Day Sixteen
Perfect conditions for entertaining sitting in front of the television and entering into a different time. Did watch the 1993 movie GERONIMO: An American Legend.
VICTORIA will be all together a different culture
from across the pond.
We did get some chilly rain, cold temps, but no thick ice. In southwest Kansas where I grew up the trees are iced over with huge branches breaking off. Destroying their beauty with many trees falling completely over. Power shortages are taking place. Brrrrr. A fireplace or generator are needed. It's a reality needing a backup system to fight the cold inside ones home.
Will continue washing clothes in the new washing machine then using her sidekick the dryer. Drying on the delicate setting sometimes leaves articles slightly damp. If I place these items on a hanger and allow them to air dry in the bathroom on a towel rack that hangs right above a heater vent then they finish drying right nice. Helps clothing not shrink.
I had a tricky dryer before that overheated when not set to...this new dryer is being tried out as I go. Getting acquainted with new appliances takes some time.
Bumped my sore toes AGAIN and wished I hadn't. Today I continue to sit. Better work on paperwork when I can. Have plenty to do.
We're one day closer to SPRING. I will miss my big yard filled with flowers. I learned that I loved Irises at the Rock Palace. Tulips along with crocus were the first to show off their blooms. When the green shoots go through the top soil, it's just a matter of days before they bloom. This year, Lord willing, I will stare at the blooms and admire their beauty. The Irises are not far behind. Generally they are in bloom for six weeks or so. Five years ago our SPRING was six weeks early. The blooms were magnificent and larger than normally.
Between Irises and Lilacs I have SPRING pleasure. Last year our lilacs did not flourish. This was a disappointment. It was odd that they did not bloom well. Blaming the chem trails. Could it be?
Cold weather promises me time indoors to where I surf. I found this delightful KANSAS RANCH...dreaming I'm a cowgirl at the ranch. A cowgirl in a dress. I think it would be better if I stayed in the big house being a certified LADY. Is there such a thing as a COWlady. Moo. I know I've been called a heifer a time or two.
