SHIP WRECK CASSEROLE

SWITCHING WHAT WAS IN THE PANTRY WITH THE FOOD ITEMS STORED IN THE FLOOR TO CEILING CABINET didn't go quickly.  Still taking place.  I didn't get as far and I had hoped.  Will continue on this tomorrow.  Going up and down the step ladder was taking some caution as I didn't want to slip and fall.

I snapped photos of the bakeware.  I have the bakeware.  As I was moving them out of the PANTRY onto the work station table, I thought of recipes I have fixed in the bakeware through the years.  One CORNING WARE dish screamed at me to make SHIP WRECK CASSEROLE again.  Hubby loves it.  I think I will surprise him and make some this coming week-end.

It has sliced potatoes, ground hamburger, baked beans, tomato soup, bacon.  I guess it got its name because after eating it, you may wish you were ship wrecked away from people and they probably wish you were as well.  ha.

The flavor of this casserole is delicious and like I said Hubby loves it.  Since I'm trying to cut back on pork products, I will try turkey bacon instead and see if this changes the dish very much.  This dish is a great thing to fix for larger size families.

Spray the baking dish first with cooking spray then go from there.  I will need to see if I can find a written recipe so I don't mess this one up.

I worked some in my freezer today trying to make it more organized.  After watching videos by some oriental women that have fantasy freezers that are incredibly organized, I decided I would use a trick they displayed with small cardboard boxes.  I have a few boxes in my small roll out freezer now, one to hold beef products, one to hold chicken, one to hold turkey, one to hold bison, one to hold ice cream containers, one to hold misc.  I will see about using one for frozen veggies and fruit.  I HOPE this idea works at making my freezer less congested with less mess. Easier to identify what we have on hand when opening the freezer seeing what each box holds.

In between breaks and working on rearranging the Pantry and the other cabinet, I day dreamed about how the Kitchen remodel will go.  I may go with a very pale gray color on the cabinets.  Still thinking about this as it would match what we have going on in the Bathroom.  Color theme flowing from one room to another is a good plan.  Makes an attractive decorating statement.

Midweek is approaching.  I will continue the rearranging of the Pantry.  Figure it will take all of this week as slow as I am.  Pacing myself is the way I must do this.  Up and down the step ladder I go over and over.  After the top three shelves are filled then I can work without the ladder.  This will be far safer for me.

Then I'll return to the boxes in the Dining room.  Hubby will repair the floor in front of the china cabinet to support the weight for the Blue Willow china.  Once there was a floor furnace in front of where the china cabinet is now which needs some work done to it to stabilize the floor.  By then the dishes will be found and I can play house with them.  This should be a fun thing if nothing else.

Another goal accomplished and oh what a feeling that will be.  Baby steps getting to where I need to go.

I CHOSE TO BE HAPPY ON A TUESDAY

OFF AND RUNNING.  Tuesday.  Had a change of heart about going to TOPEKA today.  πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–  Thought about it and decided to stay HOME instead.  A change of plans.

Too TIRED to travel.  I will redirect my energy into paperwork, laundry and switching out the PANTRY with the floor to ceiling cabinet items. At the end of the day, I sincerely hope to have these two spaces rearranged as needed.  I will get a great deal of satisfaction that this is
D O N E.  Hallelujah and a half.

Think I will photograph the small appliances we have and print off the images on paper then place in sheet protectors for a HOME LIFE BINDER.  A very GOOD thing to make happen on this beautiful day.  The KITCHEN window will be opened to let fresh air in and I think I'll turn a radio on so I can listen to music while working.  Maybe I'll sing along and be  H A P P Y.

ON THE HOME FRONT.  Hubby has been working on the replacing the OLD HOT WATER HEATER.  He has done wonders.  Today he hopefully will have it completed and the NEW HOT WATER HEATER will be in use.

