A NEW DRESS and NO OARS IN THE WATER

I KNOW THAT CRACKER BARREL GETS REALLY NICE LOOKING DRESSES EACH SEASON.  Thinking it is SPRING TIME, the SPRING dresses shall be out.  I guess I'm running behind on the season because the SPRING DRESSES were 65% off already.  That's a plus for my BUDGET.

I picked up a very nice dress for $20.oo.  I looked at it on the rack and thought for that price, I had best get it.  I can't hardly buy material for this price.  HOPE IT FITS!  When I held it up to my frame, the length was nearly to the floor which I liked.

Going HoME today with a NEW DRESS for EASTER.

I had FASTING labs this morning for TSH, T4, T3, reverse T3, Vitamin D and Vitamin B12. Waiting for the results.  QUEST DIAGNOSTICS has a very good record of providing the results super fast.  I'm thinking by tomorrow I will have the results in my health portal.  I need to know if my levels are optimal or not considering the way I have been feeling.

Being out for the day, my hip is hurting some.  I'm hoping arthritis does not become a THING for me to have to deal with.

TEMPERATURES today were like SUMMER in the high 80s.  It's not even April yet and our temps are wonky high.  DO you ever wonder if SOMEONE is toying with the temperatures?  Am I becoming more of a conspiracy theorist???  Probably.  Can I get away with it at 70?  Not sure.  It isn't difficult to make someone sound like they don't have all their oars in the water.

I had never heard of G W E N  T O W E R S before until last night when I watched a Jesse Ventura reel where he mentions these towers.  At first, I questioned such a thing until I typed in G W E N   T O W E R S  in Kansas.  Guess what?  There are 2 and one of these isn't very far from where I live.  After having had two types of cancers and my Husband had 3, I would be a fool to not question why.

Is it the quality of food, is it radiation, is it electro magnetic fields, radio frequencies causing cancers?  Are electrical pulses doing a number on people's health?  What's in the sprays from aircrafts that is being called contrails when it is actually chem-trails?  The polyester fibers in our clothing, bedding?  Grooming supplies?  Vaccines?  Are drugs, smog, graphene in injections, sound waves causing health issues?  Maybe it's the toilet paper.  What is causing so many cells in the human body to go haywire?

I have a closer picture of what it is, but if I tell you, I'll be a conspiracy theorist and I'm not sure I want that or maybe it just doesn't matter.  New dresses MATTER in a complex world.  It's been a while since I had one.  When I think of all the chaos going on in this world, a new dress seems rather shallow, doesn't it?  I'm diving deep.

WHAT TO DO WHEN DOWN AND OUT

SUNDAY WAS A SAD DAY FOR ME.  Not being able to get my chores done has a sad effect on me after being run down for 6 weeks or so.  My bum hip has improved, but it is still not quite right.  Still waiting for appointment with orthopedic surgeon to hear what they have to say about the MRI I had done.

I don't plan on surgery, but want to hear their interpretation of MRI.  I'll give the office until Wednesday, then I'll contact them if I haven't been contacted.

Today, I'll be going to get labs done.  TSH, T4, T3, reverse T3, Vitamin D and Vitamin B12.  I have to know where these levels are.  I am very run down and struggle for energy.  If it's all in my head verses elsewhere, then I have to be willing to bow my knee to reality and forge ahead in a way that is productive.  I know not being able to get what needs done done is bugging me to the place I wonder if I'll bounce back to being upbeat.

I have been really tired and find myself reclined in the chair.  Next thing I know, I'm asleep.  I found myself getting depressed that I am in the shape I am.  I managed a slow walk around the track where I only walked one lap.  Better than none.  The fatigue is debilitating.

This move to the fixer-upper COTTAGE isn't going so well in the health department.  Talking myself into being a cheerleader has about ran its course.  That saying it's never too late doesn't apply to everything.  Another adjustment is needed.  I think a reality check needs to be taken.  I know that sometimes it is too late and accepting the reality of LIFE is necessary.  We're to count the cost before undertaking things.

When into the middle of things, it may be necessary to change course and go a different direction.  My dreamer is down.

