My Husband suggested we go to one of my favorite THRIFT SHOP and I agreed. See how easy it is to go along with a Husband? Grins.
Looking for Blue Willow dishes, I spied a oak table painted grey that put ideas in my head. Hum. It was in such great shape with two leaves in it, I couldn't turn it down. After we get the table set up at HOME, will show pics.
My kitchen table at HOME has sentimental value to me and I plan to never give it away, but this table at the THRIFT SHOP was really nice and in great shape. It doesn't wobble when using it. My old one does. IN BETTER SHAPE THAN MY KITCHEN OAK TABLE. Hope to find upholstered dining room chairs in the near future for sitting. That will be sooooo nice to say the least.
Husband looked the table over and pulled the leaves apart to discover that the table has appropriate gears that work well. He asked if I wanted it and I thought for about 2 seconds....yes. I'd like to have this. The old oak one will hopefully go into a studio for my Husband.

Then like clockwork I spied an overstuffed club chair. There were two of them with one already spoken for. Hubby sat in it and went ahhhhh. He hadn't told me that our temporary television chair at HOME had been bothering him. We talked and said let's get it.
HOW CAN YOU GO WRONG WITH A $45 CHAIR
IN SUCH GOOD SHAPE?
In a matter of a few minutes we were the owners of a club chair and a grey dining table. So affordable that it was a joy to buy them.
THEN I SAW THIS CUTE QUILT.
I picked up a quilt for little of nothing that smelled so fresh it made me keep sniffing. It's in superb condition. The inside of the car had this fragrance all the way home. SO refreshing. This is one clean THRIFT SHOP.
There hanging by the furniture was a sweet rug. She's going HOME with me as well. A small rug by Shaw Rugs. Appreciate the bargains that become a treasure to bless our HOME with.
BARGAINS can still be found.
We loaded the oak table in the trunk and into the back seat. Husband knows how to disassemble things which comes in so very handy. We traveled home, unloaded, took a break and returned to Topeka to pick up the comfy chair. Drove HOME again and watched PBS Victoria and Mercy Street.
Hubby fell asleep in his new chair. He was contented. So was I.