Tomorrow, I would like to take the window air conditioner unit out of the Dining room window. In the SPRING, I already know that the Central Air will need some work done to it.  I prefer Central Air over window units.  I know I won't be loading the China Cabinet with my BLUE WILLOW DISHES.  Hubby is on the hunt for them.  In the mean time I will tink and putter about with this and that.

I plan to take another late afternoon walk to the POST OFFICE today to collect mail and get my exercise.  Keeping it simple as I need simplicity right now in my LIFE.  I am working at lowering my blood pressure and this requires that I simplify my LIFE even more.

Working at making a dent in getting the house in order.  Having the right attitude is needed.  Not getting worked up about the house being messy when the process of getting there means there's going to be lots of messes.  It's not the end of the world, but it does effect us.

What lessons should I be learning?  Have less to deal with and what I do have make sure it has a place to call home.  A place for everything and everything in its place rings louder than ever. Make sure to snag orderly ideas and apply them if possible and it works with your lifestyle. Keeping things as tidy as I have seen would require a great deal of maintenance which I don't care to be in bondage to.

I have changed how I fold towels and linens.  The results are likable and doable.  So I'm doing these different.  2020 was the beginning of this as I watched Marie Kondo videos which lead to watching other peeps' videos on how they keep house.  All was very helpful.  I know full well that I will not do everything the way they do and I have no desire to become a slave to being so tidy that if one hair gets out of place, a plague comes down on you.

Cleanliness without a headache.  Easy to do techniques and not rived up about it.  Quick and simple moves for a more beautiful and clean HOME.

Then the inside of KITCHEN cabinets and underwear drawers took place.  Closets weren't far behind with special hangers to hold 5 articles instead of one.

And so on and so on.  This is the year to downsize inside the house to where it appears uncluttered and orderly.  It will take some effort to make this become a reality.  I am finding out that I have a tendency to go in circles looking for the right fit.  This is just a part of what happens when working at placing things in a different HOME ENVIRONMENT.  Not everything fits and then there's the need to get something different to add to the place to make it work the most efficient way possible.  It seems to be like a living organism that keeps morphing into a different shape.

Ever thought of yourself as a lion tamer?
Where are the lions?  I have to perform as a lion tamer when it comes to the messes.  I must conquer the messes.  Keep the creatures at bay.

Why on earth does getting orderly seem to be so time consuming?  It does take effort and TIME.  It's just part of the program.  Staying busy and in motion is king.

While I'm working away,
I choose to be HAPPY about this huge lifestyle change.

KANSAS DAY ON THE PRAIRIE

WALKING TO THE POST OFFICE TODAY TO GET THE MAIL.  I don't believe I've ever done this before.  While living in this community, I always use the car to go to the Post Office.  When coming back into town after being out and about, I stop by the Post Office to retrieve my mail.

Our mail was delivered to our front door at the house across the river that we sold in December. We've lived in this present community before where we had to use the Post Office to get mail so this isn't new, but even then I used the car to pick it up.

Weather will be beautiful so I can walk in comfort to pick up the mail plus get my exercise and some much needed fresh air.  Afterwards when I return HOME, it will be a boost for me to have accomplished a walk.  The unpacking is extremely slow and I am slow, so having this fix will be up lifting.

The great state of KANSAS is 163 years old today as it is KANSAS DAY where our state became a STATE on January 29, 1861.   As a child in elementary school, we drew sunflowers and Meadowlarks for booklets we were making.  I still have my booklet hiding somewhere with my childhood artwork stashed in a cardboard box.  We colored pictures as well as drew our own artwork.  I suppose I was in the 3rd grade.

There have been turbulent times in KANSAS through the years.  HISTORY has a tale to tell.  As I age, I get more interested in historical events.  We no less live in turbulent times as we breathe.  This is one reason life at HOME needs to be more peaceful with harmony amongst the natives.  Come inside and shut the door keep out ze devil.  The world can remain outside.

