Life here on the Prairie is real.
I seem to be morphing right along getting settled into our present HOME.
AFTER staring at the countertop in my KITCHEN where my cook books rest, change is happening. They're taking up too much counter space and I don't like that. Figured out where to put a bookshelf for my Cookbooks in the stair area leading to the basement.
Hubby gathered up a stash of wood and thinks he can build a book shelf above the basement stairs. I need the shelves really bad!
He completed a shelf above the KITCHEN sink for my teapots!!! Looks great and functional. Mission accomplished.
Today, my cook books are moving to the church pew. Slowly they are migrating. Can't help myself....I have to look inside the books to see what recipes are still in there. Grouping these together such as all my BETTER HOMES and GARDENS cookbooks together, BETTY CROCKER together, GOOD HOUSEKEEPING together and then individual books line the pew.Life is just too short to spend too much time on anyone project around here. Have to have a goal and go after it. At 63, I am aware that time is running out. Downsizing is taking place as I cherish certain items more than others. It has gotten easier for me to turn loose of much. Quietly I continue to turn loose. A little here and a little there.
These goals seem to change with age, location and situations. So it's just ongoing with change. To every season.....turn turn turn.

3 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

14 I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.
15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.
16 And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.
17 I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work.

21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?
22 Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?
