FOR SOME REASON I DID NOT PUBLISH THIS POST. I came across it today as I was lonesome for HISTORIC COWTOWN especially the Murdock House. Here she be. Will post now. One of my FAVORITE places in all of KANSAS is the Murdock House.

is one of my favorite places to visit in Kansas.

I snapped away not concerned about the photos being professional looking or not. Didn't care. I wanted to capture some period details for recall. Since it was so HOT, we limited our tour. Did a quick look around and didn't go inside all the open exhibits.
I regret that now since we had the time to doddle. Not sure when we will be there again. Wear comfortable shoes and have water to sip on while touring. Maybe a snack or two to munch on.
For now, I can review my pics in slow motion rethinking all that I saw. I really enjoy seeing the interiors of the homes.
We were too HOT to hang around for the gunfight at 3 in the afternoon. Too HOT for comfort and when I read the sign on the Saloon door that they were out of Sarsaparilla, I could have wilted. The line at the bar was overly long. Done.
The Murdock House was the destination that I wanted to see again.
