Bucket List

2010 didn't go exactly like I had planned...hum.
The only new year's resolution that I even attempted to do was to learn to speak French.  Off and on while traveling in the car I listened to French CDs.  I'm still doing this...so I hope to continue to learn as I go.

I wanted to Belly Dance and play the piano as well.  Not sure I will ever belly dance, but the piano might be a go.  One out of three 'aint bad'!

On the serious side, I got to see first hand how good intentions sometimes get sidetracked by life's surprises that weren't expected.  Like cancer rearing it's ugly head.

I'm thankful to be alive.  Like given a second chance to do some things different.

Have I?  Working on this.

This year I hope to take some weight off.  So I decided NO ROOT BEER till my July Birthday.
More salads and less breads.
More motion and less complaining.

The FUN new year's resolutions will be.......spend more money...  grins..........on thrifty buys!!!  My husband will be glad to read that one.

Also I want to get the Family Room completed.  No fears here.  Just do it.

With the year I had, I thought I really should make a BUCKET LIST.  Over Christmas Holiday I watched the movie.  I've seen it before, but wanted to watch it again.  So we did.  I actually liked this movie.

My Bucket List is subject to change.  Besides, I don't think there are any deadlines.  So with that said here's my Bucket List!  Not in any order.

Please feel free to laugh out loud or ignore.  Do you have a Bucket List?  I do now!

Think I'm Going To Make A Bucket List

We have had alot of fun shopping and after my Sis packed all her new treasures...she pulled a leg muscle loading the car. She's going to spend a few days with our folks before she returns to Iowa. I am so glad my Sis came to visit...thank you, Sister...I luv u. She helped me with babysitting lil miss. I wasn't to lift, push, pull, strain for at least ten days after surgery. My Husband has been extremely sweet to me during this time...Honey, I luv u.

We picked up a sweetened McDonald's Tea before meeting our Mom over at the Manhattan Mall around 10 this Thursday morning.

I have the sweats and have to sit down to cool off. Praying that after round two of surgery, my body will be better regulated, will gain strength and be on the mend.

We had Lunch and did a small amount of looking around in the Mall then drove to my favorite Thrift Store. I sat. I sat. I sat. I look around from the chair and spied some goodies. I sat. I sat. I sat. I stood. I sat. I checked out and sat in the car with the cooler on. With the cooler air blowing on me I started feeling better.

By this time it was TREAT OURSELVES TO ANOTHER SWEETENED TEA IN THIS 95 degree WEATHER WITH HIGH HUMIDITY. Twas soooo hot that the tea went down with ease. GULP. I have been a iced tea drinker for years...but skipped the sugar. What has gotten into me? The sweet tea was delicious.

Next week I will again be eating more veggies as I know I must. Still not drinking coffee. I thought it best to eat some carbs while I recover from surgery and prepare to have another surgery in September. AND hopefully get some cleaning done so the haven is absent from dust bunnies for awhile. Harvest time isn't far away and I start thinking about sweaters. I have bought two light grey ones so far. I started cleaning my closet and drawers out. Think I will make a Bucket List!!!

Dear LORD,

Please bless my blogging friends and be real to them.

In Jesus Name I pray,

Amen

May you have a sweet life,

DECORATING

I knew a very frugal Lady named Edith that shared with me a excellent guideline for decorating. She said with ease, "If your room has clean ceilings, floors, and walls, and the windows have nice curtains, you'll have an attractive room."

John 3:7

“Marvel not that I said unto thee,

Ye must be born again.”

King James Version (KJV)

PSALM 118:17

I shall not die,
but live, and declare
the works of the Lord.

PROVERBS 24:3-4

By wisdom
a house is built,
and through understanding

it is established;
through
knowledge

its rooms are filled with rare

and beautiful treasures.

BLOSSOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED
As long as I live, I will have to continually submit to God's plan for my life. You will be blessed because you turned your life over to God. Be confessing how good God is and tell Him you agree with who He says He is. BELIEVE and watch miracles happen. Be not afraid. ~Deanna

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS
SELECTING THE CORRECT SIZE CHANDY TO USE IN A ROOM MADE EASY. FORMULA MEASUREMENTS: Measure the room's height and width. Add together the numbers. Example: 8' x 10' room is 8 plus 10= 18" Use a 18" wide chandy. OR Take width of room calculating 2" for every foot. Example: 15' wide room. Take 15 times 2 = 30. Room needs 30" wide chandy. Standard distance between the bottom of the chandelier to the top of the table is 30 inches. When hanging the chandelier, make sure to hang it at the proper height. The bottom of a chandelier over a dining table or kitchen island should hang 30 to 32 inches above the top of the table or island. Most rooms call for at least 7 feet of space between the bottom of the chandelier and the floor.

WISHES

NO MATTER HOW BADLY YOU WISH with all your might that the something devastating that happened in your life hadn't happened and want so badly to go back in time to prevent it from happening...it isn't humanly possible to do this. You can't change the fact that it happened. IT DID. But JESUS can change the MEANING of what happened to you and give you PEACE. He can show you the way in which you are to go. God richly BLESS you. ~Deanna