Turning the television on to watch a movie is one of the easiest ways to let a fallen world invade my territory.  The internet isn't far behind as it is plastered with information and images that contributes to upheaval and chaos. Strife.

I don't completely hide my head in the sand when it comes to current events.  The present political disaster grieves me somewhat as our country's representatives need to work on workable solutions instead of cultivating problems.  Stirring up strife.  The name calling and slamming people and their chosen political parties doesn't rest well with me and I loath leadership that does this.

Instead of being logical, so many are behaving like cult members fighting to the death others that dare to question their political head.  They've become an extension of their leader and have loss their sense of freedom.  I have to detox from this.  It takes up too much room in my head to be healthy.  A concerned citizen I am and each of us choses battles to be a part of.  It's not difficult to be swept away in the nonsense.

Peace be still.

HOME LIFE is a priority for me.  It is my WORLD.  SO on this KANSAS DAY of celebration, I will.  My KANSAS HOME is where I am and HAPPY TO BE THERE.

Home Home on the range.

BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY WITH THE SUN SHINING

I WILL DELIBERATELY SOAK UP SOME SUNSHINE TODAY!  After a long spell of dreary, gray skies and chilly temperatures cushioned by fluffy snow, THE SUN CAME OUT TO SHINE TODAY.  So very thankful and glad this is taking place.  After LUNCH I will take a drive to see the local sights and get some fresh air.

The Car Wash will have a line of automobiles waiting for their turn to get a much needed spray. Best time to go will be when the televised FOOTBALL game is broadcasted this afternoon. Sports Fans will be occupied watching their television screens while munching on snacks galore. CHEERS will be heard throughout the neighborhoods.  Better to watch sports events than NETFLIX movies that seem to have contracted with the network using the F  B O M B as many times as possible.  Started watching a series where it seems like every other word rhymes with duck.  Extensive smoking cigarettes, murder and disrespect for mankind.  Turned the program off.  Good for us.  Less TV and more quiet evenings at HOME listening to beautiful music or reading, drawing, sewing, thinking, praying.

I prefer PBS with shows like DOWNTON ABBEY, ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL, MISS SCARLET AND THE DUKE, CALL THE MIDWIFE.  Milder programs with story lines that are easier to follow.

I've had a rather rough couple of weeks with my feet swelling so badly with blood pressure rising. My feet are still slightly swollen this morning, but am hopeful by this evening the different meds will kick in and take control of this water retention I am suffering from.

BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD about this newest round of challenges.  More reading and more nutrition attempts to help with lil old me.

Nutrition is key and how hard I have worked at improving the route I'm taking, seems to still have awful issues that need dealt with.  Hidden sodium and sugars are a monster that needs slain.  Knowing what additives and chemicals are in foods needs attention on my agenda.

I thought I was doing better at this.  Now paying attention to the soil content that crops are grown in is coming to light.

I decided that I would stop eating pork products this year or at least cut way back.  I'm doin it, but my ARMOUR THYROID is a pig product so what must I do about this?  Right at the moment, I don't want to switch to another med.  This blood pressure thing is one thing, but to switch my thy meds would be another round of adjusting.  Will wait for now.

NUTRITION.  Jack LaLanne was juicing before it was popular back in the day and he was ahead of the times when it came to nutrition.  He and Elaine, his wife were television royalty with his early morning exercise show.  Elaine is still alive and kicking at 97.  She is quite active and still bright as they come.  I think I'll order her latest book.  If I juiced, I think I'd be in better health. Going to try.

HOME FRONT.  Worked on Dining room boxes in search of my BLUE WILLOW dishes.  Only one small box was found.  Asking HUBBY where the dishes were, he was speechless.  He thinks maybe they are in the garage or in the back of the front bedroom.  Sigh.  He said he'll look for them this week.  I had told him to place the boxes with these dishes in the Dining room. Something didn't register and the dishes are missing in action.

