HELLO BLUR

SOMETIMES LIFE SEEMS LIKE A BLUR.
HUBBY retired from the work force on a FRIDAY.
All three kids were under the same roof for a very short time on SATURDAY.
LUNCH with some friends on MONDAY.
FLU and cold broke up our Family visit on MONDAY.
Christmas Eve came which is my husband's 65th birthday on TUESDAY and we skipped the CAKE and went for a steak.
Christmas Day was very quiet at our house with a nice meal on WEDNESDAY.
The day after Christmas meant a quick trip to TOPEKA to scout out some sales on THURSDAY.
HOME TO REST on FRIDAY.
RESTING UP for New Year's Eve the rest of the time.

Thinking on the things I'd like to do for 2020.
Are you?
d

PS
exercise more.
vitamins for sure.
research and stretch.
do something with this hair of mine.
write.
sew.
organize.
dream.
read.
smile.

JUST YOU AND ME, KID.....

COMING UP FOR AIR!

LAST WEEK my eyes were watering and it was then that I should have cranked up the Vitamin C.....but didn't.  I was SLOW to catch on that a gigantic cough was brewing in my future.  A hacking cough that would clean my plow as others like to say.

My plow is cleaned.  Next.

OUR CHRISTMAS PLANS changed overnight as our company came down with the flu and went home.  I started coughing shortly after that and COUGH I DID.

It's Saturday and I'm better, but still coughing.  Wearing me down.  DOWN.  Down.  Down.

Sugar-free Cough Drops by the dozens.
Naps and hot drinks.
Emergen-C twice a day.
Theraflu.
DayQuil.
Now an extra strength cough syrup with codeine.
Chicken Noodle Soup!  Homemade and organic.  Hubby made it.  Was the BEST!

Hubby went to OUR HOMETOWN PHARMACY signing for the extra strength cough syrup.  VERTUSSIN AC.  No prescription needed from a doctor.  Wish I had had it four days ago.  This has been a whopper of a cough.  Crouppy.

Hanging on for dear life trying to keep this thing from going into my chest.  Asthma aggravated and whirring growl.  I was successful and kept it out of my chest.  How on earth can a common cold nearly destroy a person?  It can and does sometimes. Staying strong goes out the window.  Prayers being sent up.

My dear Husband has been my doctor, nurse, cook and pamperer.  He has been a savior of sorts as I have been in need of assistance.  He has been wonderful to me.

Coming up for air.  Breathing is a good thing.  The AIR QUALITY OUTSIDE is rated good today as it is raining.  I can breathe it in.  I can breathe as my nose isn't stuffy as of yet.  I'll keep taking the vitamin c and pray.

I think my immune system is habitually weaker than it ought to be.  On week three of strong dose of Vitamin D.  2020 I prayerfully am going to work toward getting healthier through foods being a medicine.  No GMOs.  Organic foods especially fruits and vegetables.  Vitamins and minerals a plus.

I'm not sure how all feel about First Lady MELANIA TRUMP.  GOOD, BAD OR INDIFFERENT, but she does eat 7 servings of fruit a day.  It's easy enough to know what her secrets are as they are all over the net.

It doesn't take a millionaire to eat fruits and veggies.  Just do it.  Especially in the United States.

A more thorough study on vitamins and minerals are in my future.  Including herbs and healthier eating.  For sure.

BLESSINGS TO YOU
and I hope you are staying well,

I'll Be Home For Christmas!

HELLO TUESDAY.

Last Friday, HUBBY retired from his 20 plus career from the same company.  He was given a retirement party.  Somewhat emotional as we walked away for the day.  He had loaded his office belongings and desk.  The week-end was slow paced and quiet.

Christmas Eve and Hubby's 65th Birthday!!!  Today I need to go to ALDIs and get the best price for items to make FUDGE, Chocolate covered Pretzels and Peppermint Patties.  More than likely this will be all the sweets I will make this CHRISTMAS SEASON.

Christmas cards are in the mail.  Christmas gifts taken care of.  Christmas music will be playing.  We'll be singing.  I believe we'll stay HOME from Candle Light Services.  Instead the Christmas Story will be read at HOME and we'll have a very quiet CHRISTMAS.

Met with a couple of friends for Monday's Lunch and exchanging Christmas gifts.  Pleasant conversations as if we hadn't been away from one another as long as we had.  Great GAL Friendships.

Baking a turkey on Christmas Day with the fixins.  We'll be slowing down and breathing in the sacred moments.

Think we will be staying HOME for CHRISTMAS.  READY.  Actually ready.

FLU BUG has touched our company so I'm not sure we'll be having company.  God bless them and God Bless you all.  I'm taking extra Vitamin C as I am coughing a bit too much.  Chest hurts.  Oops.  STAY WELL if you can.

I'll be HOME for CHRISTMAS....I am alright with this.

I LOVE SANTA CLAUS, I LOVE CHRISTMAS...and I still know the reason for the season!

JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON.
Jesus.
Merry Christmas!

Each of these pictures stirs emotions in me.
That saying that a picture is worth a thousand words comes to mind.

Merry Christmas and a very blessed day.
Slow down long enough to have peace,

DECORATING

I knew a very frugal Lady named Edith that shared with me a excellent guideline for decorating. She said with ease, "If your room has clean ceilings, floors, and walls, and the windows have nice curtains, you'll have an attractive room."

John 3:7

“Marvel not that I said unto thee,

Ye must be born again.”

King James Version (KJV)

PSALM 118:17

I shall not die,
but live, and declare
the works of the Lord.

PROVERBS 24:3-4

By wisdom
a house is built,
and through understanding

it is established;
through
knowledge

its rooms are filled with rare

and beautiful treasures.

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS
SELECTING THE CORRECT SIZE CHANDY TO USE IN A ROOM MADE EASY. FORMULA MEASUREMENTS: Measure the room's height and width. Add together the numbers. Example: 8' x 10' room is 8 plus 10= 18" Use a 18" wide chandy. OR Take width of room calculating 2" for every foot. Example: 15' wide room. Take 15 times 2 = 30. Room needs 30" wide chandy. Standard distance between the bottom of the chandelier to the top of the table is 30 inches. When hanging the chandelier, make sure to hang it at the proper height. The bottom of a chandelier over a dining table or kitchen island should hang 30 to 32 inches above the top of the table or island. Most rooms call for at least 7 feet of space between the bottom of the chandelier and the floor.

WISHES

NO MATTER HOW BADLY YOU WISH with all your might that the something devastating that happened in your life hadn't happened and want so badly to go back in time to prevent it from happening...it isn't humanly possible to do this. You can't change the fact that it happened. IT DID. But JESUS can change the MEANING of what happened to you and give you PEACE. He can show you the way in which you are to go. God richly BLESS you. ~Deanna
