Shuffle and Scoot

BUSY BUSY BUSY
Nice to be able to say that with some energy available.  Once in awhile I have a surge of energy and I actually get more done than usual.  It's rare to have these moments as I struggle with thyroid issues that keep me really tired.

I had the 'get up to go' for rearranging the Master Bedroom all by myself.  I had to rest in between shuffles, but got 'er done!!!  I will have to get use to the new arrangement.  THINK I can.  The Library cabinet came out of the closet.  SHUFFLE SHUFFLE SHUFFLE SCOOT and shuffle some more.  I took an afternoon NAP in here somewhere.  The tireds came over me hard and furiously.  SOooo I stretched out on the bed and took some zzzzzzzs.  Was uplifting.

Drove over to pick Hubby up from work, stopped off and got a SPARROW cold latte with lavender.  Delicious.  To the grocery store to get some organic milk.  Drove over to the COTTAGE to check the water.  Almost HOMEMADE PIZZA for supper.  Washed and dried the pillow case covers.  Shuffled some cottage bedroom furniture and vacuumed.  HUBBY HELPED.  Drove HOME and worked on FIRE RECOVERY pictures late into the night.

Didn't sleep well.  Shucks.  Today will be another opportunity to work hard on things.  Beans on the stove cooking for Supper.  Will close eyes here in a little bit and get refreshed then cornbread to make and potatoes to fry.  Hope I can do it.

More fire recovery info to work on.  Will be so glad when finished.

Some of the things I have changed this year to work on being healthier and better organized are as follow:

Switched out drinking COFFEE for Pero every day.
Using ORGANIC Creamer for Pero.
Still have an occasional coffee, but rare.
Drinking Spring Water instead of tap water.
Use it for the Pero as well.
Switched to ORGANIC Milk to drink in the evening before retiring for bed.

DOing my best to rest when I can and tuned out of facebook for now.  Taking a much needed break from all the political comments and slams.  This began to bother me so I made up my mind to tune out for a time.  Seldom do I preach POLITICS on my blog.
DOing a few loads of laundry ever so often to avoid getting over tired and over whelmed with this ongoing task.
Clean as I go when I cook or bake.
House cleaning chores a little here and a little there.
Allowing an afternoon nap when I can grab it.
Close my eyes, dream, relax.
DETOXING from religious teachers and preachers especially if they are involved with the word of faith cult.
Now I'm researching what types of Vitamins to take.
Researching Thyroid health as well as fibroid issues.
Having to research losing weight without a thyroid.
Supplements needed.

Making plans for when the fire recovery is completed.  Wanting to sew, better organize closets and drawers, work on a doll house, get settled into HOME, decorate home, rearrange rooms to better suit us, slowly read my Bible and think on these things.  Probably need to exercise a tad bit.  Guess so my Lovelies.

Shuffle and Scoot right along into a healthier lifestyle that will help me be a better woman.
Can I just say, I want there to be some laughter along the way.  Being serious so much of the time is seriously tooooooo serious.

MAY YOU HAVE A BLESSED LIFE.
IF YOU CAN'T DANCE BE IN MOTION ANYWAY.
MOVE ABOUT LIKE NO ONE IS WATCHING.

seriously.
grins,

The Magic Ingredient

AN ONION A DAY does what?  It does a trick with creating a tasty Prairie Meatloaf.  Does the trick with Baked Beans.  Magic ingredient for a Super Salad.

O N I O N!

There's just something about ONION that makes meatloaf a winner.  When I entered a local Meatloaf Contest, the first year winner had used Lipton Onion Soup in their recipe for her loaf.  WINNER.  It's just the right amount of flavor with a hint of salt.  Midwesterners like this combo.

The second year's WINNER used onion as well.  Daughter and I WON the third year and I did use ONION.

I tell ya it's the magic ingredient to enhancing the flavor of so many dishes.  Not only is it nutritional, but it makes a meatloaf come to life with pungent flavor that melts in your mouth.

Simply microwave a whole onion in one of those whimsy microwave cooking gadgets.  Turns out tenderly delicious.  Full of flavor and easy to chew.  Not over powering flavor, but mild.  Low on calories and high in nutrition.  Like onion rings without the greasy crust.

