QUIET TIME AT THE ZOO

LIFE ON THE PRAIRIE SOMETIMES SEEMS MORE LIKE LIVING IN A ZOO.  Just an opinion.  It takes some skill and talent to calm the environment around here at times.  The tears fall as I look at our clutter still in the house.  I cannot believe we are living this way.

Here it is the 3rd of the month.  Working some then resting a lot.  My patience is hanging on by a thread.  Stay with it and watch things make sense.

NEW YEAR'S EVE and beyond.

New Year's Eve was a quiet one with tidying in the house and eating popcorn while watching a double feature on the tele.  Ate a few sweets and stayed up to wish my sweetie a HAPPY NEW YEAR.  Lights out.

New Year's Day was productive with cleaning and I walked a mile at the track.  Rested and started the DANIEL FAST/DIET.  Hubby and I both are aiming to lower our A1c, cholesterol and I'm wanting to break out of obesity bondage.  Praise the LORD.

Day 2.  I managed to return to Hob Lob to find their CHRISTMAS sales at 90% off.  The tree I was so pleased to purchase at 80% off was now 90% and they still had some.  They were down to a couple of trees and that's all. Still delighted that we paid under a hundred dollars for a 7.5 foot flocked CHRISTMAS tree.  I wanted to buy some more acrylic gems, but they were out.  I am happy I have as many as I do and will have to make this work next CHRISTMAS.  I did buy some jumbo ornaments that will work as fillers on the garland.

MENARDS had rearranged their store's merch to where it is thinning out.  SAMS was gone before CHRISTMAS DAY.  WALMART, TARGET and the other places I shop have thinned out their CHRISTMAS merchandise.  Bye bye.  Time for Valentine's. 💘

We're placing our CHRISTMAS DECOR for the exterior of the house in the SHE SHED gathering it together so we know where it is.  Eventually it will go to the cellar, but it will be grouped together for easier inventory.  Figuring out how to decorate will follow.

Hardly mailed any Christmas cards in 2025.  I was late on some and let the rest go.  Since I had a head cold few sweets were made.  Skipped the fudge altogether as I had started the DANIEL FAST/DIET and did not see any need to fix fudge that I'd have to avoid.  I did make some chocolate covered pretzel rods and peppermint patties before New Year's Day.

DANIEL FAST/DIET.  I'm on day 3 of the Daniel Fast.  I have been drinking teas and need to turn loose of these while on this plan.  I will drink only water starting on day 4.  I don't think I'll have any issues with caffeine withdrawal. Sugar is a different issue altogether.  Boredom with not having meat will set in later on the diet.  This I know.

Weighing myself took notice so my weight is recorded as I start.  I'm walking every day and as the year progresses I'll be lifting hand weights and doing stretches.  That's the plan.  That's my HOBBY.

I'm going to take each month of the year and focus on different things to accomplish.  Each month my goal will be considered and worked on.  Since this is the month of January, CHRISTMAS decor will disappear and be boxed up.  New pull down window shades need purchased and hung.  Smoke alarms need the batteries switched out.  Deep cleaning throughout the house will continue.  Dreams will be dreamed.

As for health, mindful eating happens.  Exercise happens.  Quiet time happens.  Studying happens.  Writing happens.  Sewing happens.  Artwork happens.  Making plans happens. Prayers happen.

Working at keeping calm, being de-stressed and getting organized will happen.  No ZOO. Pleasant thoughts and a pleasant LIFE meditating on the goodness of GOD and encouraging one another.

Medical appointments are piling up.  Making the best out of each day though and when we have an appointment the time spent away from the house will be used wisely.  Let the joy begin.

All the best and God bless,
~d

HAPPY NEW YEAR 'ALL

WHAT SHALL THE NEW YEAR BRING?
We shall see.

ON SUNDAY around 3:20pm, I headed out the door to walk to the football field, walking 4 labs around then walked HOME.  Took me an hour and 10 minutes to complete my walk.  There was a bench at the field that I sat on a few times to catch my breath.  It helped.  I was ready to sit in my living room chair to cool off.  After I sat a spell, my legs felt like rubber and I knew I was finished for the day.