I'll continue to put the things away that are still in the Dining room.  Another hiccup in getting settled.  It will be a great day when the dishes are located and sitting pretty in the antique China cabinet.  Not sure when that will be though.  Sigh.  Patience is required.

I got discouraged that each box has so many items in them that I'll need to take care of.  This is bothering me that we are not settled.  It should cause me to work faster.

The weather man is talking like this week will be in the 50s.  I believe I will enjoy this tremendously.  January is nearly gone.  The sun is staying up longer in the evenings.  I welcome that.

THIS WEEK I'll switch out two cabinets to make the pantry a PANTRY again with the other cabinet full of small appliances and pots 'n pans.  I lived with the switch and am ready to return things as they were.  After I get this done, I will return to working on the Dining room.  I need a change of scenery.  πŸ³πŸ²πŸ˜‹πŸ₯˜πŸ₯«

πŸ‘šLaundry, tidying and Valentines πŸ’Ÿwritten out.  I need to write a long letter to my friend that lives in Alaska and mail her an Anniversary card as they were married on Valentine's Day.  Since I'm thinking about it, I will be early with the card.  SO many times I think about her anniversary and next thing I know, I'm late.  Not this year and it is a leap year.

I will take short walks this week since the weather is going to be nicer.  This will be helpful to putting me into a good mood this winter.

My mantra these days is KEEP MOVING.  Keep moving and eventually you'll get there.  I want to give up at times as this move isn't an easy one.  My health seems like it is more challenging than I care to say.  My attitude isn't the best.  Room for improvement.

Well, time to close.

THE GOOD LIFE

WE ONLY HAVE SO MANY DAYS TO LIVE OUR GOOD LIFE.
What will you do with yours?  What will I do with mine?

How will I handle this precious time that I have been given?

~d

Psalm 90:12-17 KJV

So teach us to number our days, That we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Return, O LORD, how long? And let it repent thee concerning thy servants. O satisfy us early with thy mercy; That we may rejoice and be glad all our days. Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, And the years wherein we have seen evil. Let thy work appear unto thy servants, And thy glory unto their children. And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: And establish thou the work of our hands upon us; Yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.

SIMPLE SALAD

WHILE I WAS THINKING ABOUT WHAT KIND OF SIMPLE SALAD TO FIX FOR SUPPER, I placed some eggs in a pan of water to boil.  Something so simple as boiling an egg concerned me as I thought I had best reread how to fix them so they turn out without a green ring in them due to over cooking.  Having a SENIOR MOMENT.

Place eggs in pan and cover eggs with cold water.
Bring the water to a boil.
Cover the pan with lid and turn heat off.
Allow eggs to rest in hot water 10 to 12 minutes.
Remove from stove and run cold water over eggs.
Allow eggs to rest in cold water about 10 minutes.
They're ready to peel and eat.

Big salad for supper tonight.  Started with SPRING GREENS for the base.
Sliced hard boiled eggs.
Thinly sliced Almonds for crunch.
Shredded Mexican Cheese.
Sliced Strawberries.
Cherry Tomatoes.
Sliced Green Peppers.
Crushed Ritz Crackers instead of croutons.
Catalina Salad Dressing.

SALAD WAS VERY FILLING.  Takes a little time to prepare, but it's worth it.  Veggies with a little fruit, plus protein from the eggs, cheese and nuts, some grains and a little fat.  A well rounded meal with plenty of protein for me without eating actual meat.

Though it's cold outside, I sometimes desire a crunchy, cold salad for a meal knowing I'm eating much needed nutrition.

About a week ago, I had soaked the strawberries in cold vinegar water.  Rinsed in cold water then placed in a glass storage container lined with a paper towel.  I believe this is why they were still good to use.

Before fixing the salad, I soaked the greens in salt water for about 10 minutes then rinsed with cold water to kill amoebas and parasites.  Even with the packages saying the product has been washed, I have decided to go an extra mile and soak in salt water first before using.

