom of the chandelier to the top of the table is 30 inches. When hanging the chandelier, make sure to hang it at the proper height. The bottom of a chandelier over a dining table or kitchen island should hang 30 to 32 inches above the top of the table or island. Most rooms call for at least 7 feet of space between the bottom of the chandelier and the floor.

WISHES

NO MATTER HOW BADLY YOU WISH with all your might that the something devastating that happened in your life hadn't happened and want so badly to go back in time to prevent it from happening...it isn't humanly possible to do this. You can't change the fact that it happened. IT DID. But JESUS can change the MEANING of what happened to you and give you PEACE. He can show you the way in which you are to go. God richly BLESS you. ~Deanna