You know you're old when walking a mile and a half to two miles takes so much out of one making it difficult to get about.  I managed today.  I pray I can continue a walking program.  The thought of walking more doesn't excite me.  I have no way of knowing if I will ever like walking to get fit, but I can purpose it in my heart to walk for good reasons.  Mark this off my WALKING CHART that I have not started yet.  I have high HOPES to walk a great deal in 2025.  Eat better and declutter our messes.

Ate supper then retired to our TV room to watch PBS's jAmesTowN.

When this series first broadcasted, I started to watch it about JAMESTOWN of the 1600s.  Didn't finish at the time.  For some reason it has appealed to me for now.  I understand that there are three seasons of it.

NEW YEAR's EVE is here and I think we will take it easy instead of going somewhere to celebrate the start of a new year.  I needed to have some labs done earlier in the day to see where my TSH is for thyroid health which meant a trip to TOPEKA.  It's been exactly 6 weeks since I started a different thyroid medicine dose.  We got up early, did some chores, went to the post office and gas station for fuel.  Traveled over to the lab and had blood drawn.  Went to Breakfast and I ate about half of my meal.  Boxed the leftovers for my daughter's dog to chow down on.  Being resourceful.

Since the grocery store was near, we went to get a STARBUCK's unsweetened Iced green Tea, some V8 and pineapple juice.  I was feeling a bit off after I ate and thought a V8 would help straighten out how my body deals with food.

Then we went to GOD'S STOREHOUSE where my dear Husband found a very nice 19th century American Empire Eastlake dresser with a huge attached mirror and a slab of marble.  What a find he came across for $45.oo!!!  After it is worked over I'll share a pic of it.

It had a broken piece off of the top of the mirror's wood work so I ignored looking at it closer until he mentioned it.  Believing he could repair it, I opened a drawer where the piece that was broken off of the dresser was inside.  Then I opened the bottom drawer and a beautiful crown piece was in it.  He hadn't bothered to open the drawers so having the missing pieces in hand was exciting.

The entire piece can be polished up with the missing pieces added to make the piece worth buying.  A beautiful piece for sure.  So we did, but we'd have to return home to get the other car so we could haul the piece home.

Before we headed home we stopped off at Natural Grocers for groceries.  Drove HOME and picked up the other car.  I'd still drive our larger car over along with my Husband driving the smaller car.  The large mirror went into the car I was driving and the base of the dresser fit into the car my hubby was driving.  He loaded up the dresser.

I needed a few more groceries from SAMs.  I ran into my good friend Eileen and we chatted an hour.  Good to see her then we journeyed Home to unload the American Empire Eastlake dresser into the house where it will be repaired then placed in the SHE SHED along with my Victorian Bedroom Suite.

The weather has turned off flat cold and I was chilled to the bone when we got home.  It's taken the entire evening to warm up.  Supper was corn bread and black eyed peas.  Watched some tele and will welcome the new year in with a quiet evening at HOME.  HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I'm alright with staying HOME.  Red Hots and peanuts to snack on before the new year has stricter guidelines to honor.

2025 will be with expectations.  I plan on using January 1st as a start date to walk as often as I can.
Eat more veggies and fruit.
Eat less meat, dairy and grains.
Take my supplements.
Continue to drink lots of spring water.
Clean out from under the Kitchen sink.
Completely clean out the closet.
Tidy the utility room.
Organize the Master Bedroom that's being used for storage.
Write a book and get it published.
Sew.
Decorate a doll house.
Read scripture each day.
Clean out a storage unit.
Thin out Christmas decor.
Paint some rooms in the COTTAGE.
Etc.  Etc.  Etc.
Lord willing.

Here's to be a blessed year ahead of us.
Praying.

MORNIN' LOVELIES

MORNIN'.  Blessings to you.  Did you have a good Christmas?  What have you got planned today?