SIMPLE SALADS on the prairie are what I need,

WINTER BLISS

WE'VE BEEN LIVING IN THE COTTAGE FOR ALMOST THREE MONTHS.
It is hard for me to believe this.  Time flies and yet we have so much more to do to unpack boxes and be settled.  I know it will more than likely be SPRING before the house is cleared of BOXES.

Very slowly we are getting the COTTAGE in order.  Hubby hung three hooks on the inside of the PANTRY door so I could hang aprons up.  This evening, I bought another hook for the bathroom door for robes and wet towels.

He is waiting on installing the hot water heater until next week when the temps are suppose to be in the 50s.  He'll have to turn the gas off and we don't want to be caught with no gas incase the temps take a dive.  WAITING FOR THE HEAT WAVE to visit us!

WEDNESDAY, we had a full day out and about that was FUN.  Gone all afternoon...getting HOME around 9:30pm.  We headed out in the morning with fog and when we drove HOME it was foggy.  Very THICK that visibility was extremely POOR.  WINTER is here.

BULLET POINTS:
POST OFFICE STOP.
DROVE TO SAINT MARYS FOR LUNCH.
SHOPPED AT SUGAR CREEK.
MJs ALMOND MILK STEAMER.
FAMILY DOLLAR SHOP.
DROVE TO DIFFERENT COMMUNITY.
PHARMACY STOP TO PICK UP MEDS.
VISIT WITH INSURANCE COMPANY ABOUT SWITCHING AUTO INSURANCE.
STORAGE UNIT STOP.
DROVE TO DIFFERENT COMMUNITY.
STAR BUCKS.
DRIVE TO MENARDS TO SHOP.
HOBBY LOBBY.
SUPPER.
ALDI.
DROVE HOME.
FUEL CAR.
UNLOAD GROCERIES.
FILL FRIDGE.
REST.
LIGHTS OUT.

I really should have clocked the miles to see how many miles we covered in a day.  I enjoyed every minute of the drive.  It was awesome to get out and see some sights.  Made the WINTER a little less confining.

TODAY...Laundry to do.
Boxes to go through.
Correspondences to write.
General cleaning.
Waiting to hear back from doc about bad reaction to new blood pressure meds.  My feet puffed up like sausages.  BP has remained higher than it should be.
Waiting for a o
rder from Dr. Colbert to arrive to my front porch.
PLACING some skinny faux candles into porch lamps.  They should fit then I can share some candle light for WINTER BLISS.
Start filling out VALENTINES for loved ones so I'm not in a rush.

MY ATTITUDE ABOUT THIS WINTER HASN'T BEEN AS PLEASANT AS I WISH.  Big baby here whining and pouting.  Wish it were SPRING.  March 19th.  54 days!!!  Praise the LORD.

HELPMEET WITH AN ATTITUDE IN WINTER

THE WEEK-END DISAPPEARED and we were glad to make progress.  The weather is certainly WINTER.  Bitter cold out, but warm in our tiny COTTAGE.  More snow this week? Not sure, but the skies are gray.

As I look out the side window of the COTTAGE, I muttered, I'm glad to be here.  Even with all the mess scattered about the house, I am glad to be here.  We are not wintering with taking care of a large house across the river that we had on the market.  We sold it during the month of December before it turned off bitter cold.  It is a relief to have been set free from the obligation attached to it.  Though I miss the 1883 house, I needed to turn loose of it.

With no MORTGAGE hanging over our heads, we can save money.  Thank you, GOD.  The utilities in Smallville are less.  Praise the LORD.  Taxes are less.  Praise the Lord.  Auto and house insurance are less.  Praise the Lord.  Groceries are not, but then I love going to TOPEKA and MANHATTAN to shop for necessary purchases and for entertainment.  We will subsidize the groceries in the Spring by having some patio containers bearing fruit for us.

I'd like to grow miniature cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, peppers, onions, multi-colored carrots, possibly some potatoes and herbs.

