A Fresh Start

Traditionally, the month of January is a time of year to rethink what one wants to do or change during the new year that has started.  Starting anew.

Like a clean slate.

Haven't you found that there are times in life that you think about what has gone on and want to do things differently? 

A FRESH START.
A different direction.

I tend to do this. 
A New Year's Resolution.

This year this ritual wasn't as radical as in previous years. 
IF THE LORD WILLs is more prominent 
with priorities being in order. 
I think this is the way things should be.

If the Lord wills........ James 4:15
Instead you ought to say,
"If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that." 

Doing things solely as I think they should be done has been exhausting.  
Trusting God and leaning on HIM brings peace and comfort.  
Yes, we are to have a life and participate in life, but being so headstrong 
and not allowing God to have His say, is like kicking against the pricks.  

It is painful.  Bruises and bloodies the foot.  
Sometimes it causes a dislocation of the foot joint. 

I'd prefer to be able to stand, walk and have peace.

Micah 6:8
He has showed you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.


A fresh start revives.
Lord, I surrender all...to you.
You're in charge and I am not.
You are God and I am not.
I'm relieved.
I am refreshed.

The battle is Yours.
