LAVENDER DREAMS

Welcome to my world.

Rather SIMPLE, but I need super easy and this fits the bill.

I wasn't using this galvanized bread box, so she was repurposed for faux lavender.

She's sitting on a shelf for the time being.

1) container

2) craft foam for the bottom of container 

to help hold the lavender in place

3) faux lavender

4) enjoy the fruits of your labor

I love the lavender so much, 

next will be wreaths for the front doors.

DIY $2 Clothes Pin Snowflake Ornaments Using Dollar Tree Items (70)

I am not a crafty person, but after watching this I think I could create some nice wooden snowflakes by myself.  Have glue gun...will try.  I'll need to get some wooden clothes pens and embellishments from the craft store next week.

10 Days And Counting

With a HAPPY HEART I speak this!  10 days til SPRING!!!  boink boink boink

TEN DAYS TILL SPRING BEGINS.  Just about this time every year I get a bit cabin crazy and need out of the house.  Truthfully I am craving sunshine and powdered blue skies with flowers popping through the grown, splashes of green hue appearing in the trees and bushes.

Alright with still wearing sweaters and sipping hot chocolate.  Going barefooted in the house is an all year round activity.

TODAY, I woke knowing that the clock had been adjusted to spring forward.  Wish that Daylight Savings Time wasn't.  My knee is not better.  Iced it after I took my morning meds.  Thankful for the recliner with foot rest.  Hubby shuffled some boxes in my office to make room for two arm chairs to sit.  We're prepping for ceiling workers to come Monday to do repairs so I shuffled about making preparations.  Lil Miss was here.  She helped me shuffle.  The Dining room table shimmied against the walnut chest.  Extra dining room chairs moved up against the window.  Other chairs on top of the table.  The Living room wing chairs moved to the Dining room along with ottoman.  Here comes the recliners.

The House is once again ever so messy and topsy turvy.  This time next week-end so hoping that the Living room, Dining room and Kitchen will be back to order.  By the end of the month, may the OFFICE be neater than it is with the old fashioned treadle sewing machine in there so I can sew old fashion quilts.  Hopefully at the start of SPRING.....bedrooms will be dusted and vacuumed.  THEN SPRING TIME with rain storms and fresh air.  Birds chirping and flowers blooming.        

I had gone to the Laundromat last night where the clothes dryers were not putting out enough HEAT to completely dry my towels so I left them in the car overnight in baskets knowing that I could go to the cottage the next day to dry them.  Did so.

Made some SLIME with Lil Miss.  I picked up Elmer's Glue from Goodwill along with the Magical Liquid for a song.  Lil Miss showed me how to fix it.  Twas fun and easy enough.  When I priced the Elmer's Glue on the internet, my eyes bugged out at how much I saved buying this glue from Goodwill.  SLIME AWAY at these prices.  That was a prosperous shopping trip the day we went to the THRIFT STORE.

Lil Miss made some Glow in the dark Slime like this.  

Turned out great.

Sometimes the outcome from the thrift shop isn't so great, but this go round it was.  Cha-ching.

On this day number TEN, I made pot roast for supper.  
Shuffled furniture for preparations to paint ceiling.  
Made Slime for entertainment.  Lil Miss helped.  
Dried three loads of towels, folded.  Lil Miss helped.
Vacuumed the floorboard of the car.  Lil Miss helped.
Iced my bum knee.  Still hurting.
The count down continues.  Things to usher SPRING in will be different each day.

DAY NINE....shall see what it brings.