I watched the 1994 version of LITTLE WOMEN on the tele last night because I was craving visiting that time era with the lovely clothing, hair styles, interior decorating and subject matters. I love the greenery that is placed inside the March's home for Christmas time.  I believe it is something I can imitate.  With Christmas behind us, Epiphany is before us, then Valentines. There are other televised version of LITTLE WOMEN, but I am fond of this one for so many reasons.

Which daughter is the most like yourself?  A little of each, I think.  I definitely was a TOMBOY growing up that would enjoy writing, doing art and playing a piano.  Later, I desired the finer things in life and became a HOMEMAKER with children encouraging my Husband's career. Nowadays, I still enjoy the finer things in LIFE, decorating, writing, art, music and family ties.  I am in no means a little woman.

Our COTTAGE greenery will remain up for a few weeks as I am not ready to put it away for the year.  We did not decorate the porch except for wreaths on the doors due to being occupied with decluttering the COTTAGE which was a priority.  After visiting the Sapulpa Route 66 CHUTE, I have lots of decorating ideas to keep on the back burner for next year.

Cloudy outside with temps in the 30s hopefully rising to the 50s this afternoon.  This will encourage walking for exercise.  AND AWAY I SHALL GO.

Stepping backwards.  There was no Christmas music available on the radio stations when we were traveling HOME from our Oklahoma CHRISTMAS the day after.  I was hungry for it and none was to be found.  The CD player in our car isn't working so I depend on the radio.  The day after Christmas things returned to regular programming which I wasn't ready for.  Still in a Christmas mood.

I met my Husband when I was 18 years old and he was 18 turning 19.  We are now elderly and getting into our 70s.  We're now elderly.  That's old.

A BLAST FROM CHRISTMAS PAST.  We decorated some, I went to a theatre production with some friends, went to the Festival of Lights in Manhattan, drove around looking at the Christmas decorations in Manhattan, looked at lights in Topeka at Potwin Place, toured the Sapulpa Route 66 Chutes, admired the well decorated Jenks, Oklahoma house, celebrated Hubby's 70th birthday twice, Christmas Eve service and watched our grandchildren open their presents Christmas morning.  VERY BLESSED to eat too well.  Now to return to a more modest calorie intake. grins.

The Chutes

House in Jenks

FUTURE PLANS.  About October next year, I will check out the contents for the porch decor, then in the later part of November while the weather is still somewhat mild, I think we ought to wrap the tree bases in the yard with lights and put up the porch lights with garland.  The day after THANKSGIVING put out the Nativity Scene.  Closer to Christmas, deck out the porch Christmas garland with individual items to brighten up the garland such as faux snowflakes, oversized bulbs, giant jingle bells.  The Christmas tree will be set up right after Thanksgiving along with the greenery all over again.  A good plan for now.

This WINTER, I really should go to the cellar and thin out the Christmas decor.  When we hit a nice day, I will need to work on the storage unit getting it thinned out as well and ready to completely empty it.  The $85 it cost each month can be used in a better way such as savings for everyday living, toward a new car, a much needed vacation, Home repairs for when appliances need worked on or replaced.

A new BUDGET will be looked at over the HOLIDAYS.  It's a simple BUDGET which cannot be ignored.  I have plans on how to operate our HOME FINANCES in a different way.  Day after PAY DAY, I believe I should write out all the checks for expected bills and have them ready to go for the month instead of writing them out as we go during the month.  I tend to fret on did I pay that bill...I can't remember...oh yes, I did pay that bill.  My mind would be at ease knowing it was already done instead of fretting over it.

In January, I'd like to go see my MOM in Iowa.  With it being wintertime, I will have to really watch the weather forecast to make sure the traveling weather is good.  https://www.almanac.com/winter-extended-forecast-farmers-almanac. May be a mild WINTER.

CALORIE COUNT.  Yesterday, I had celery with peanut butter for breakfast with water.  Lunch was a modest salad of sliced cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, a handful of blueberries, cup of cottage cheese sprinkled with cinnamon, small amount of feta cheese.