So what is one to do when down and out?  Pray.  Rest.  Be good to yourself.  Do your best to keep stress down.  Seek medical help.  Say you're sorry?  Sorry.

'NO CANDY TODAY'

IN THAT MOMENT OF TIME between sleep and waking up, I couldn't remember what day it was.  Recalling what day it is seems to be happening more frequent for me.  It doesn't take long to remember when I check the date on the computer and compare it to my miniature calendar.

Sleeping Hygiene is a new term for me.  Oh well.

What shall I do today?  Banking business where I activate my money card.  A load of laundry in the machine.  Gather some small boxes of books to start a stack.  Look through my stash of bluejeans to see if I have a pair that will fit me NOW.  Continue on the paperwork that is by my TV recliner.  Take a short walk around the block before noon to get some sunshine and stretch my legs in a good gentle way.  Locate the SPRING DOOR WREATHS and some plastic Easter eggs in the cellar to bring upstairs.  Work on Easter Baskets.  Purchase some Easter cards. Simple things needing done.

NO CANDY TODAY!  I ate Milk Duds last night until the cows came HoME.  Umm, had quite a few chewy ones that didn't melt in my mouth, but lingered.  My bad.  Today, I will deliberately make the effort to nOt have any candy at all.  I seem to go in spurts where I do pretty well avoiding the sugar and then nOt.  Pushing the veggies and some fruit seems to be easier for me these days, but then I still eat too much sugar.  shucks.

It's going to be a gorgeous day so I must get out in it and soak in the sunshine.  Perhaps I'll drive over to get Hubby's meds, go the extra mile and return a Walmart purchase and stop in at the GOODWILL to see if they have a pair of bluejeans that will fit me for $5 to $6 instead of spending over $30 for Walmart jeans that do not fit right.  The last pair I purchased was cut to where the back swooped too low on the backside.  I could get these to zip, but then why pay so much for something that doesn't really fit?

I have never sewed myself a pair of bluejeans with a zipper.  Never.  I'm not sure I could do this. I did sew a pair with a drawstring when I was a young momma with two kids.  This comes to mind. I think I will do some sewing this SPRING and stop making excuses as to why I'm not sewing at all.  The treadle sewing machine will be moved back into the Dining room to where I can actually use it.  Where it is at in the Utility room, I cannot sew on it.  I'll need some help getting it out of there and placed in the Dining room.  The machine is very HEAVY.  I'm not sure I can muscle it.

THE OTHER DAY, I was craving all beef HOT DOGS.  While out shopping, we went ahead and got some.  It's been a while since we had dawgs.  Tasted really good and we weren't at a ballgame either.

I had 2!  One with ketch-up with pickle relish and one with mustard with pickle relish.  Warmed, they were delicious.  My bad.  A small amount of potato chips to the side.  Wait a few days then go round two with the left-over dawgs that remain in the fridge.

Sipping on HOT Vanilla Comoro TEA.  I've been starting my mornings out this way as I figure out my plans for the day doing some paperwork and blogging some.  Maybe I should do some morning exercises before eating.  I'm not always hungry in the mornings.

Mornings generally start out by taking meds with spring water on an empty stomach waiting an hour before food or drink.  Put a load of laundry in.  Put away the dishes in the drying rack. Figure out the day plans.  Sip TEA, Groom and get dressed.

Being the week-end, I'll be babysitting my Grandpup.  Last time we puppy sat for her, she perked up.  She'd been depressed as our Granddaughter disappeared to college and Doty didn't understand where she was.  It was heart warming to see her perk up.  She's getting old, but there are times she acts like a puppy.  I think she's about 13 years old now.  13x7= 91 years old in doggy years.  That's strikes a cord in me.

SPRING CLEANING AND DECLUTTERING

MY BUM HIP IS SO MUCH BETTER THAT I PERKED UP.  Oh my goodness, it was a horrible thing to go through.  Still babying it some.  My MRI indicated some arthritis, but nothing indicating needed surgery.  My doctor believes in order to move forward that I can get a consult from a different facility or get a cortisone injection.

I WILL NOT BE DOING A INJECTION.  I will not.  I'll go to the consultation and hear what they have to say and go from there.  My daughter is bringing me her infrared blanket that she offered me to try.  I'm willing.  If my HIP and GROIN continue to improve I will be ever so appreciative to GOD that this injury healed.  Praise the LORD.