One cup of chopped onion contains approximately 64calories
15 grams of carbohydrate,
0 grams of fat,
0 grams of cholesterol,
3 grams of fiber,
7 grams of sugar,
2 grams of protein,
and 10 percent or more of the daily value for vitamin C, vitamin B-6, and manganese.

COOKING BEANS ON THE STOVE.  AS THE BEANS ARE COOKING the aroma is enticing.  It's the ONION!  This is my first time to add ONION to my Pinto Beans.  It is something else.  The flavor will be a tell tell sign of nutrition.

Onions have many possible health benefits including reducing the risk of obesity, heart disease and cancer.  They are high in antioxidants, minerals and vitamins.
Many studies have suggested that increasing consumption of plant foods like onions decreases the risk of diabetes, heart disease, and overall mortality.
Onions also contain small amounts of calcium, iron, folate, magnesium, phosphorus, and potassium, and the antioxidants quercetin and sulfur.
Plant foods also promote a healthful complexion, hair, increased energy, and overall lower weight.
Folate, found in onions, might help reduce depression. Homocysteine prevents blood and other nutrients from reaching the brain, and folate prevents this chemical from building up. Excess homocysteine also interferes with the production of the feel-good hormones serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine, which regulate not only mood, but also sleep and appetite.
Onions are high in vitamin C, which is needed for the building and maintenance of collagen, which provides structure to skin and hair.

The fiber in onions promotes good digestion and helps keep you regular.  The phytochemicals in onions that scavenge free radicals may also reduce your risk of developing gastric ulcers, according to the National Onion Association. Regulating blood sugar. The chromium in onions assists in regulating blood sugar.

Unfortunately they are not for animals such as dogs and cats.  Onions contain an ingredient called thiosulphate which is toxic to cats and dogs. The ingestion of onions causes a condition called hemolytic anemia, which is characterized by damage to the red blood cells. Onion toxicity can cause the red blood cells circulating through your pet's body to burst.

Some sliced/diced purple onion in a salad
makes a nice veggie addition.

Good Morning Lovelies

Hello from my corner of the world.

Busy week-end for us as we did this and that.  Hubby is working on our car as she is on the fritz.  Having to wait for parts and time to finish being an auto mechanic.  We have one auto to use until the other one is up and going.  Having to pace ourselves on the expenses.  Yep.

I had time to day dream as to what needs done next in our HOME.  Today I believe I will shuffle the bedroom furniture to make room for a small library cabinet.  Had to shuffle it into the closet to make room in the Guest room for the Victorian furniture.  A sewing machine went into my closet and a library cabinet went into my Husband's.  Don't like that, but have had to give it more thought as to where these pieces should go.  I don't want to turn loose of them.

This morning I drove my Hubby into work and then drove to the Pharmacy to pick up my meds.  It rained the entire trip HOME.  Drove a scenic route and enjoyed the countryside through Zeandale.

Put some beans in an oversized pot to soak.  I want to wash them some more before soaking them all day.  Figure that they should be clean before soaking all day.  I'll start cooking them late this afternoon.  We'll have them tomorrow for Supper.  I've got to use up the left over Ham before it goes sour.

I did launder the sheets using baking soda in the machine along with regular detergent then added white vinegar in the rinse cycle.  They came out smelling so fresh as well as the yellow did come out of them.  WONDERFUL.

In all my years of doing laundry, I have never used baking soda and white vinegar to whiten and brighten sheets.  I'm a new woman LOVELIE.  You can teach an old dog new tricks.

I have the pillow cases to do yet.  I didn't have them with me when I did the sheets.  I had the two sheets folded together and thought the cases were in amongst them.  When I loaded them into the machine, no cases.  Oh well.  I located the cases in a different bedroom and I am not sure how they were separated since I am so careful to keep all together.  ha.

SOooooo today I shall finish this task.  Bedroom bedding will be changed out before JULY.  Hot as a firecracker.

I stayed up late into the morning working on fire recovery pictures that need printed out for our records.  I have so much more to do on this that I'm beginning to wiggle.  Getting nervous about time running out.  I think I had better focus on the more expensive stuff we lost and are going to replace.

Thoughts of how to restock a HOME are in the works.

I would like to say I'm off to see the wizard, the wonderful Wizard of Oz.  Perhaps he could give me just what I need to make it back HOME.  Close your eyes and blink three times.

