Decorating On The Prairie and Shuffling Furniture

 Remembering when my children were young I heard that you should rotate their toys.  Put some of them away and only allow them to play with one grouping of toys then after a few months switch them out with the ones in storage.  

The plastic tubs and storage bins on the market sure would have come in handy if we had had them back in the day.  A huge variety of colors, styles and sizes are available.  

AFFORDABLE as well.  

My favorite ones are the see through kind where you can tell what is in the tub with one quick glance.

If you have to store tubs in an area where it isn't climate controlled the heavy duty tubs may fare better than the thinner plastic ones.  HARDY.

When we did begin to store items in plastic storage tubs, it saved us a lot of heartache and mess when the area they were stacked in was watered on by a leaky roof.  Water pooled on the lids.  Items inside stayed dry.  There was no soaked cardboard boxes to rescue.  No ruined items inside.

Also when you relocate a great deal the plastic tubs are pretty hardy and can be used again and again and again which definitely pays for the tubs.

Having them on hand saves money and time.  You don't have to be looking for used cardboard boxes from grocery stores bins or spending mula $$$ on new boxes from packing stores.  This can add up.  I knows.

Yes, the plastic tubs can crack and break, but chances are you'll get your moneys worth out of them over time.  With all cautious people you'll want to make sure small children don't get trapped in them. Be alerted to safety.

We're SHUFFLING again!

It's so good for the body...great exercise. 

  

When the day comes that I turn loose of furniture 

for CASH, BARTERING or SWAPPING PIECES

 I have pieces that I like but am not sentimentally attached to.  

Hows 'bout you?

For the time being I like the Settee we purchased.

Will use her, but have to shuffle furniture 

to make room at Home Haven.

  She sat in the Dining room till we figured 
where else to put her.  Upstairs.

Up, up and away you go.

MY HUBBY IS A ONE MAN MOVING MACHINE.....HE WANTS TO DO IT ALL BY HIMSELF.

In a lot of ways this is alright with me, 
but he has to be reminded that it's not a crime to ask me to help when I can.

Did it!  THANKS HONEY.

Means the Bedroom will have to be shuffled.

AGAIN.

Sweet LORD, Thank you for the furniture you allow us to use while we make our HOME at Home Haven.


So what do storage boxes and shuffling have in common?  We live but once here on earth.  Organization goes along ways while making a home.  What is important to keep?  Decisions to make.
The Bible has recorded the number of sheep and cattle some Biblical Figures had.  Why?  Because God thought it important to hand down information through the ages to us to let us know 
just how it was and will be.

Interior Delight

December Blessings from Home Haven! I think this settee is a lovely piece of furniture. I would love to have one just like this.

Wouldn't this be a great place to sit and take a load off while warming up from being out in the cold?

Quietly sipping on a hot beverage would be refreshing and so relaxing.

My Grandma had a light blue room with dark stained furniture. When visiting her in Colorado, I always loved her Blue Guest Room that sat in the back of her house. This is a pleasant thought when I think about it. I'd like to have a room similar to hers. Now it's a enjoyable memory.

This particular settee sits in the
Historic Elgin Hotel located in
Marion, Kansas.

Don't we all need a quiet sanctuary to get away from the noise, the hustle and bustle of the day?

I think so. Even Jesus took time to get away by himself to rest and pray.