We will eventually have the COTTAGE in order and beautified.  I have to wear my big girl panties and when I cannot stand the messes anymore, take a walk around the block or a drive about town or go to TOPEKA and MANHATTAN.  Just getting away for a bit helps me out.

Back on the home front.  UNPACKING is full of surprises.  I unwrapped my WILCOX INTERNATIONAL SILVER COMPANY ASHLEY service set with tray.  I forgot how nice this set is.  Placed her on Grandma's Hutch this afternoon.  LOVELY.

Those chairs I've been talking about made their way to the front bedroom for safe keeping.  It took a bit, but we managed.  Hubby worked so hard to make this solution happen.

I can run the vacuum now in the living room.  The things that I need to do, swirl about in my head as I think about all of it.  I need to unpacked the china, arrange pieces in the china cabinet and hutch, empty lots of moving boxes, do some laundry, tidy the rooms still unsettled from this move, switch the pantry contents with the other items in the large cabinet by the pantry, etc. Being indoors during this bitter cold winter makes a good excuse to stay busy making way for the HAPPY HOMEMAKER!

I need to stay nicely dressed with hair done and make-up on.  Sweet perfume in the air.  Having a sweeter disposition should be noticeable as a helpmeet to my husband, I mustn't be bossy or out of sorts.  I don't always succeed, but I am trying.

With my day planned out, I can take a tea break sipping on my hot tea with cayenne pepper. Afterwards, I will sip on some lemon water.  Breakfast is a fast.  Not sure what we will have for lunch, but supper needs to be a large oversized vegetable salad with boiled eggs, chick peas and small black beans for protein.

Lord, PLEASE bless my day and time.
May I have some quiet time today to rest in you getting refreshed.

THE DOWNSIZING SHUFFLE

THE NEW WEEK IS OFF AND RUNNING.  Hubby and I made huge progress with doing the downsizing shuffle.  More dancing needs to take place before we win a trophy for participating in the marathon of LIFE.

We truly are giving it a go and a half.  I have to sit a great deal and rest during this ordeal.  Lots of planning takes place.  Thoughts are in motion.  Muscles aren't far behind.

Hubby is working in the front bedroom that's being used for storage right now.  He's shuffling things to make room for four large chairs that need moved out of the dining room and living room.  Until we can get two of them into my Husband's Art Studio that hasn't been created yet, they temporarily need stored elsewhere.  The front bedroom is the ELSEWHERE for now.

We are on a merry-go-round with this move.  Shuffling things from here to there.  Live with it for a minute then shuffle again and again and again.  This downsizing shuffle is not toning any physical muscles.  It's necessary to do to make us fit in this tiny place.

One might say this is excellent exercise for two nearly 70 year old peeps that do indeed need to stay in motion to remain mobile.  All the shuffling does wear me out though.  I have to be my own cheerleader to stay motivated for getting this task of getting settled done.  Part of the challenge is that the manpower hours are limited, the moving takes extra long which can eat yo' lunch.  It doesn't happen quickly.  Slowpoke Avenue.

I wonder if any Dance Studios specialize in THE DOWNSIZING SHUFFLE?  I wouldn't suggest taking the course unless you want to learn a new two step and a tango that gives you a headache with a sore body.

I don't want to complain, but it does seem like this is going on FOR EVAH.  I've had lots of practice at relocating and setting up new HOMES to live in.  This move is one of the toughest I have been a part of.  I will PRAISE THE LORD when it is completed.  Our age and physical bodies with health issues are something to take into consideration.  We move so much slower and with less square footage to have belongings in is a recipe for pulling hair and spitting nails. It is CHALLENGING.

To not be too uptight, I have to rest and make this adventure 'funner' than it is.