There you go,
d

Day Of Rest

DAY OF REST or DAY OF CATCHING UP WHAT DIDN'T GET DONE
DURING THE WEEK

DO we have anybody but ourselves to blame for being exhausted and staying that way
when the person in charge of activities gets in over their heads with activities on a day of rest?

When my children lived at HOME
we would have sports activities on SUNDAY.
Every Sunday and Holiday
when it should have been FAMILY TIME.
Over and over again, the day of rest was not honored and I'd get exhausted.

It's happening again where our day of rest ISN'T.
Oh a little bit of busy won't hurt anything or anyone.

It does.
Over tired and start off worn out before Monday even gets here.

I'm going to strive to slow way down on my day of rest.
Shall see if I get there.
What a lifestyle change that should have been honored all along.

Need help.  Need rest.
Need to have the presence of mind to REST
and let the world pass me by on my day of REST.
Need to be the one to HONOR what needs to happen.
AMEN

God can give me the strength to do this,
d

Hebrews 4:9-11 King James Version (KJV)

There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

MY BAD!!! MY GOOD!!! THEIR AWFUL...

Friday DATE with HUBBY for LUNCH.  Ate at DENNY's.  GRAND SLAM at a decent price.  Meal with conversation.  After Hubs went back to work, I managed to grocery shop at a very modern and clean store to pick up a few items needed for week-end.  I looked high and low for PERO.  None to be found.

We made a COFFEE DATE for after work to wind down the work week at SPARROW.  COLD LATTE with some lavender in it and of course it was served in a mason jar.  No complaints.

Returned to grocery store where Husband said the PERO was displayed and sure enough it was there.  I could have pinched myself as I walked right by it a multitude of times.  It was in plain sight and I was almost embarrassed that I didn't see it.  sigh.  I iz human and it showed today.  Really BAD.  My bad.  (Seriously...where did this saying come from?  my bad.)

MENARDS afterwards to look about.  Looking for shades to hang in the screened-in porch.  When it is blistering hot outside this SUMMER the shades will hang down to block the sunshine beating into the porch.  I had gone by PIER ONE earlier in the day and they did not have shades or blinds as some say.  RUGS, no shades.  Good to know.

MOVIE DATE was Murder On The Orient Express.  Had been wanting to see this and my dear sweet Hubby rented it for us and made HOMEMADE POPCORN.  My GOOD was that I didn't drink diet Root beer with the popcorn.  Cutting back on Root Beer and diet drinks.  My GOOD.

Stayed up late into the night researching THYROID HEALTH.  We are blessed to have a printer so when I come across and article I want to keep, it is simple to make a copy for research.  Nice thing to have.

It saddens me what I am finding out about how specialists and regular medical doctors are missing the mark when dealing with THYROID patients.

I believe it is intentional.  With them, it's alright if you are categorized in the NORMAL RANGE.  They are not interested in how well T4 is converting to T3.  They are not interested in how well the human cells in the human body are taking in the hormones to feel ones best.  Only their little box where one size fits all.

Most humans don't fit this box.  Political opinions to keep you not feeling your best.  My spirit is saddened that this is the so called illuminated place you as a minion are to be.  Ill and a cash cow to a system that says who can be well and who cannot.

If you are in this category of normal range then you are alright in their books.  The magic word is OPTIMAL.  I am working on a visit with my doctor and sharing in the most tactful way I can that I want certain tests for peace of mind and it will be my personal preference to have these tests even if the almighty insurance company wants to stay in the CHEAP of NOT running these tests.  If I'm paying for the tests what is it to them if I have them?  Their BAD.  Actually THEIR AWFUL.

If it is a known fact that a healthy THYROID puts out more HORMONES than T4 only then why are we not getting these other HORMONES to make us feel well as well as to be WELL?  Their AWFUL.

As I researched, I know that there is much going on in the DNA realm.  Catching diseases as they come.  Sounds good and all, but it truly hadn't crossed my mind that if DNA is tweaked for the better why can't it be tweaked for the worse?  Why wouldn't evil practices go ahead and tweak human's DNA to cause humans to develop illnesses and diseases to destroy a better quality of LIFE? Weakening people's off spring and/or no offspring at all?  Ethnic cleansing comes to mind.