With a busy day yesterday, I am pacing myself today.  I moved a ceramic plant container that's called a fish bowl and a wooden stand into the Dining room for now.  Sweeping up dried leaves off the carpet and running the vacuum will take place soon.  I think I am feeling more energetic today.  Glad.

I talked myself into donating some items.  The sooner the better.  LIFE passes us by and I don't want to be stuck in a rut not being able to get this decluttering job finished.  It's a huge task before us and I know I cannot get it all done in a day.  This is a process.

My mental health means more to me than a few dollars that I might get from selling the items I'm getting rid of.  The clutter needs to be removed from the house.  Having order return to our HoME would mean more peace.

Hubby carried the heavy box I had full of stuff and bedding to the car.  A couple of nice lamps went as well.  I have been stuck not able to move on with this decluttering bit.  It seems like it will never end at times.  I purchased a long storage box to store the high dollar greenery garlands I had hanging over the Living room windows.  They have been there for two Christmases as I left them hanging up.  They will find their way to the cellar later.

Finally felt like they could go into storage.  The curtains look new again.  I'll need to disassemble the curtains in a couple of weeks to launder them and freshen the room up some more.  When the curtains are down, I can clean the windows.  SPRING CLEANING in gear.

Decorating ideas flood my mind.  The colors I will use come to mind.    It's taking some time to figure this one out, but I'm getting there.

THIS SPRING, I hope to get the house and garage uncluttered.  I already know it will take time and effort to achieve this doable task.  Getty-up and get this done.  I seem to wear out before I start.  This isn't the way to be.  So don't be this way.  Amen.

Will this help?

Baby LOVE.

Can't wait,

BUSY DAY PLANNED

LOOKING OUT THE KITCHEN WINDOW TOWARD THE LILAC BUSH, I could see new green growth on the brown dormant branches of the bush.  A bird feeder is outside the window.  There's a flowerbed of white Irises below the window which we are thinking about moving the Irises somewhere else in the yard.  We may prepare a small garden for tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, etc. in this patch of ground.  The bird feeder will need to be moved elsewhere so the bird droppings don't fall onto the garden.

The day was busy as I did some paperwork and we headed out to the pharmacy for some meds.  Out of pocket expenses are causing a ding.  The Armour Thyroid we take isn't covered by insurance.

The car needed a wash so off we went.  Then over to St. Marys for A SUGAR CREEK LUNCH and to pick up some groceries.  A drive over to Manhattan's Walmart was in order.  More shopping.  A grocery store stop for soy-free eggs, etc.  Time for HoME.

I was ready to rest and have cereal for supper.

                         FOOD FOR THOUGHT:

I'll be doing this drink.

Healthy meal for me.
Avocado toast with cottage cheese, shredded boiled egg and cheese, seasoning.

LABS for hypothyroid issues.

Thinking about the rest of the week.  Wednesday, here we come.

I checked in my health portal about my MRI results.  My primary doc shared I have a moderate case of arthritis in my right hip and no surgery needed.  Nothing said about the groin.  I can have a consult with a different doc about what they think can be done or get a cortisone shot.  In my opinion, I'm not getting a cortisone shot.  Period.

I'll do something first by resting, heating and applying a infrared blanket.  Slow stretches and see how this goes THEN I might go to a chiropractor for an adjustment.

I have improved incredibly since I started this painful journey.  Prayer and time have done wonders.

TOMORROW, I have a budget meeting I need to attend.  Continued cleaning in the house.  Resting the hip and groin.

Overall, I had a pleasant day.  There was a great deal of smoke in the air due to the Prairie dwellers doing their yearly controlled burning across their grounds.  The smoke causes asthma issues for many.  I forget about this event every year until the burning begins and then I remember.  The really nice days of early SPRING are messed with by the burning.

