SQUEAL LIKE A PIG

THE WAR RAGES ON from public opinion about wearing masks or not wearing masks during this pandemic if there is actually a pandemic or not.  Very messed up in a day of information and technology.  The confusion of what is going on.  This was a hoax to destroy our President and our government?  This was a farce?  The entire world was hit with Covid 19 just to get Trump?  What?  The entire world.  I don't agree with the entire world getting ill because they believe Trump needs destroyed.  Open head insert brain.  If you are a thinking Christian then you HATE trump?  

When our President suggested that you HATE him and don't want rallies because you choose to wear a mask then I became a party all my own.  I have had others use the HATE WORD before because I dared to not agree 1000% with our President.  Because I disagreed, I was told that I HATED HIM.  Then the infamous words were spoken in the form of a question, "Do you HATE our President so much that..."  The 'COME LET US REASON' went out the window.

Some think that if you disagree with our President then you are a HATER.  We are to be robots not able to think for ourselves.  We are to be operating within a mind control environment.  Ridiculous.         

Personally, I will not war with you about wearing a mask or not.  I wear a mask.  If I get assaulted when I am at a store for wearing one then I will defend myself by doing what I can to fight off the one who assaults me.   Because I choose to wear a mask does not make me a TRUMP HATER.  If it comes down to this then, I believe our President has succeeded in controlling your every move and thought.  There can only be one way to be and that is worshipping a President instead of the Lord Jesus?  Satan fell from heaven when he wanted to be worshipped over God.   Does Trump want us to worship him?  Squeal like a pig.    

The Wild West has returned to our great country.  It is dangerous out there these days more so then it has been for many years.  

I am not what you'd call an overly involved individual when it comes to politics.  At least I wasn't, but 2020 happened and I have found myself spending hours reading and watching things about our country and  present President.  First came the impeachment hearing.  Then the White House Coronavirus Task Force Briefings.   There was no social distancing amongst the ones speaking.  Sadly the Task Force Briefings became a campaign platform for our President to run down the other side and leave Covid 19 behind in the dirt.  Reading tweets by our President and watching about 80 hours of the briefings where our President did the majority of the talking educated me into not liking what I was hearing.

Controversial discussions about washing hands, wearing mask and social distancing.  Seeing the lead on the Coronavirus Team VP Pence not wear a mask while touring a hospital did not rest with me.  That is not setting the right example.  Seeing our President not wearing a mask out in public, but watching his pretty 3rd wife tell the public to wear a mask didn't settle well.  Recommendations but not a requirement.  This is mayhem when the ones giving recommendations do not practice them.  Mayhem.    

I became more interested in how our President conducted himself making deals before he became our President.  Now I ask if he is giving favors to dictators over blessing allies?  I understand that he admires dictators because he says they are strong.  Why would he throw our allies under a bus?  

He is saying that he was not briefed about Russia paying Taliban to kill American Soldiers in Afghanistan.  Not briefed.  I would like to hear what VP Pence says about this.  

I have wondered how so many turn a blind eye to evil.  If speaking out about evil is bashing the one doing the evil then bash away.  Squeal like a pig.

DARLIN' YOU'RE A PEACH!

Hello.  Yesterday, I got my exercise as I went to Manhattan to shop at HOBBY LOBBY wearing my beautiful cloth face mask.  I did alright for a change.  Pushed a buggy with gloves on and looked at some things all through the store.  ALMOST everyone had a mask on.   

We went to STARBUCKS!!!  It's been over 3 
m o n t h s  since I had something from a store/restaurant/cafe.  Over 3 months.  

I had a ICED PEACH GREEN TEA LEMONADE.  Hubby had his all time favorite, HOT LATTE without whip cream or flavoring.  Split a piece of banana nut bread.  Just now realized it has BOTH walnuts and pecans in it.  So very good.  Between my portion of bread (210 calories) and the tea (130 calories) I had my fix of calories.  Shocking how quickly these add up.  Kurplunk.    

Usually when I have tea it doesn't have SUGAR in it.  I made an exception to the rule.

Twas wonderful.  Drinking my tea very quickly, I should have ordered the largest size they have.  GRANDE just didn't do it.  I don't remember the last time I was so excited about getting an iced tea from anywhere....if evah.

Took Hubby to DOLLAR GENERAL and I stayed in the car.  He came out of the store saying when he does what his wife wants he gets blessed.  He hit the jackpot on the things he needed.  He'd been comparing prices and this was the best price.  Pleased.     

Didn't lolly gawk any and made quick work out of it.  Drove HOME the scenic route and rested in my comfy chair.  It is plain odd to get so weary from such a short trip.  Must be the excitement of being out and about, but having to wear a mask when in the stores.  The added stress of the unknown.

As the evening settled in, I grew tired like no motion tired.  Was a relief to be HOME and in my chair.  Home Sweet Chair.

SATURDAY SUMMER

THIS SATURDAY SUMMER OFFICIALLY BEGAN.  Today, it arrived and I am doing my best to soak it up and let it sink in that SUMMER is here.  Tomorrow is Father's Day.  I have been thinking about how to treat my Honey for the day.  I have a card.  Think we'll go for a drive.  Maybe risk a STARBUCK's COFFEE from the window.  Watch a paid for movie of his choice.  Should I give him a back rub?  I think he would like this. 

We have avoided entering into places of business and for a while I will continue to do this until I let my guard down and decide to relax a bit more.  I am going to wear my mask and gloves when in public.  I will avoid large crowds of people.  

SUMMER TIME will be spent at HOME.  I will visit tourist places via internet for now.  I can study up and make an agenda as to where to go and when.  The best time of the year to tour.  Etc.  