COME DANCE WITH ME, SWEETHEART

We purchased two, tall book cases for using temporarily in the front bedroom until build-ins are made later in the year.  Some of the shelf pegs for supporting the shelves were missing.  Over to MENARDS we had to go as the local hardware store was closed and the next one we checked did not have these pegs.

Driving over to MENARDS requires time, energy and a dependable car.  We made the sacrifice to go in hopes of getting shelf pegs so the shelves could be put into place then loaded.

Of course, I desired some green tea.  Starbucks first then over to MENARDS.  I always enjoy looking around there as I can imagine and dream of things to come with remodeling our 1900 Folk Victorian Cottage.  One must have a hope and a dream to forge ahead into remodeling. Money comes in very handy as well, doesn't it?

They had the right size pegs.  I picked up some bottled water and Stove Top Stuffing that was a $1.50 a box.  Oh how I love DRESSING.  Next best thing to potatoes.

We didn't stay long as it was getting dark and we wanted to be HOME before night fall.  The drive across the prairie was beautiful with snow covered hills and fields.  Terribly cold out.

When we got HOME, I turned on the faux candles that were placed in the porch lamps on a table. A warm glow in a cold world.

THIS WEEK, the chair shuffle will take place and free up space in the middle of the Living room and open up the small Dining room full of boxes.  My BLUE WILLOW CHINA and BLUE GARLAND CHINA are in boxes.  I didn't meet my goal of having the china in the china cabinet. Perhaps this week will be better.

Thinking through where the dainty pieces shall go.  I had placed antique platters in the bottom of Grandma's Hutch earlier during this move.  I want to hang the platters on the walls so for now I will pull these platters out and place them into the buffet that sits in the Living room then after we get further along, I'll hang them above the china cabinet and Grandma's piece.  The Blue Garland can return to Grandma's Hutch and the Blue Willow to Mom's antique bow front China Cabinet.

Lord, I need all the help you can give me so this simple task that seems so difficult is made easy on an old woman like me.  ATTITUDE is 90% of the work that needs done.

ATTITUDE matters.  With prayer it makes a difference.

The out of doors is bitter cold so I don't mind staying indoors for warmth, but CABIN FEVER lurks inside the COTTAGE.  I stood outside on the porch late last night to breathe in some fresh air. It was so quiet in my neighborhood that I wasn't bothered by the chill of the night.  Back inside I went to warm up and watch a movie, THE HILL.  One of the best movies I have ever seen on so many levels.

It spoke volumes to me since I had to retrain myself to walk when I was 6 years old.  Wanting to do what others could, but I couldn't has been a thorn in my side for a very long time to where I must surrender to God's plan for my LIFE and do things the way he wants.  His way.  It isn't without purpose.

Laundry to do today, wash my hair, unload some moving boxes and do the downsizing shuffle again.  I must eat more veggies today and be satisfied that I am eating nutritious food.  When shuffling has taken so much effort it may not be a subject of interest to many.  That's fine.  On my end of the dance, I find some relief in typing about it on the keyboard instead of the dance floor. Only in my dreams can I waltz across the floor and remain invincible.  Now where's that trophy?

DECORATING

I knew a very frugal Lady named Edith that shared with me a excellent guideline for decorating. She said with ease, "If your room has clean ceilings, floors, and walls, and the windows have nice curtains, you'll have an attractive room."

Ye must be born again.”

BLOSSOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED

BLOSSOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED
As long as I live, I will have to continually submit to God's plan for my life. You will be blessed because you turned your life over to God. Be confessing how good God is and tell Him you agree with who He says He is. BELIEVE and watch miracles happen. Be not afraid. ~Deanna

WISHES

NO MATTER HOW BADLY YOU WISH with all your might that the something devastating that happened in your life hadn't happened and want so badly to go back in time to prevent it from happening...it isn't humanly possible to do this. You can't change the fact that it happened. IT DID. But JESUS can change the MEANING of what happened to you and give you PEACE. He can show you the way in which you are to go. God richly BLESS you. ~Deanna
