Date With A Hottie

Not only was the Summer weather hot, 
but our thyroids are missing.  Therefore we are broken when it comes to regulating our body temps.  Here we are both sweating to the oldies because we're in our 60s these days.

A couple of 60 year old OLD PEOPLE

 that sweat at the drop of a hat.

Drop the hat….better sweat.

We ate at the Abilene, Kansas

on the edge of Town

Mr. K's Farmhouse Restaurant.

Twice.

Once for Lunch

and once for Dinner.

Twas good if I do say so myself.

My hair is a fright and I'm not wearing make-up.

My thermometer is broke, but not my sense of humor 
or common sense.

We went on a nice date to celebrate
my birthday.

Lunch

Large Salad for me and something else for Hubby.

At one time this restaurant was known as LENA's.

Dinner

Vegetable Soup and Combination Salad,

Dinner Rolls with Butter.

Fried Chicken with Mashed Potatoes and Gravy.

Something cold to drink.

NO DESSERT.

He loves Fried Chicken.

We had a very pleasant Dining experience that day.
We were fortunate enough to see President 
and Mamie Eisenhower there.
They were ever so quiet.
Not sure what got into them.
Perhaps they had Fried Chicken as well.

Then we went for a drive

with the air conditioner on.
