WHAT A LOVELY DAY I had THAT WENT VERY WELL. I slept in and upon waking up, I immediately got dressed and groomed. Looked over mail and emails. Bundled up to make the trek to the LAB to have blood drawn. Drive went well. Parking was easy and I walked into lab where I got right in. No discomfort. The draw went well. Barely felt it. Smooth.
When I was a little girl, after getting a shot, the nurse would give me a sucker. Remember those days? I decided to go treat myself instead since there were no suckers given. Only SUCKER there was me. On my insurance statement that is mailed to me when I have blood drawn it is marked as having surgery. Surgery! okay.
Afterwards, I was going to go to McDonalds for good girl water and a cheap chicken sandwich. Changed my mind when Starbucks came to mind. I thought, "I'm going to TREAT MYSELF since I have been such a good patient. I'll get some coffee and a boxed lunch!"
I drove to Starbucks to get a bite to eat and a PEPPERMINT MOCHCA. This would be my breakfast and lunch combo. Went well! BLINKING and WINKING at the bill. How can a small coffee and a boxed meal be so much? Not an everyday occurrence so I went for it.
The chicken wrap was delicious enough with veggies inside. The dip was super good. I liked it. Not sure, but I think this is their peanut and coconut dip. The few cucumber slices....nah. Not so good. The few apple slices that were in the box...about the same. The coffee was good. I ate extremely slow and drawn out. I didn't spill any thing on me. That's a job well done. grins. You have to understand that I always drip food or spill beverages on the front of me when eating in the car or at a restaurant. ALWAYS. It's one of my SUPER POWERS. Not today.
Stopped by GOODWILL for Senior Discount Day and picked up some darling coffee cups with snowmen on them. 25% off because I am a Senior! A cute first curl box for memories in a nice display box. Miniature Christmas ornaments for tree that will go up this week. Check out went well. I find that seeing the vintage Christmas decorations is fun to me as a 64 year old woman. Funn. Another SUPER POWER to embrace. Vintage Christmas decor.
Stopped by Aldi's and then went leisurely shopping. Went well. Came HOME with four bags. Thank you LORD for this blessing.
Drove HOME feeling myself fading. I left the groceries in the car and will bring all in after I've had a power nap. ANOTHER SUPER POWER. It's freezing cold outside so I don't have to worry about food going BAD. Being deficient in Vitamin D and other vitamins is a huge part of being fatigued.
I was blessed today. This is the day that the LORD hath made. I will rejoice and be glad in it!
Even with so many ailments going on in my physical body, I can rejoice because I am a child of God. I have an eternal HOME in HEAVEN in my future. As my body grows old, my spirit shines bright and is young.
THIS IS THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR. A WINTER WONDERLAND IS COMING MY WAY.
