SATURDAY IS HERE. Bravo. Jumping up and down in my head celebrating being able to stay HOME without obligations of going anywhere. Praise GOD, I can stay HOME today and chill.
The plants I purchased this week can now be planted in leisure. The undies resting in a laundry basket can be folded and put away. Another load of dirty laundry can be washed. Whoopee. I can leisurely tidy the Dining room. Hubby is planning on working in the Iris flowerbeds. He's ready for leisurely time as well. We have been on the go too much as of late. Doctor and medical appointments, etc.
I'll continue working on getting copies made of photographs to give to my granddaughter for her High School graduation party that's in 2 weeks. After Summer time hits, I will be copying the photos I have of all my grandchildren and print them off placing them in a shoebox. I'll be somewhat caught up and there's magic in that.
It's become a bad habit of taking pictures on a digital camera with a chip and never printing the images out. Years back, we had to send our camera film off to get it developed then pay the company to receive the pictures. I had negatives running out my ears. Then came the digital cameras with chips. Twas wonderful and more affordable. 📸
TODAY, I worked off and on copying pictures of Lil Miss until I ran out of photo paper. A trip to Manhattan to get some more photo paper is needed. I am in hopes of giving our granddaughter the copies of her childhood pictures come Monday.
SHE'LL receive quite a few of her childhood pictures for her party then later I will give her the rest of the pics I have. This will take some time to accomplish. I hope she loves this gift. Looking at the pictures has taken me down MEMORY LANE. Sentimental that way. 🩷🩷🩷🩷

We had to go to TOPEKA on Friday morning to deal with our 2025 Income Tax mishap. He mailed our income tax papers and check to the government early on April 9th. We received a letter from the U.S. Post Office two days ago with our government check returned. The envelop that our income tax papers were in was chewed up at the post office and the check was found out of the envelop. The letter they sent to us said we could write and ask for the envelop.
Hubby made an appointment to visit with the government to get this thing cleared up because it looks like we are late on paying our income taxes. We had a 10:00 AM appointment arriving 30 minutes early. We were told to go to BOOTH 3. We did and no one was behind the glass window. We patiently waited until the phone on the counter rang with someone telling Hubby what he needed to do. Write an appeals letter. He hand wrote the letter and gave it to a clerk which said the check was fine and he would scan it so the amount we owed to the State of Kansas was paid. We're concerned about being penalized because of the mail's hic-up causing the check and paper work not to arrive before April 15th.
I suspect we will be penalized and have to fend for ourselves getting this straightened out. I was so pleased that our 2025 Income Tax paperwork was done early. This sort of thing makes Income Tax Time difficult. An irritation.
Anywho, we took care of this and now we wait and I believe we will be dealing with a penalty that should not have happened in about 6 months to a year. Not wonderful.
