Pound Pound Pound

THE LAST FEW DAYS have been dedicated to getting our wood floor laid in the Living room.  Tis a beautiful sight to see the room taking shape where the wood floor rest on the floor.  The noise of pounding takes over the peace.  It will not go on forever.
The men that are doing this work are heroes.  They are doing a good work.  When thinking about all the muscle and time that has gone into making a wood floor happen...boggles my mind.

POUND POUND POUND.  

Really it is a much needed sound as the work is getting done.

By the end of the week, I believe the floor will be completely laid and then we can return to painting the rest of the room.  The ceiling did at least get installed and painted before the new underlayment and wood floor went down.  We would have liked to have gotten the walls and trim painted before, but Hubby can only get so much done by himself.  I had best pitch in and paint or least be a go-fer.  We will have to be careful painting as to not getting paint on the new floor.

Trying to get both the Living room and Dining room work done before the November shutters are installed.  I hope we are victorious and then can take a nice break on projects.

Tis a beautiful day today with blue skies.  I've been working on filing papers, medical issues and putting laundry away.  I need to seriously get to work on the Guest room where items need dealt with.  It seems that I get pulled away from this and the room sits with all that stuff in there needing put away.  Not earth shattering, but still it bugs me that it isn't finished.  The house is messed up.  Worse things could be taking place.  

Many are suffering.  An Aunt and Brother.in.law have liver cancer.  A cousin fell and broke his neck.  A friend is having triple bypass heart surgery.  Across the county line where we used to live, the Marshall suffered a fatal heart attack and fell over dead.  Very sad for his family.  Life goes on and I must as well.  Having a messy house is still a blessing because we have a roof over our heads and I do look forward to the day that the house is back in order to enjoy even more.

I did watch the September 27th Kavanaugh-Ford Hearings last week.  Tongues were wagging in defense of both parties.  I stumbled upon the Kavanaugh Hearing before it started and decided to watch it.  It was extremely interesting.  Afterwards, I decided to watch the recorded Ford Hearing.  Without going into great detail about this drama, I pray that the truth come to light.

My HUBby just told me his cell phone received a Presidential ALERT.  That's something new.  Did you receive one?   

Despite the paperwork and household items that needs attention, 

I must still enjoy LIFE and stay contented.