With research going on about vaccines causing autism, what else might it cause?  With the increase in Alzheimers and dementia, what else has been engineered to cause people to battle health issues?  What's in the   g a r d a s i l   vaccine?  Will this cause infertility?  Are we being deceived so human population decreases to 500,000,000 souls living on planet earth? The UN wants to decrease humanity.
The elderly are useless eaters” — Dr. Henry Kissinger
A total world population of 250-300 million people, a 95% decline from present levels, would be ideal.” — Ted Turner, in an interview with Audubon magazine
The present vast overpopulation, now far beyond the world carrying capacity, cannot be answered by future reductions in the birth rate due to contraception, sterilization and abortion, but must be met in the present by the reduction of numbers presently existing. This must be done by whatever means necessary.” — Initiative for the United Nations ECO-92 EARTH CHARTER

The elderly are useless eaters” — Dr. Henry Kissinger WHAT???

When I learned that companies used aborted fetuses for cell lines to make their vaccines, my jaw dropped.  There are such things as ethical vaccines made from animals where human fetuses are not used, but it's not the norm.  I was stunned that a society would use human fetuses.  STUNNED.  my society.  the society i live in.  the day and age i live in.  my generation is doing this.

Would a society also engineer vaccines and meds to make a generation not be able to produce their own kind?  OR produce their kind with weakened immunities and handicaps?  THINK so.

Would a society engineer vaccines to cause humans to be weaker than healthy?  THINK so.  BUT why?  To downsize mankind.  To destroy human life so the planet thrives on it's own?  So select bloodlines thrive and the every day joes don't?  So classes are either superior over a lower class?  A modern CASTE SYSTEM?

We were not made for the planet, but the planet was made for us by almighty GOD.

Let's start with the The Georgia Guidestones with these words carved in the stone: “Maintain Humanity Under 500,000,000”–yep, they want us dead.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georgia_Guidestones

ELSEWHERE on the internet: A few more quotes of population control advocates:

THEIR AWFUL

#2 U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg….
“Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don’t want to have too many of.”
“The negative impact of population growth on all of our planetary ecosystems is becoming appallingly evident.”
#5 Prince Phillip, the Duke of Edinburgh….
“If I were reincarnated I would wish to be returned to earth as a killer virus to lower human population levels.”
#6 David Brower, first Executive Director of the Sierra Club….
“Childbearing [should be] a punishable crime against society, unless the parents hold a government license … All potential parents [should be] required to use contraceptive chemicals, the government issuing antidotes to citizens chosen for childbearing.”
#7 Planned Parenthood Founder Margaret Sanger….

Birth control must lead ultimately to a cleaner race.

SOBERING.

From a coffee date to late night reading.  I love GOD, my Husband, my family, HOME and people.

SUMMER!!!

WONDERFUL.  First day of SUMMER was FALL-like with cooler temps in the low 70s.  That's KOoooOL.  More like SPRING for now.  Made me feel like taking this day for all its worth.  Taking in this weather.

Temps will return to roasting soon enough.

For evening we had a huge salad with ice water for supper.  LOVE BIRDS.

The french doors were open letting fresh air into the house.

The birds love this weather as they are contently chirping on their own frequency.  Beautiful music to my ears.

Thinking about going for a WALK tonight before the sun goes down.  It's cool enough.  Would be a nice way to get some exercise.  OOPS started sprinkling.  Will stay in.

FIRST DAY OF SUMMER I typed a great deal working on fire recovery notes.  I've been dreading doing this for months.  Today I did well for someone who doesn't know how to type.  I have to look at the keyboard as I type.

Soon, this will be a memory that I have in the archives.   After all my notes are typed up, I will proceed to printing pictures to review and document what was damaged or destroyed.  This is like a job that I don't like at all.  I think I can continue on.  Do this now.

When I read my notes, it brings to mind and reminds me of what we lost.  Draining.  The sooner I get through this the better.

We are recovering.  Praising God for no human injuries or deaths.  Praising.  When I go by the old place, I have to remind myself of why we are not living there anymore.  One foot in front of the other.  Baby steps.  Eventually I will get to where I am suppose to be emotionally.  Psychologically.  Spiritually.

Physically we are in a nice house.  This is a pleasant place to put all the pieces together that need done.  As I replace items, it would be right to document all new purchases and keep an accurate record for our RECORDS.

Spending time day dreaming.  Figuring this thing out.