Supper was small amount of roast beef, noodles and green beans.  Snack was Chaos popcorn with some thin ginger snaps.  Water throughout the day.  I made a lemon water at one point. Trying to remember to do this.  I was FAITHFUL taking ALL my vitamins and minerals.  First time in a long time.

I don't know why I can't seem to stick with taking these everyday.  Back to it.  This is what I will concentrate on for improved health.

I'm monitoring my blood pressure and edema more thorough.  The edema in my feet has virtually disappeared since I stopped taking the HCTZ and blood pressure meds.  When ever one has a potassium deficiency, the blood pressure rises and edema happens.  Water pills cause electrolyte deficiencies.  It seems like a horrible cycle taking water pills.  What is suppose to help with the edema causes deficiencies with electrolytes which causes HBP issues. Vicious circle.

It's been about a month since I stopped taking the water pills with Olmesartan.  A MONTH.  The swelling in my feet is nearly gone.  My blood pressure is in a pretty good range.  After reading about Olmesartan, I understand that diabetics are not suppose to take it.  duh.  Why was I?

Some of the meds I have been taking I think are deliberately designed to cause a rise in one's glucose, lipids and encourage weight gain.  Disgusting.  I am now OFF of the meds I was taking that encouraged weight gain, diabetes, high cholesterol and edema.  Can you believe this?  I can.

With a NEW YEAR coming, will I be doing things differently?  Yes.  I have purposed in my heart to simplify, disregard weight, exercise, write a book, work on a doll house, sew, garden, paint rooms in the COTTAGE, get more organized, yes.

SELF CARE will be a huge priority with mindful eating.  I watched a wonderful video of Annette Reeders and she shared about how the food industry wants you addicted to their foods which have chemicals that shuts off natural indicators to when you are full to where you keep eating.  I agree.  The pharmaceutical companies want you addicted to their drugs to where you are a cash cow to the system.  I agree.  I think that the meds are designed to cause other health issues that you will willingly take additional meds.

When one has their eyes opened to the truth, it should become one's responsibility to decide what to do with this information?  I have done a horrible job of changing for the better.  I vow to do BETTER.

I will be mindful of what I am eating and drinking.

NEW YEAR OFF TO A GREAT START

LACKED ENERGY TODAY.  Too many people I know have  ~co v id~  and it's bothering me some.  That's the only thing I can think of at the moment that could be causing this lack of zeal.  I had a blessed day anyways.  Had a nice long nap this afternoon.  Twas bliss to me.  Uninterrupted sleep.

I did very little today due to the fatigue.  My food intake went well.  No hunger pains.  Somedays, it seems effortless to eat the way I need to in order to lose weight.  Once in awhile I struggle with desiring stuff that I shouldn't eat.  Portion control is something I have to remind myself about often.

Breakfast was Quaker Oatmeal.  Water.
Lunch was small amount of Pizza Bites.  Iced Tea.
Snack...Hot Green Tea.
Supper...a Vegetable Salad with 6 Ritz Crackers and small amount of Poppy Seed Dressing.
If I get hungry later, I'll decide where to go with this.  Perhaps an apple or popcorn.

When I phoned the Hospital this afternoon I was told that my Mother had checked out.  Phoned Mom at her HOME and she answered the phone.  Sounded good.  Clearing her throat some.  Dr. checked her heart, lungs and oxygen.  All good.  She had been at the Hospital since Friday after passing out.  Short stay.  I wonder if this is too short of a time?  I'll be telephoning daily to see how she is doing.

My sister is still in town with her.  I'm not sure what to think about this as Mom has  co v id  and would still be contagious.  Mom's place is quite small and people in the apartment are in close contact with her.

Tomorrow is a new day and I have plans to be more active.  Better than today.  I did some dishes, took a nap and said good-bye to two of my large Mercury Glass SANTA Ornaments.  Downsizing.  Taa-taa.

