Many grow up with a imperfect father that harmed them. Sometimes not meaning to or in some cases not caring that his actions or lack of actions harmed a very delicate and trusting you. When talking about GOD...it can be a turn off to many because they have it in their mind set that a FATHER FIGURE is mean, uncaring, hateful, harmful, absent, mad, crazy, selfish, unkind, inconsiderate...the list goes on....and they want nothing to do with a FATHER FIGURE. They want nothing to do with a FATHER GOD. If this is the case....I'm very sorry and pray that you will hear me out. I pray that you be healed from past hurts and embrace a newness that will heal you and satisfy.
The scriptures will help us in seeing and understanding if we will surrender to God's care that Father God isn't human with characteristics that hurt or harm us. HE LOVES US, DESIRES TO HAVE A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH US, AND DESIRES US TO BE WHOLE. Through Christ as our personal savior and being filled with God's Holy Spirit we can be who God wants us to be. Then we can separate a awful upbringing with negative treatments towards us from a human to believing the true love of God, it will help. It will begin a healing that is needed.
As we grow to maturity and understand that humans have the freedom to rebel, make awful choices, don't know any better or have been reared in a ugly upbringing themselves that has misled them and broken their spirit in which they pass the ugly around... we might decide I don't have to be the results of unfairness or live a destructive lifestyle. Understanding the fallen nature of people that rebel against a rightful position as a child of God, rebel against holiness and rebel against goodness...surrendering to almighty God can lead us toward wanting to be lovely and whole.
Letting God's perfect forgiveness washed over us and through us begins a identity as a child that is loved, valued, wanted, needed, cared for, embraced. An identity of being a child of the most high God. Royalty.
As humans, we all are in need of a savior that loves us, forgives us, puts us in a rightful relationship and teaches us.
Perhaps you had no Daddy or the Father you had was absent or cruel. Perhaps he rejected you or led you astray. Perhaps you completely misunderstand what was going on. Perhaps your Daddy was a fine man that wanted good things for you, but you rebelled against him.
Father God, in the Name of Jesus and in the power of the Holy Spirit you will set us free from past hurts and tormenting thoughts, wrong paths and unhealthy lifestyles. You will give us understanding and righteousness.
Kindly, He will mend you and heal you...fill your heart with joy and well being.

Let me know your ways. Save me from myself and from the hold that demonic forces has on me.
Set me free.
Set me free from destructive ways and false idols.
Set me free to be the one that you want me to be.
Set me free from pain, past hurts, pride and pity.
Let me live a life that is more excellent. A more excellent way.
Be my shade tree on a hot blistering day. Cover me with thy life.
May I be in the shadow of the most high.
Be a cool breeze that's needed to refresh me.
Quench my thirst and fill my soul with your spirit. A spirit with your hope.
Be the lover of my soul and make me whole.
Lord Jesus, fill me with thy Holy Spirit and baptize me in your love.
I ask for this healing, this new beginning and that you be my God.
A God that is knowable and trustable. Dependable and unchanging.
Forgive all my unrighteousness and give me your healthy peace.
May I know your contentment, your Lordship, your leadership, your protection, your forgiveness.
You are all that is good and all knowing. My creator. The author and finisher of my faith. May I love you, obey you, not be afraid of you. You are love and grace and peace. Truth. The way.
Father God, be my God. Be my Father Figure. Teach me your ways. Bless me. Bless you.

Be real to me and may I feel your presence,