I cleaned the upstairs sink and toilet.  Got inspired to tidy up the Bathroom closet with new plastic shoe boxes.  A box especially for razors, another for toothbrushes and paste, don't forget fingernail polishes, one for lotions, absolute medical supplies, and finally hair curlers.  I have larger white vinyl tubs for hair dryer, curling irons, brushes and combs.  A tub for hair products like shampoos, conditioners, mousse, hair spray, etc.  Then there's a tub for facial cleaners. An area on the top shelf for toilet paper rolls.  It's taking shape.

AFTER emptying the dish washer, I noticed that most of the dishes don't look clean and the silverware are terribly spotted as if they were never washed.  Not comfortable with that.  Will hand wash these items.

Will be washing a set of white bed sheets trying to get them bright white again.  Will try to get the results I want with baking soda.  Rinsing with vinegar.  The sheets have a yellow cast to them and don't smell fresh.  Hope the baking soda does the old fashioned trick.  Please.  Before the week is out, I'd like to get this done and switch out our bed sheets and bedding.  Not a big goal but none the less a goal.  Switch out the bedding.

I didn't make it this week to look for new eye glasses frames.  I've got to get this done.

With July almost here, I would like to have my eye glasses ordered and ready to wear, fire recovery notes completed, Kitchen cabinet rearranged, Pantry rearranged.  Curtains hung in Living room.  Mattress/Box ordered for antique bed.  Look into an additional upholstered chair to replace the wing chair we lost in fire.  Look at area rugs.  Mercy.  Let it happen.  July will be a month that I hope to start painting the Cottage's ceilings.  Seems busy.

I was fortunate to have time to do my HOMEMAKING research.  I spent much of the first day of SUMMER watching you tube videos about ORGANIZING.  Mercy...there are many that you can watch.  Some of these peeps have it all together with their ORGANIZING.  gulp.  How clever they are.  Some just have the touch.

It amazes me how someone can take cheap things and puff them into a high dollar looking item or space.  Wowzer.  Lack of imagination and creativity have me by the feet.  Perhaps I will fly high when I get the rooms in the house better arranged and can let my mind wonder about sprucing up the rooms.  Think it can happen...just don't know when it will take place.  grins.

As I regain my strength and my energy comes back, I have to deal with the basics.  Cleaning a house while ill isn't the easiest thing for me.  A little tidying here and a little there is how I have to pace myself.  De-cluttering will help make the cleaning go faster.  Being more efficient will be a plus.

I remember when Emilie Barnes, Author and ministry of 'More Hours In My Day', first got so ill that she said having the order she already had helped in those times she was so ill.

I have had numerous illnesses as an adult and when I am having up time, I have to hit while the iron is hot.  If you know what I mean.

Preparing Supper in the morning and having it ready for when my Hubby comes HOME will be how I have to pace myself.  Washing the dishes soon after the meal is necessary.  Clean clothing, towels and bedsheets a must.

DUSTing needs to improve.  If dust were an accessory, I'd be really ahead of the game.

It's dusty here and I can prove it,

15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

DECORATING

I knew a very frugal Lady named Edith that shared with me a excellent guideline for decorating. She said with ease, "If your room has clean ceilings, floors, and walls, and the windows have nice curtains, you'll have an attractive room."

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS
SELECTING THE CORRECT SIZE CHANDY TO USE IN A ROOM MADE EASY. FORMULA MEASUREMENTS: Measure the room's height and width. Add together the numbers. Example: 8' x 10' room is 8 plus 10= 18" Use a 18" wide chandy. OR Take width of room calculating 2" for every foot. Example: 15' wide room. Take 15 times 2 = 30. Room needs 30" wide chandy. Standard distance between the bottom of the chandelier to the top of the table is 30 inches. When hanging the chandelier, make sure to hang it at the proper height. The bottom of a chandelier over a dining table or kitchen island should hang 30 to 32 inches above the top of the table or island. Most rooms call for at least 7 feet of space between the bottom of the chandelier and the floor.

WISHES

NO MATTER HOW BADLY YOU WISH with all your might that the something devastating that happened in your life hadn't happened and want so badly to go back in time to prevent it from happening...it isn't humanly possible to do this. You can't change the fact that it happened. IT DID. But JESUS can change the MEANING of what happened to you and give you PEACE. He can show you the way in which you are to go. God richly BLESS you. ~Deanna