The downsizing continues.

Blessings,

THE YEAR WINDS DOWN AND I AM THANKFUL

MY DAY GOT AWAY FROM ME.  I spent a good two hours typing up a letter and packaging White Chocolate with Peppermint covered Pretzel Rods to go in the mail.  They should reach their destination come Monday.  Putting some things away just about as fast as I could. Still prepping to paint the Dining room.  ha.  That's a big laugh as I am taking forever to get to it. I know the New Year will ring in before I get to it SOOOO after January 1st.  The first full week will have to do.

Between this house and the cottage I will have a very full year.  Yes, I have something wonderful to look forward to in 2022.  The year of downsizing, getting better organized and working at being healthier.  Praise the Lord.  Being thankful for it all.

Off to go work on the COTTAGE before it snows.  I will clean a folding table before placing items on it that are from the pantry.  Clean the fronts of the Kitchen appliances.  Gather up some things to donate.  Sweep some floors and clean out the fridge.  That will be just about it for the day.  I'm slow, but thank GOD I'm still moving.

Day dreamed some about what to do with the interior of this humble Cottage that we are working on.  Gathering ideas.

No breakfast this morning.  Lunch was Five Bean Salad with black olives.  Supper was grilled chicken with green peppers, onions, tomatoes.  Water to drink. Snack was a sugar-free Russell Stover Peanut Butter Cup.

Checked up on my St. Louis Son who said he was weak.  Hadn't felt well since Sunday.  He's better today.  Fever broke.  Has a dry cough.  No chest pains.  Omicron?  Not sure.  He said he was going to get his booster on Monday then got sick on Sunday.  Not sure if he still will get the booster or not.

On the other hand, my Oklahoma family has had some change as my oldest Granddaughter has moved to a different state.  She is ready to spread her wings and try something different.  I wish her well and will continue praying for her.  Praying for all my family.

Praying woman.

This year is winding down.  Recalling the past 12 months in this chapter of 2021.  2022, Lord willing will be a time of more downsizing, remodeling a cottage and decorating the house we are living in now.   This will be my part-time job slash HOBBY.  I am hoping to get much done. Much.  I'd like to pick some recipes out of President Eisenhower's Mother's Cook Book.  I will return to reading the King James Version of the Bible.  Reading deliberately slow and steady.

Thinking back through the months...celebrated Grandchildren's birthdays.  We grew another year older as well.  So did our children.  A new grand baby was born on what would have been my Dad's 95th birthday.  A favorite cousin and her husband died in a tragic auto wreck and my oldest brother passed away in Kansas City.  I still have times that it doesn't register.  The making of my brother's burial plans was a nightmare that I need to put to rest.

We visited President Abraham Lincoln's Home and Presidential Museum in June.  It was awesome.  A dream come true as I had wanted to visit years ago.  I would like to go back in pleasant weather and see more of the sights downtown plus the cemetery.  In August we stayed in the Presidential Bedroom Suite at Clover Cliff Ranch Bed and Breakfast outside of Elmdale, Kansas.  Then in November we visited Mary Todd Lincoln's childhood home in Lexington, Kentucky.

We started the year out with finding out that my Husband has Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.  Dr. is taking a wait and watch approach which means I have to research health issues.  So we decided not to wait to change how we eat.  Swooped down on organic foods, doing our best to avoid GMO foods, reading labels and dancing to the check-out line with organic fruits and vegetables, organic milk, organic this and organic that. The less ingredients the better.  Spring water to drink.  Cutting back on sugars, grains, dairy, breads.  Enjoying lots of vegetables.  Soy-free eggs now in the fridge.  Grass fed beef when possible.  Going to try organic chicken next.

In April I had the worst physical I have ever had.  High cholesterol, type 2 diabetes and am severely, morbidly obese.  I blinked my eyes and the wheels inside my head started moving.  I continued to research health issues and how to tackle them in a natural way.  The war began.