MRI RIDE WITH FRANKENSTEIN AND ALIENS

HMMMMMM.  What am I to think?
I'm feeling better.  My HIP and GROIN AREA have greatly improved.  The discomfort is nearly gone.  Thankful, but still have a hitch in my giddy-up.   Did I have a VIRUS?  Will it be out of my system in 6 weeks?  Did the Fluorometholone do a number on my hip to where I could not walk?  Did I injure myself getting in and out of our new car by stretching my leg too high for an old woman?  Did I injure myself stretching my legs too far?  Is walking a safe exercise for me?  I will listen to what the doctor says the MRI image tells about my 70 year old hip in a few days.

I had the MRI yesterday morning.  Jokingly, the time spent in the machine with me wearing head phones listening to instrumental Star Wars verses Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds MUSIC was referred to as SPA TIME.  The music was programmed to help cover-up the loud noises the MRI machine makes while running.  I noticed that the musical notes were in sync with the noises the machine makes and the musical notes were at the same pitch as well.  By designed.  I suppose to keep the patient relaxed so they will not come unhinged during the process, these well thought out techniques exist.

As I was drawn into the open MRI tunnel, I laid flat on my back on the MRI ride with a pillow under my head and one under my slightly bent knees.  The lovely technician tied my turned inward feet at the toes so it was more comfortable to hold the feet in a pigeon toed position.

When I lie flat on my back, my lower back bows some which adds to some discomfort.  I was fine and listened to the instrumental music with a bang.  I was relieved when the procedure was finished and I went to the dressing room to reassemble my attire for the day.  Bra on.

Before entering the futuristic tube, all metal has to be removed from your person.  No earrings, no metal zippers, no rings, etc.  My hair clip had a metal spring in it that I had not accounted for, but removed while getting ready for my spa time.

About 45 minutes later, I was finished.  While I participated with the ordeal, I prayed.

The rest of THE FIRST DAY OF SPRING, was pleasantly spent eating Mexican food, driving the car about Manhattan, going to the KSU GARDENS, going to HUBBY's medical appointment to have some stitches removed from his leg, visit Menards, sipping a Sonic Cherry Limeade.  The long drive HoME was over before I knew it and I took a 2 hour nap before supper and watching War Machine a 2026 science fiction action film.

I was alright with the majority of the film and then I wore out on the action packed, over the top, fiction on steroids.  I was ready for sleep.

In reel time, ALIENS are easily created to entertain the masses for money or do a mind bend. Preparations in the making.  I suppose more movies will be made suggesting that aliens will invade our world.  It's nothing new with the film industry, but the special effects are more convincing than ever before.  Remember THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL, WAR OF THE WORLDS, E.T. ?

In REAL time, I've heard of PROJECT Blue Beam where the government will stage an alien invasion and then the second coming of Christ will take place to further the NEW WORLD ORDER by the elitist.

There will be a real second coming of Christ, but it will not be a fake event.  It'll be the real deal.

Is someone playing with our minds, our souls and spirits giving a false narrative?  Yes.

In REAL Time, there have been other OPERATIONS, PROJECTS and PROGRAMS to manipulate mankind not for good.  Such as PROJECT MK-ULTRA, OPERATION PAPERCLIP, OPERATION SUNRISE, PROJECT DRAGON LADY.  The list goes on.

MK-Ultra was a secret CIA program from 1953 to 1973 aimed at developing mind-control techniques using drugs, hypnosis, and other psychological methods.

Overview

Under code names that included MK-ULTRA, BLUEBIRD and ARTICHOKE, the CIA conducted terrifying experiments using drugs, hypnosis, isolation, sensory deprivation, and other extreme techniques on human subjects, often U.S. citizens, who frequently had no idea what was being done to them or that they were part of a CIA test.

👽👽👽👽👽👽👽👽👽👽👽👽👽

I sometimes think I'm living in a Frankenstein WORLD.  After studying up on chemical additives in our food amongst other things like fake food, hybridized wheat, CHEM-TRAILS, polyester fabrics not having healing frequencies, parts of HUMAN embryos used to develop vaccines, AI tricking peeps into believing that so and so did such 'n such when they really didn't but it sure looked like they did.  LAB MEATS TO EAT.  3-D objects being made out of thin air.  Cloning lambs.  Drones dropping b o m b s.

Hummm.  If we had lived in Biblical times, depending on which chapter we were in, we'd have seen first hand a different world, but a similar spirit.  As in the days of Noah...

