The weather conditions were ideal for an old lady walking around the track. Managing to heat up as I walked and my hips did not lock up this time. This is painful when it happens feeling like vise-grips are tightening my hip movement as I walk. We think it is due to not having a thyroid as my husband and I both do not have thyroids and we both have this sensation of tight hip movements from time to time.
It doesn't do this all the time when walking. The weather conditions has something to do with this weird sensation.

I'll be having labs done in January so I am making a huge effort to lower my cholesterol, take some weight off and have my A1C in a good place. I have to concentrate on exercising, taking my supplements and eating lots of vegetables. I have close to two months or 8 weeks to make a dent in changing what I'd like to change. The weight loss journey plays out and I am going to bow my knee to working hard at this as I am hypothyroid which means I have a VERY slow metabolism then I'd like to. Shucks. It is a battle that I mustn't get discouraged about, but I do. π
HUBBY has gone to HomeDepot for things needed to support a beam in the cellar. He'd like to get this repair done before I add weight to the floor by placing my Blue Willow China in the china cabinet. I'm still wrapping glassware that's in the cabinet to put away. For the time being as a stepping stone, I have to store the crystal in the cellar. The china needs displayed. I've found that when you relocate and have moved that some tweaking takes place as you live in a place for a while. This move is no different. I'm just way slower than I like.
Taking care of what need to be done, takes a great effort in thought and then actually doing the task. My struggle is partly in being so slow and having a lack of ENERGY. Somebody HELP ze girl!
Laundry is in. Munched a light Breakfast. Sipping Hot Tea and water. Blogging. I will get dressed in my walking clothes and head out the door within the hour for another round of walking. After I walk, I get a πHAPPY feeling because I actually did the WALK. Checked that one off my TO DO LIST. I keep track in my calendar book of when I do get a walk in.
I weighed myself on MONDAY. I will be watching to see if any weight comes off. Tracking the calories as I am recording what I am eating as well. I know in my heart that the more veggies I eat, the better off I am. I have to cut back on the meats, cheeses, milk, breads, rice and pasta. I do pretty good not eating the breads, rice and pasta. Meats and cheeses are a weakness. Breads use to be.
Having eaten WAY TOO MUCH HALLOWEEN CANDY, I confess I really messed up. I pigged out. π· Halloween has come and gone and I stopped eating the sweets. Truth is, if I don't keep a watchful eye on this I mess up.
Like an addict, I have had to avoid certain things. I believe I went overboard on sugar because I wanted to. That mindful eating thing isn't easy for me as I fight it. I still haven't figured out how to NOT EAT SUGAR. Completely not eat it? I'm struggling with this sweet tooth I have.
I walked on Sunday, Monday (carrying an umbrella in the rain) and Tuesday. AFTER I VOTED ON TUESDAY, I went walking. I struggled. Made it and so glad I went the mile. I'm not sure I will walk on Wednesday as Hubby had a medical appointment and we shopped some which means I did some walking. Ready for a NAP now.
Grandson has plenty of π trucks, cars, π, trains with animals, π tools which he enjoys playing with. ππAlso likes to be read to. We have a large dinosaur book that he can't seem to get enough of.
I bought what I call GRANDMA TOYS for when the Lil Dude comes over to our COTTAGE. Earlier at DOLLAR TREE, I bought a πPizza Set where a child can play that they are slicing pizza. He loved it when he played over here last time. I purchased a few more kits for him from DOLLAR TREE and TARGET. One's a π¦ice cream cone kit, π₯€π½ dishes in a drain pan, πhamburger kit, πa wooden cake, πͺwooden cookie sheet with cookies, a π°cash register, some dinosaurs plus some dinosaur plates. I'm putting the kits in plastic storage boxes. I think he'll love playing at Grandma's.
When he has outgrown these toys, I believe I will donate these kits to the Library or to a Church.
