AFTER TWO VERY FULL DAYS OF SHOPPING and driving in Topeka traffic, I'm pooped. In other words I'm extremely tired. I forget how many places we stopped on day two. I am the driver. Staying ALERT requires an effort. Managed though! I scare myself sometimes when driving. I am so thankful I know how to drive a car and can still do so. I can't imagine NOT DRIVING. Since I was 15, I have driven. 53 years. Love this.
Some probably wonder why I am still driving as I drive THE SPEED LIMIT. I might fit in better if I were a run away driver!
ANOTHER MOMENT. Hubby handed me his trac-phone and I placed it in my purse. About two minutes later, he had a reaction as he was getting out of the car. In a panic he shouted, "Where's my phone? Where's my phone?" I shouted back in a panicky voice, "I don't have it!" For a split second, I forgot he had given it to me and I placed it in my purse. Then in the same panicky tone of voice it registered that I had it and without skipping a beat I said, "You gave it to me and I placed it in my purse!!!!!!!"
When we realized what we had done, we burst out loud with laughter. This getting older is heck at times. Know what I mean?
Our lovely auto needs a thorough cleaning in the inside and in the trunk. Will need to work this in with the cooler temps outside. If I can find some quarters for the car wash's vacuum, I'll go do that today.
When ever Hubby runs in to a store and I stay in the car, I clean the dashboard and cup holders. Might as well make myself useful while waiting for him. These days, I try to have a trash bag handy before we leave so when we go somewhere the trash is taken care of as we go.
On day two of shopping which was suppose to be the continuation of our shopping trip on day one, I believe we were incredibly busy.
📨Post Office stop to see if car tag was in the mail. It was. Hubby put it on the car.
⛽Fueled the car.
🚗Drove to Topeka admiring the sloping green hills. Beautiful sight to see.
🚿Did a drop off of bathroom window to have new glass installed in the frame. RAIN $148.54. Not surprised of the price. Prices are no longer what they were in the 1980s.

🛍Visited a discount store I did not know was there. RJ's. Found a very nice brightroom brushed nickel finish steel dish drainer for $5.99. TARGET sells these for $12. Saved a penny shy of $6 on this one. It fits our sink. Needed one and now I have one.

AS FOR the DANIEL DIET...I am off of it. After the 4th of July I will return to a more restricted food program as I am only one week away from blood work being done for physical. It is what it is. gulp.
I will be glad when this yearly physical is over. I will have to have a yearly medicare exam and asked lots of questions. Of course there will be a weigh-in.
Appointments continue. I am a bit miffed about having so many of them. Next week we have three that I know of. 3. Looking for a day when we have none because we are healthier.

Somewhere in here, I will eat a very large salad for a daily meal. Take a morning walk. I think I will continue to have Breakfast of oatmeal, nuts and fruit then have a two o'clock Lunch which will be a huge salad. If I do eat Supper, it will be a light meal of a small piece of meat and grilled veggies OR a smoothie. Sounds so easy, but to me it is a challenge.
The month of July is on her way. Blink and she'll be gone. Back to making the COTTAGE our HOME.
Have a pleasant LIFE.
Stay calm and make a HOME,