The week-end is here.  I continue to rest my body and desire to get back to my walking.  Praying I heal and can do just this.  Paperwork awaits me.

CELEBRATE EACH ACCOMPLISHED CHORE AND DRINK YO' WATER

MRI COMING THIS WEEK.  Limping into the exam room, it pained me to walk and sit on the exam table about my health situation.  Welp, an x-ray was in order.  The intense pain when walking, sitting or in movement now is seriously in the groin area.  The doctor believes something is getting pinched which causes the pain when groin/hip is in motion.

This morning the Hospital telephoned to make an appointment for an MRI.  I was relieved that I can get one as a MRI will hopefully show in more detail just what's happening in the hip.  This week, I'll continue to ice my hip/groin area and take Ibuprofen for combating the inflammation.

What I can do while waiting for the MRI and on the mend:  I can work on paperwork throughout the week instead of doing physical labor.  The house will not be as clean as I'd like, but hey that's life.  This is a hiccup that I'll have to deal with.

Keeping things in perspective matters.  The sun will come up tomorrow and all will be well.

My brother called me for a short visit.  He shared that Mom fell.  He didn't have all the details so I needed to investigate by contacting my sister who lives near her and ask some questions.  I took a chance and phoned my mom not knowing if she was still at the Hospital.  I figured if she answered her phone she'd be HoME.  If not, she'd be at a Hospital.

She was HoME and we visited about the details of her day.  Earlier in the day, an ambulance took her to the Hospital where the medical staff believed she was dehydrated.  She had been passing out at HoME.  She has not followed through on drinking enough water through the years and has her reasons for doing so.  Frustration enters the picture for me knowing she will become dehydrated again in the near future.

After receiving IVs at the Hospital she was released to return HoME.  My sister spent the night with Mom.  I visited on the phone with my sister for 3 and a half hours after my Mom went to bed.  You can imagine all the territory we covered in that amount of time.

Today, I am having a slow paced day and resting my hip.  Thankfully, I'm not in pain when in the recliner.  This helps.  When walking to the bathroom and doing my business, I take some time to do a small task on the way to returning to the recliner.  It's about all I can do, but I am in motion. Celebrate every small task done no matter how small and don't torment yourself over what doesn't get done.  Rest your mind and body.  Tadaah.  One can do just that.

You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot force the horse to drink.  Mom isn't a horse, but the spirit of free-will is there for her to decide when to drink or not.  Mom does not get enough fluid in her tiny body.  How many trips to the emergency room will it take before she operates with all cylinders that she must consume more healthy fluids?  PASSING OUT can have consequences when hitting the ground.  This time she wasn't injured, no bruises, cuts or broken bones.  No concussion.

With the not drinking enough water where a multitude of medical doctors and her children say something about not drinking enough fluid, is she desiring the attention she's receiving or is she exercising stubbornness?  Is she having her say?  You're not going to tell me what to do?  It's possible.

Even at 93, she has a right to her opinion.  Don't we all?  It doesn't always fare well when we get our way.  You might pass out, be hauled to the Hospital in an ambulance and find yourself at the ER of the local community facility being told by the medical staff to drink mo' water.

You may not feel like drinking healthy fluids.  Do it anyways.

Don't have a love affair with cleaning dirty toilets.  Just do it and be done with it.  Amen.  Same with drinking healthy beverages.  Amen.

LAST WINTER HURRAH BEFORE SPRING and SOME IDEAS

THE WIND HAS QUIETED DOWN this morning and we have sunshine.  Sunday was a doozy with high winds and a sprinkling of snow across the prairie.  I stayed indoors all day and listened to the howling winds.  I should have stuck my head outdoors to allow the freezing gust of wind to pour across my face.  This would have been invigorating to say the least.  In the teens overnight with a 9 A.M. reading this morning of 14 degrees.  SUMMER returns on Wednesday.  In the meantime, I can try to do inside chores if I'm not in too much pain.

It seems like Mother Nature is doing a last hurrah before Spring is officially here with Friday marking the first day of Spring on the calendar.  January, February and March seem to drag on for me as I dread the wintery chills.  We have had a taste of Spring every once in a while as it will be a gorgeous Spring-like day and then wham a cold front comes into the picture.