I want to visit the White House.  I did not get to when we visited Washington DC way back when.  We drove by it and when I saw the house, I had to ask, "Is that The White House?"  It appeared so much smaller than I thought it would look like.  My Husband did try to get tickets to tour, but we were to late in the day at the time and didn't go back.  We visited part of the Smithsonian Institute.  The Lincoln Memorial.  Walked the area by the reflection pool with the cherry blossom trees.  Saw the Vietnam Memorial.  The Washington Monument.  Spent the night at Howard Johnson's across the street from the Watergate fiasco.  I wonder if my children remember any of it.  

I'd like to return and spend more time there when the weather is cooler but not during this unrest that is happening and not during this pandemic.  Not sure when I will if ever get to return.  I would love to see more of the sights.

FOREVER FRIDAY

ONCE AGAIN THE WEEK DISAPPEARED for me. Where did it go?  Friday again and I'm alright with that.  I have plans to add some coleus to the front porch urns this week-end, collect some mint to dry out and snip some lavender.  A wonderful thing to do on the week-end.  

I want to make some mint ice-cubes placing mint sprigs in ice cube trays and add water.  I'll have to dump the finished product into a zip-lock baggie and reuse the mold.  Fun for iced tea.  

Caught up on the laundry!  If I could do a back flip, I would.  

If it's not storming, I'll be watching a Friday Night MOVIE and possibly eating popcorn.  A pleasant Friday night.

OTHER THOUGHTS.
I use to live in the TULSA area in Jenks PROPER.  Hubby worked down town in one of the historic buildings.  With the TRUMP RALLY taking place at the BOK building June 20th, I am concerned the event will get way out of hand and much destruction will take place.  

I was reading an article about 250 National Guard will be present with shields, batons and gas.  250 soldiers won't make a dent against a huge group of angry protesters.  What are they thinking?  Perhaps they want a horrible event to happen to further martial law.  

A BIG CONCERN is the number of covid cases has not gone down in Oklahoma and to say it has is a blatant lie, Mister Pence.  A lie.  Good heavens.  Tuesday, they had the largest jump in cases in one day.        

First off, I am astonished that a RALLY is going to take place in the middle of a PANDEMIC where there will be no way to social distance when sitting and standing in the building.  All seats taken.  The people attending the rally will sign a waver saying that they will not sue the TRUMP CAMPAIGN if they get covid 19.  

Pass the buck.  TRUMP CAMPAIGN is saying it is free choice to attend and nobody is making them attend.  The waver won't protect them if protesters jump them as they return to their cars.  Didn't see that one coming.  

Why would a President that cares for the well being of the citizens have a rally in the first place during a pandemic?  Neither he or VP Pence wear mask around people.  I lost track how many times the six feet distancing was not honored when holding a meeting/briefing.

With people getting exposed to the virus in a overcrowded setting they will return to their homes and away it goes.  President Trump will not have the every day person near him at the Rally.  He'll be protected.  He'll return to the White House ready for the next Rally.  

The Governor ought to be ashamed of himself for encouraging Trump to have a Rally in Tulsa at this time.  Trump should be ashamed of himself having a Rally during this pandemic.

If this rally goes haywire with protesters in the street, they may have another June 1, 1921 Tulsa Race Riot Massacre like what happened in Greenwood.  HORRIBLE destruction and loss of life.
Except the KKK was involved in this massacre with aircrafts bombing the residents with turpentine bombs.  Bombs were dropped on Greenwood in America.  Is the KKK still involved somehow in todays protests?

America may be done with covid, but covid isn't done with America.  

I know that at the May 7, 2020 White House Day of Prayer, so-called Pastor Paula White-Cain tried to make our President appear as a Biblical figure comparing him to David.  The death count was near 70,000 Americans who had died from covid 19.  So Paula conveniently found a Bible scripture mentioning the death of 70,000 people.  When using scripture where 70,000 men from David's Army died, she conveniently left out some parts where David sought the Lord.  Paula ends her portion of the Prayer time with saying, "You will recover all."  She mixed up scripture to blend into what she wanted to tell the President.  I don't think our President is a DAVID.  

Many like to use the scripture 2 Chronicles 7:14 where it reads (paraphrasing) If my people who are called by my name, humble themselves and turn from their wicked ways, that God in heaven will hear their prayers and He'll heal their land.  They fail to mention that if the leadership is wicked, the people will suffer.

On May 7th, Paula made it sound like President Trump would win over this virus.  On June 19th, we are up to 120,000 covid related deaths and climbing.  A Rally is about to take place and our President is oblivious to the virus?  As long as he gets a feed off of supporters, he's happy?  For the moment.  It doesn't last.  He'll need another fix.  And another and another.

I am beside myself.

HEAVENS....to be 64 years old and not know what the different strand lengths of pearls are called is almost a sin.

I knew CHOKER, but not PRINCESS or MATINEE.  I almost can say I knew what OPERA length was.  On this diagram I believe there is a typo on the PRINCESS length.  It is longer than the choker, but the diagram has a shorter length listed.  I thought perhaps it should be 18", not 15 inches.  There's a ROPE length as well.  ROPE.  Also COLLAR!!! 

Come to find out, the PRINCESS length is the most popular length.

The princess necklace is 17 - 19 inches in length. The most common length for pearl necklaces, it is well suited for wear with crew and high necklines. I'M GETTING EDUCATED about Etiquette 101.  I do believe I know NOTHING and am a hick and a half here on ze prairie.  Absolutely a fresh page to write on about etiquette.  Shucks...I can barely spell it.  

At any rate...this lil video was helpful to me about the different teas.  AFTERNOON TEA is to enjoy some polite conversation and manners.  In this day and age, MANNERS are more needed than evah.
