MORNING CAME AND WE GOT AROUND TO GO BABYSIT our youngest grandson for a few hours. We took with us a large storage box filled with wooden train tracks, trains and miniature objects like signs and buildings.
He loved it. Anything with wheels, he really likes.
It amazed me how he contently played while rolling the small wooden train engines and cars along the wood tracks. He pleasantly played as I sat there on the sofa watching him.
Several times he patted the floor and said, "Sit." wanting Grandma to sit on the floor with him to play trains.
Grandpa showed him a short video of a real rolling train with sound effects on his phone that he recorded. Have mercy, he loved it. He wanted to watch it over and over. He likes trains a great deal.
Our Saturday morning was wonderful. After his mom and dad returned, we visited while sipping on hot tea, coffee and ate cherry kolaches. Our conversation was interesting as we chatted about health info, conspiracy theories and politics. It's best to not talk about some subjects. Gotta remember that.
It was raining when we left. Went HOME and took a nap. Ate leftovers for lunch. I don't believe today I will push myself. A slow poke day. Indeed.
SUNDAY. I believe I can rest and read today as it is another rainy day. I'll tink some with the placement of pots 'n pans. This is challenging as I have to figure out where to go with the overflow. This will be my weekly project. Pots 'n pans in a new location. I did finally successfully rearranged by switching the floor to ceiling kitchen cabinet with the pantry. I had to try this out and live with the previous arrangement. Did that and decided to make the floor to ceiling cabinet a place for small appliances. The food pantry returned. I LIKE IT and need to leave it alone. Period.
Now I have to make peace with the pots. Lord, help me. Something so simple seems to require a great deal of thought as I have to make every inch count when dealing with a tiny KITCHEN.
As I sit at HOME, real trains are blowing their whistles to where I easily hear them. Train traffic has picked up in this area. It's a treat to see our Grandson get excited when real trains blow on by their place. He mimics their sound and delights in seeing them pass by between trees. At a distance, they can be seen making their way across the prairie.