I'll need to bundle up today when getting out to go to the doctor's about the pain in my right hip. I've got my info written out so I don't freeze up when seeing my doc.  I'm still in serious pain when walking and sitting.  Today, I will get some fresh air as I travel to Manhattan to the Bank and Doctor's appointment.

I haven't walked my daily miles in about 3 weeks due to discomfort in hip.  My appetite has been too good.  Not standing on the scales as I know my weight has climbed.  Disappointed.  I looked at myself in the mirror and in some pictures astonished that I am still so heavy.  My face is huge. Hate this.

I phoned for a medical appointment leaving a recording on the line.  Until I hear back from them, I'll be grooming myself as I will need to shave my legs and bathe.  Gather up some clean clothes and be ready when they are.  Hair is ready.  I shampooed my hair yesterday with a different shampoo and liked the results.  Swirling my hair in an updo, I can proceed.

Over the last few days, my legs have been reclined a great deal and little walking has taken place. Too much discomfort when up walking.  Stiff legging it helps some, but when I sit, I'm moving in slow motion.  Tis terrible.  The chores are running behind.  I've gotten little done.  This is frustrating to me.  So frustrating.

PLANS:  Photographing the bedding I need to get rid of.  I arranged the bedding just so-so on the sofa.  We no longer have a queen size mattress to pose some pics.  I tried to find a photo of when we did with the bedding and have had no luck.  I'll have to use the packaging photo and the Clover Cliff Bed&Breakfast ones from when we stayed there in the Lincoln Honeymoon Suite.

This is where I first saw the bedding and fell in love with it so for our 45th wedding anniversary stay, we ordered some.  The bedding is still in excellent shape being 6 and a half years old.  I'm doing my best to keep moving on and not hold back on redecorating including the bed we have set up which is a full size bed that belonged to my Husband's Grandparents.  For now we have one bed sat up and the other bedroom is being used as our TV room where we have recliners.

With nicer weather coming, I hope to start painting the ceilings in the 4 main rooms then slowly I will paint the Living room, Dining room and Bedroom.  The TV room's ceiling will have to be taken down as it has tiles for a ceiling and I'm not ready to tear into this project just yet.  I will stand on the floor using a rolling pin on a rod and then climb up on a ladder to carefully paint the edge of the ceiling that butts up against the walls.  That's if my body will let me.

Forging ahead as the week is off to a great start.  Medical appointment will determine what I find out about my hip.  Praying for healing.

I'll be my Husband's sidekick with ongoing projects if possible.

The Bathroom floor will be scrubbed and sanitized.  Continued laundry.  Going through STUFF to organize.  I'm a broken record.

IDEAS:

A bit of an optical illusion.

May you have a sweet day,

DECORATING

I knew a very frugal Lady named Edith that shared with me a excellent guideline for decorating. She said with ease, "If your room has clean ceilings, floors, and walls, and the windows have nice curtains, you'll have an attractive room."

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS
SELECTING THE CORRECT SIZE CHANDY TO USE IN A ROOM MADE EASY. FORMULA MEASUREMENTS: Measure the room's height and width. Add together the numbers. Example: 8' x 10' room is 8 plus 10= 18" Use a 18" wide chandy. OR Take width of room calculating 2" for every foot. Example: 15' wide room. Take 15 times 2 = 30. Room needs 30" wide chandy. Standard distance between the bottom of the chandelier to the top of the table is 30 inches. When hanging the chandelier, make sure to hang it at the proper height. The bottom of a chandelier over a dining table or kitchen island should hang 30 to 32 inches above the top of the table or island. Most rooms call for at least 7 feet of space between the bottom of the chandelier and the floor.

WISHES

NO MATTER HOW BADLY YOU WISH with all your might that the something devastating that happened in your life hadn't happened and want so badly to go back in time to prevent it from happening...it isn't humanly possible to do this. You can't change the fact that it happened. IT DID. But JESUS can change the MEANING of what happened to you and give you PEACE. He can show you the way in which you are to go. God richly BLESS you. ~Deanna
