WATCHING THE KANSAS CITY CHIEFS WIN on Sunday was an activity we did over at our daughter and s.i.l's HOME. Completely watching the game on a large screen TV, I'm understanding more about the GAME as an old woman than I did in my younger days. Better late than never.
Even with them being stationed in KC, Missouri, The Kansas City Chiefs should probably be my favorite FOOTBALL TEAM of all time since KANSAS is in the title as I was born in Kansas and presently live here, but I have to say I don't have a favorite team. Gulp. Are you going to throw stones at me?
THE SUPER BOWL GAME TICKETS this year are as follows:
I go in next week to have my A1c checked. I'm going to see if they will check my TSH as well. I'll be curious how my A1c is doing since I ate the Daniel Diet for 21 days. I know that I have been too relaxed about breads and sugar since I ended the 21 days. I have a week or so until the labs so I can concentrate on veggies and fruit. I'm curious if my A1c will be in a good zone.
PLUS, a couple of months ago I stopped taking HCTZ. This med causes blood glucose to rise. I believe this med caused diabetes in me. At one time, I was taking three medicines that are known to raise sugar glucose. 3.
THIS WEEK, Hubby's medical appointment that he has waited for four months on, will take place. Four months. A third of a year. We'll make it a mini-vacay. I can still eat salads and I will allow some cheesecake. I'll go easy on the breads, etc. Water will be drank and eye candy allowed as we're planning on going to the Nelson-Atkins Art Museum. This will make the week interesting and uplifting. Getting a dose of ART contributes to getting some culture. Instead of looking at laundry and dirty floors at HOME, I will get to look at something else.
I will take a very long shower so I can shampoo my hair super well and then I'm going to soak in the tub so I can shave my old legs with ease. A luxury that I will take advantage of and that will be awesome.