By August my A1c was down, but my cholesterol was up.  I had gone on the Mayo Diet where I could eat as much meat as I wanted.  This didn't pan out for me as I believe it bumped up my cholesterol.  I'd give it another go on food selections.  December's blood work was way better. Cholesterol was down in the area it needed to go down in.  A1c was down.  AND I lost weight by eating organic and cutting calories.

I decided that I will continue making different food choices and continue taking Vitamin D3 5,000 IU supplements, Ceylon Cinnamon 2000 MG with Chromax Chromium Picolinate 100 mcg and Apple Cider Vinegar supplements.

We spent many Summer hours over at the Cottage.  I went through many large boxes sorting through the chaos.  Hubby created three large flowerbeds, dug up and transplanted our beloved Irises.  A huge undertaking in the Summer heat.

We'd turn loose of much, but have a ways to go to have completed this task.  Lord God, I ask for strength and endurance for us to get the remodeling completed, downsized and settled into the Cottage.

Snow is suppose to blow into town this Saturday.  After it snows, I will quietly observe God's nature through the windows of our HOME sipping on hot chocolate relaxing and praying.

Here's to a beautiful and blessed year.
To God be the glory.  Great things He has done.

A FEW DAYS BEFORE THE NEW YEAR X♡X

AS THE CALENDAR YEAR COMES TO A CLOSE, I am thinking about the past year and what I would like to work on this coming year.  If allowed.  What a year it has been.

PAUSE.  SIGH.  TAKE A VERY DEEP BREATH and breathe.

These two ladies seem to have overcome the obvious and make the best of things when it comes to knowing what is important in life with a friend or sister.  I smile looking at this illustration.  Peace on earth.  Goodwill toward men.  Giggle some where ever you are. Make LIFE happen with some humor.  You might as well enjoy this life!

As the coming week approaches, I will begin to put HOLIDAY DECORATIONS away. The front doors' will stay put until sometime in January.  The fireplace mantle will be taken down NEW YEAR's DAY after reading the CHRISTMAS CARDS and praying for the ones who mailed us one.

The Dining room tree is down.  The Nativity Scene's piece by piece will be wrapped and placed in storage box this week.  The entry way will disappear this week.

The large tree will stay up until January 6th Epiphany along with the stair rail.  The front doors will be the last to go as it was the first to go up.

Santas will go into hiding probably today.  Snowmen will stay out until Valentine's Day decorations go out if any.

With that said...it will happen as it happens.  I still have not started making CHRISTMAS SWEETS.  ha.  I have the ingredients sitting on the kitchen countertop just waiting.  Today will be a good day to get this started.  Fudge first.  Chocolate covered pretzels and peppermint patties.  I may skip the chocolate covered raisins.  I was going to try dipping large marshmallows in chocolate.  Made a special effort to find sucker sticks.  Shall see.

Hubby has a Eyes, Ears and Nose Specialist Doctor's appointment this week to check out an enlarged lymph node.  I will hit two birds with one stone as we will be near a Joann Store and can purchase cardboard storage boxes for little Pipka figurines that I have.  We knew about two enlarged lymph nodes, but a third one was talked about last September.  We didn't know about it.  The endocrinologist aide did not seem concerned about it, but we are.  The wait and see what it does has already taken place and I sometimes think our present day endo doesn't want us as patients anymore because if we get sicker than his shinning record gets a smudge mark on it.

HUBBY's cancer surgery was back in 2013.  That's 7 years of wait and see.  Now a third lymph enlarges.  Sometimes you've just got to do what you know is right even if the medical personnel aren't taking a serious enough approach to it.  Amen.

I have been reading up on weight loss from the past reading that in 1910 the average age of death was 49 years of age for a woman.  When I stop to think I am 65, I'm old.  I am blessed even though it is more difficult for walking.  I question what have I done in my life during those years? It's sobering.  I have too many messes hanging over my head.  I pray that I am allowed in 2021 to get so much cleaned up and in order that I have some peace of mind that this is in order.

