There's just something about the middle of the week that makes me think it's an extra WONDERFUL DAY.
The local paper is put out to sell and I usually go slowly to buy one after I leisurely pick up my mail from the Post Office. A slow-paced drive in the car about TOWN makes me a HAPPY CAMPER. This time of year the trees are turning colors and crisper air will soon arrive. We had a cool off then like KANSAS it turned back into the Dog Days Of SUMMER. Hot all over again to where the air conditioner is on and fans are blowing to whip the air about.
Wishing I could sit out on the front porch and sip an afternoon coffee sounds like a winner to me, but sigh I will not be doing such. I take an oath that before September turns into October I will take the time to sit still and just enjoy the out of doors.
Been BUSY rearranging our stuff and it has been a work-out.
I have a ways to go before the entire cellar is cleared out as well as the garage. Always on the back burner for me. I need a HOLIDAY. Perhaps sitting outside would be a slow down
and a relaxing moment that erases tension.
This will have to be my HOLIDAY for now.
I have hopes of going through an upstairs closet to look at the WINTER coats that can be turned loose of and/or dry cleaned before the snow blows. Have to clear off a bed to lay these articles on before the moving rack is made available to help in the downsizing effort of this ole woman that is making preparations
for PRE retirement time.
Did you ever think you'd have so much to do before saying hello to retirement time? This is a surprise for me. I believe it is better to be ready as you go so that there isn't so much to do.
Still it's just a thought and reality always raises her head to surprise me when I think I have everything under control.
SURPRISE....you weren't expecting that were you?
On Sunday night, I was eating red licorice and felt an odd sensation in my mouth as if the licorice had gone up between the tooth and the gum. Actually a tooth broke. Not what I had expected. I'd go to my dentist the next morning to be examined and low and behold this tooth had had a root canal on it two years previous. The break was repairable to where I can have the tooth crowned.
Thankful my dentist can SAVE the tooth once again.....still my dental bill will be huge. Sigh. Mixed emotions there. I'll have the rest of my LIFE to pay this bill off. Should this be a comforting thought
or an excuse to be unhappy?
or an excuse to be unhappy?
My glass isn't half full or half empty...
I'm blessed to have a glass.
I'm blessed to have a glass.
Blessings and I hope it is a good day for you,
d
