TURNING TOWARD SIMPLIFYING CHRISTMAS WOULD MEAN DOING LESS TO ACHIEVE MORE. Focusing on the true meaning would mean just that. Focusing on the birth of Christ. PERIOD.
Simplifying. Read the Christmas story from the BIBLE, pray, sing some CHRISTMAS songs and hymns, perhaps share a simple meal with others.
Through the years, I have ran myself ragged getting things done for the CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY. Spinning my wheels. Thirsting for peace and harmony. Racing to meet a deadline before December 25th. I have a tendency of using up adrenaline to present a certain image. Not worth it. I will simplify.
I'll play Christmas music. Send a few greeting cards early in December. Maybe place a miniature tree with twinkle lights and velvet ribbons on a Living room table in front of the windows. Set out the Nativity Scene in the Living room. Hang wreaths on the front doors. Light a CHRISTMAS CANDLE for Christ. Gifts for children, grandchildren and Mom will be cash in a card. Fix a few treats. Say some prayers. Sing some songs. Attend a CHRISTMAS church service. RECEIVE THE GIFT OF SIMPLICITY.
