MIDDLE OF THE WEEK ALREADY and A STRESS TEST!

TOMORROW, I WILL DO THE 'REST TEST' PART OF THE DUAL ISOTOPE STRESS TEST that I did on the treadmill today.  I made it through the walking part of the test!  I was extremely nervous about doing this test.  My blood pressure was very high before I did the walk like 181/85.  This is high for me.

I avoided caffeine for two days before  this test so afterwards, I drank a green tea.

During the test, I pretended that I was being chased by an evil person so I could walk fast for the entire time.  grins.  It actually helped me stay walking fast.  Though I got light headed, I made it through the test and did not STOP.  Blood pressure got up to 221 over 90 something.

With this being the first day of AUTUMN and walking on the mill, I took it as a sign to start my walking program again.  This was the START.  My HIP did not complain one bit.  PRAISE THE LORD.  THANK YOU GOD.  It's been since February that I walked my miles.  Close to 7 months.  I'm so happy to be getting back to it!

The nurses had trouble getting the needle in my arm.  The veins were rolling.  4 tries on the left arm and several on the right before the thing worked.  I have to go through this again tomorrow for the rest test.  I hope it goes better than today.

After I walked, I drank some water and ate some Ritz crackers while waiting for the pictures to be taken of my heart.

I was really glad to get out of there!  Hubby took me to LUNCH at THE COFFEE PLANT in Manhattan.  I had the BEST SALAD I've had in a very long time.  I'd do this again for sure.  We took our time eating and talking then went to HOBBY LOBBY.  I was a little light headed, but overall felt like shopping and walking.  Enjoyed looking at the CHRISTMAS DECOR.  Tis coming.

Later we drove HOME and I had a 3 hour NAP.  SO tired.  I suppose tomorrow it will be difficult to walk.  Probably will be sore.  Shall see.

We spent our evening hauling CHRISTMAS TUBS to the storage unit.  Ran into a problem.  The boxes were smelling musty.  We will have to OZONE the contents.  Tomorrow we're going looking for a dehumidifier for the cellar.  We have to stay on top of this.  I had questioned as to why the storage boxes were so dirty looking when I had them wiped clean when we moved from the big house to this COTTAGE?

I know it gets dirty around here, but I thought the storage boxes were dirtier than they should have been.

We're making slow progress on getting better organized.  Now I had best get to bed.  I need my rest.  Hubby is already snoring.

Last night I did not sleep well at all.  I think I was wired over the STRESS TEST.  AT about 3 in the morning I was shaving my legs.  I figure since I couldn't sleep I might as well shave!  GRINS.

Tonight, HOPEFULLY I will sleep just fine.
Here's to sawing logs.

STRESSFUL WALKING

YESTERDAY WAS A VERY LONG DAY.  Long.  I got up early to drive over to the town my Mom lives in so I could go with her to NEWTON for a stress test.  I sat in the lobby for two and a half hours which flew as I read about REVERSING DIABETES a book that Dr. Colbert wrote quite a few years ago.  I had ordered this book through the internet costing far less then to order it from his ministry.  Sorry Dr. Colbert.  I will patronize your ministry another time in the near future.

From what I can tell I have done so much wrong with my food intake that it's a sad sad sad sad story.  I continue to change my lifestyle as I go.  DOing my best to give up High Fructose Corn Syrup especially with ketch-up, it has been an easy adjustment.  Looking more frequently on food labels to avoid such hidden sugars that have fancy names.

I have to agree that HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP isn't good for people.  That I will agree with.  More vegetables needed.  ORGANIC veggies.  Exercise and less stress for sure.  Avoid certain foods like white bread, white potatoes, pretzels, crackers, potato chips, white rice and sugar, sugary drinks.  Eat beef that is range fed not grain fed as the grains are very likely to have been involved with corn.

Mom (87) was weak after her test, but felt pretty good considering everything.  We went to WENDY's for a late lunch and I ate a half salad with avocado in it.  Drank water.  We visited.  Then we went to see my older brother who lives in a assisted living nursing home.  He looked good and was walking well without a walker.  He made sense as he talked.  Last February he was falling down so much he needed a walker.  Broke some ribs.  5 months later he is so much better.

I drove HOME across the Flint Hills listening to CHRISTMAS MUSIC sang by Kathy Mattea.  I bought this CD from the THRIFT STORE for a buck.  Songs I haven't heard before, but she sings them beautifully I couldn't help but enjoy CHRISTMAS IN JULY.  Supper was grilled Hamburgers.  I played pool on the computer against my HUSBAND and one of our SONs.  Was fun.  I can brag a little about WINNING.

TOMORROW we will hopefully go to the KANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY GARDENS to their Iris Society Iris Sale.  Hopefully we will get some beautiful ones to add to our personal garden.  I think the IRISES are all BEAUTIFUL so the pickens shouldn't be difficult.

DECORATING

I knew a very frugal Lady named Edith that shared with me a excellent guideline for decorating. She said with ease, "If your room has clean ceilings, floors, and walls, and the windows have nice curtains, you'll have an attractive room."

John 3:7

“Marvel not that I said unto thee,

Ye must be born again.”

King James Version (KJV)

PSALM 118:17

I shall not die,
but live, and declare
the works of the Lord.

PROVERBS 24:3-4

By wisdom
a house is built,
and through understanding

it is established;
through
knowledge

its rooms are filled with rare

and beautiful treasures.

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS
SELECTING THE CORRECT SIZE CHANDY TO USE IN A ROOM MADE EASY. FORMULA MEASUREMENTS: Measure the room's height and width. Add together the numbers. Example: 8' x 10' room is 8 plus 10= 18" Use a 18" wide chandy. OR Take width of room calculating 2" for every foot. Example: 15' wide room. Take 15 times 2 = 30. Room needs 30" wide chandy. Standard distance between the bottom of the chandelier to the top of the table is 30 inches. When hanging the chandelier, make sure to hang it at the proper height. The bottom of a chandelier over a dining table or kitchen island should hang 30 to 32 inches above the top of the table or island. Most rooms call for at least 7 feet of space between the bottom of the chandelier and the floor.

WISHES

NO MATTER HOW BADLY YOU WISH with all your might that the something devastating that happened in your life hadn't happened and want so badly to go back in time to prevent it from happening...it isn't humanly possible to do this. You can't change the fact that it happened. IT DID. But JESUS can change the MEANING of what happened to you and give you PEACE. He can show you the way in which you are to go. God richly BLESS you. ~Deanna