If this were my last year to live, there would messes that need cleaned up.  What really do I need to leave behind?  This gives me courage to clean out my closet.  To part with much.  To downsize and be in order.  Amen.  I can do this thing.  It will become my 2021 HOBBY.

AND HOW ABOUT YOU?  WHAT WILL YOU DO DIFFERENTLY OR WORK ON?  Slow down and smell the roses or speed up to rearrange the world?  Maybe a little of both.

X♡X BLESSINGS,

d

Be KIND!

I CAN DO THIS!
The new year has started.  Sick for two weeks drained me. Disappointing, but I took advantage of sitting and napping. Sipping fluids and being encouraged that I can survive eating different kinds of food that I don't usually eat.  Far less food.  It easier to cut calories when the body doesn't feel the best due to illness.

THINKING on this new year and what I need to wrap up and want to do.  I'm getting to the place where I want to play more than snore, work and sweat.  With being ill for two weeks, I think this attitude is formed because I am weary from illness.  A type of going into survival mode.

Working is necessary to keep a household up and running.  The bed sheets need washed, towels are piling up, dust has settled and paperwork continues to breed.

This week I hope to get caught up on the towels and a basket of shirts.
Sweep the Guest room floor and wash the bed sheets.
The CHRISTMAS TREE has been taken down and the other Christmas decorations placed on the dining room table to be boxed up and put away.
The sewer backed up in the basement so there is some clean up that needs to happen.
I have started going through a pile of old magazines this week to tear out articles I want to keep and then pitch the rest.
Winter projects will be deep cleaning in the all the rooms.
When the weather is better, I still have boxes of paper to go through out in the garage that were smoked damaged from the 2016 house fire.
The spare room upstairs that is full of stuff needs decluttered and cleaned out so that a new floor can be laid.  If I put an hour a day into this project, it will help make the room a better place.

My OUTING THIS WEEK:  I want to go see the movie LITTLE WOMEN soon on the big theatre screen.

Be KIND to yourself,
d

I'm Rich, Have A Handsome Boyfriend and Bought The Dress Of My Dreams!

Gosh, You Guys.......I had a lucky streak on New Year's Eve playing The Barbie Queen of Prom game with my Daughter and Lil Miss.  I didn't get crowned Queen or Princess of the Prom, but declared I was a winner 'cauz I had cash on hand, won the heart of a handsome boyfriend that wanted to go steady, and bought the cutest formal dress to wear to the Prom!

Catch a glimpse.

We snacked on healthy munchies, played this board game, watched The Smurf Movie
and an old John Wayne Western then RANG in the New Year!

A Family fun filled evening.

Snow gently fell all evening long
and we had no place to go but where we were.
Answered prayer.

 Glad it's the new year.
A toast to you,

DECORATING

I knew a very frugal Lady named Edith that shared with me a excellent guideline for decorating. She said with ease, "If your room has clean ceilings, floors, and walls, and the windows have nice curtains, you'll have an attractive room."

John 3:7

“Marvel not that I said unto thee,

Ye must be born again.”

King James Version (KJV)

PSALM 118:17

I shall not die,
but live, and declare
the works of the Lord.

PROVERBS 24:3-4

a house is built,
and through understanding

it is established;
through
knowledge

its rooms are filled with rare

and beautiful treasures.

BLOSSOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED

BLOSSOM WHERE YOU ARE PLANTED
As long as I live, I will have to continually submit to God's plan for my life. You will be blessed because you turned your life over to God. Be confessing how good God is and tell Him you agree with who He says He is. BELIEVE and watch miracles happen. Be not afraid. ~Deanna

WISHES

NO MATTER HOW BADLY YOU WISH with all your might that the something devastating that happened in your life hadn't happened and want so badly to go back in time to prevent it from happening...it isn't humanly possible to do this. You can't change the fact that it happened. IT DID. But JESUS can change the MEANING of what happened to you and give you PEACE. He can show you the way in which you are to go. God richly BLESS you. ~Deanna
