Time spent in prayer and reading the Bible is time well spent. Praying for our families and others, our country, our political officers, our elected officials, our military and law enforcement personnel is time well spent. Praying for revival.

Wild West Wednesdays and Smiles

Welcome Friend to Wild West Wednesdays! Smile...you're on candid camera! Aren't we the lucky ones to have such small cameras that can do so many functions for us???

As I visited Old Cowtown Museum in Wichita, I'm reminded that cameras have their place in History as Wichita worked at having some culture and be a part of how fast things were changing on the old frontier. These large cameras were found in the Photography Studio and in another one of their smaller exhibits.

My pictures here are not the best, but hope you 'get the picture' of how things were. Grins, or should I say, "CHEESE!"

Some of my favorite places in all of Kansas are the front porch swing that once hung on my Parent's old bungalow porch in Marion, my old rock house in the Flinthills, the Kansas Prairie with the gentle rolling hills with wind blowing through my hair and good 'ole Cowtown in Wichita that has no cars moving about on the streets. I could spend hours there. Sometimes do in my memory. What a blissful place to rest.

God loves you and remember that nobody else on this planet has a smile as pleasant as yours!!!

Tea With Thee

Dear One,
I meet you at the front door with a china cup in hand and another one waiting for us in the Family Room. The Kansas wind is blowing. Even though the skies are a pretty shade of blue, it's cold outside. Let me take your wrap and put Toddler down for an afternoon nap. Be encouraged...Spring is only a short time away. The trees will begin to have tints of green showing and the flowers will pop through the ground. This will be a welcomed sight. But first Valentines Day will come and we can greet one another with a smile and say Have a Good One!

How was your week-end?

This china we're using is one of my thrifty finds. I thank the good Lord that He allows me to come across these finds. I want to do a Tablescape with the rest of the dishes sometime. Perhaps you'll come over for Dinner one day next week and visit with me about how things are going in your world.

This past week I had a ton of paperwork to go through. Still not done. My brain is tired. My eyes are tired and my body wants to sit. A cup of warm tea and a squeeze of lemon will taste good just about now. I need a long break to think about the turn of events that are very taxing and require alot of prayer.

Praying Blogging Buddies are a rich blessing! With a warm heartfelt thank you I embrace your kindness and praise God for you.

I'm running behind on getting the chocolates mailed to the winners of guessing "Who Are These People???" I will have my hands less full tomorrow...so I plan on mailing them Tuesday. They are getting wrapped after this fine Tea Break I'm having with you.

We attended a Birthday Party on Sunday afternoon and it was a delight to attend. The children are precious to watch as they celebrated a three year olds birthday and then played with the new toys. I enjoyed the activity.

Today, I'm doing laundry, writing out some bills, going through more paperwork and wrapping that candy!!!

Help Me Decide

You're the best! You're going to help me decide which outfit I'm going to wear to a formal gathering tonite! Please keep in mind that these lovely garments come in just my size and I look smashing in all of them...grins...oh, I wish.

Dear Ones, I enjoyed your comments! You have helped me decide. Thank you. This was fun.

Plez keep in mind that this was ALL IN FUN and I picked the beautiful brown gown. With my height and weight I thought it would best suit me...also the flare of the skirt would cover a multitude of sins on this 'ole body of mine.

I liked the lacey one...thought this was beautiful as well.

The third one isn't my cup of tea.

The fourth one is more for Spring weather and I loved the color of the last one.

This past week-end the high light of my social life was going to the local grocery store to buy dog food. Grins and smile on!

Welcome to Home Haven! 2010 is well under way. During January I like to review how the past year has gone. I completed my first year of blogging and have had a great time. I'd like to share some of the Tablescapes from 2009 that I had at my place.

LORD willing I will get to do more in 2010 and try my hand at creating special table settings with a THEME. Making a pleasant table arrangement sure can warm up the Family's soul and that seems to help make a house...a home...then a pleasant Haven.

Wild West Wednesdays and Print Shoppe

Making HISTORY today with Wild West Wednesdays and printing. Hello Beloved! Old Cowtown Museum in Wichita, Kansas has a well equipped Printing Shoppe.

Now what civilized community wouldn't have a Print Shoppe to keep others informed about what's going on in the community as well as what's going on elsewhere in the world?

The Midwest may have been primitive in alot of areas, but not with the media.

It was fun to visit this particular place. When I was 17 years old and worked part time at JC Penney, one of my responsiblities was to run a manual printing press. The smell of ink and working alone in a basement location put a mark in my memory bank. I can recall the satisfaction I had when I made a sign that turned out well. I learned how to read upside down and backwards!!!
