I FOUND JESUS IN THE UPPER ROOM IN A BOX
Some things are never found when a fire ravishes your house. I still couldn't locate my JESUS figurine which I was fond of. It's been 3 years since our fire and we are still going through boxes.
Missing the figurine of the GOOD SHEPERD, I was puzzled at where He was. Recently thinking about HIM, I prayed and a week later when I was going through some boxes in our upper room, I came across my figurine of JESUS wrapped in swaddling clothing...no. Wrapped in bubble wrap safe and sound.
Very HAPPY to find JESUS.
Praise the LORD,

These Tiny Blessings
Having opened the french doors, fresh early morning air drifts indoors as I sit in the Living room recliner taking in the mild 72 degree temperature. A beautiful day for LIFE. Calling in the sheep, I could hear the church bells ringing from a neighborhood building easily recognized when you see it as a long standing christian place of worship built in the 1800's. The donging consistently echos a vibrating sound through the air waves comforting my weary soul. My church service today will be at HOME as I am weak with no strength to travel to a place of worship. I am weak and have no strength to even put my day clothing on so I sit here swaddled in my old pink housecoat that needs replaced due to wear and tear.
One of my dearest friends that stays near to me is this ole housecoat so I cannot turn loose of this comfortable fellowship.
When God opens your eyes, the ears of the soul open as well hearing a more excellent tune. Comforted by truth. Living a more excellent way requires change doing LIFE God's way. A satisfaction follows when living right. Contentment blossoms springing forth by products of peace and good will.
Demonic forces are known in the Bible as the devil himself has lordship over the air waves. He has competition today in this small town as every Sunday the heavy metal bells ring faithfully. Tried and true for the call of righteousness comes through known by living a godly life with Christ as savior and personal Lord. Spirit filled living in this small town by being faithful as a child of God. The sound of the bells awakens thoughts of a blessed LIFE here. I dare not give evil forces an advantage over me as I have no need for them. I want nothing they have to offer which is inferior to God's truth. The way of the world be gone.
Hearing the sound of my Husband digging in the ground with a shovel planting newly purchased plants to enhance our yard encourages me to just hang on a little longer. He has been relocating some plants as well before the heat of the day hits HOME. As he works, the blowing breeze rustles the tree leaves serenading the ones who listens.
I failed in my quest for why I was born by not spending more time in the out of doors listening to nature's sounds along the way of LIFE slowing down to smell the roses while marveling at the beauty of the delicate flower with such fragrance. I failed by not taking more time to walk among God's beautiful flower gardens with breath taking sights and sounds. I failed, but am still alive to change my agenda. I must slow down to be nourished and refreshed. I can sit to look and smell. He makes me to lie down in green pastures. He restores my soul.
Reading once that the lamb of GOD which is Christ JESUS, the MESSIAH, slowed down stopping completely to hang on the cross. With arms wide open embracing the nails He slowed down to hang on the cross dying to take care of all the elements finishing the greatest work of It-Is-Finished.
Small birds chirp in the cool of the morning as a gentle breeze brushes through the branches of the Maple tree causing the seeds of this particular tree to freely fly through the air onto adventures elsewhere to start new trees throughout this blessed community. Playfully swirling about like miniature helicopters destine to fly in the breeze with swishing sounds of the leaves proving that wind does exist. The breath of heaven present.
The sun barely shining, this particular Sunday has come into existence to be my day of rest. I am weary and will do little so my body and mind has some time to be refreshed as it is badly needed after a very physical week of gathering items and personally handling each piece taking issues to be rid of them. I am reminded that I do not want clutter in my world or HOME, garage, basement. I don't mind having so much as long as the items have their position of order in neatly staged locations. One's clutter is another opportunity to redirect the chaos turning it into organized design and beauty throughout the HOME.
Successful week-end in being rid of much. I will breathe easier and rejoice when the entire house is set free once again of out of place clutter.
Knowing that indoor dust breeds fuzzy balls making messes in the HOME. By having a newly dusted HOME provides a sort of birth control for these dust bunnies that forever find their way under the beds. Lying on the wood floors gathering colonies are families of fuzz. Dust bunnies breeding like rabbits does not help my allergies. A cleaner HOME is healthier for people as it helps combat issues contributing to ill health.
Outside I hear chirping birds making lyrical sounds while they sit in high places on the huge tree branches in our side yard. Shady location for some of God's most admired creatures. Small birds from a variety of tiny sweet tweets. These tiny blessings are present today.
The tree's branches are covered with healthy lush green leaves that hide the spirited songsters. Harmoniously, their orchestra blends the surrounding tunes to inspire me to sit back and listen to the sounds of small town america.
The week-end sounds of whirring lawn mowers and weed eaters has not begun yet, but they will like clock work as the day advances. A few trains will blast through the town and automobiles will rattle by as I wish I were in a country garden away from the hustle and bustle of transportation that has it's place in the world having dominion over the hush of silence that the country would provide. Noise pollution is more prevalent in cities. Small towns are on a smaller scale which I prefer to city stimulation.
My small slice of quiet is right here where I sit resting to be refreshed and brought back to life amongst the tiny blessings in my trees. I have no desire to be busy today as I have not the strength or the will power to be energetic.
Vibrant will have to come along later as I am beyond tired.
My 'ole body needs renewed,

CHERISH
Good health is a gift to cherish.
Not sure how this happened but I am sick again.
It seems like this go round I'm closer to having pneumonia with the bronchitis I have.
I had put off going to the doctor thinking I could conquer this.
No chance.
I have had aching ribs for i don't know how long…like they were hardened.
Coughing took over and I felt weak. Asthmatic wheeze. Horrible whirring. Fever.
Off to the Doctor.
Shall see how this goes.
I have found myself saying, "Jesus is Lord, the Son of God and the healer. In Him will I trust."
I am sick.
Husband is on meds as well.
Sick.
The two of us are ill.
Praying.
This Christmas month will be slower paced because it will now be necessary.
The tree is still in the box.
The door wreaths are hidden away.
The Nativity Scene will slowly come out of the box. Hopefully.
Slowly with intentional importance and thought.
I did managed to get a few acrylic snowflakes carried to the Parlor.
If possible, the tree will stand tall in the conservatory soon.
There may not be any Christmas lights placed on the house this year.
We'll be alright.
I hope I can get a white cake baked covered with white frosting and coconut.
Hope.
I have wanted to have a white birthday cake for Christmas day to help celebrate JESUS.
Perhaps I will be blessed to do so.
Hope.
There may be no Christmas cards in the mail or Christmas letter.
I can say MERRY CHRISTMAS!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LORD.
I do CHERISH you.
Cherish.
MERRY CHRISTMAS to you, my blog friend,

WAXING COLD
HOME.
To be at peace with the LIFE I have at my home is where I want to live. Being honest here....there are times that I still get hung up about the details of running my home and the bills. I have to pray and remind myself that I am just passing through this world and all the heartache and headaches will pass. Still I am to be living a more excellent way and that means I am to honor my word and pay my bills.
LIFE is constantly changing and will not stay the same. Reminding myself. Counting my blessings and not forgetting God's benefits. Human as I am...I must recall God's best for me.
I had a waxing appointment yesterday with my beautician and she said when we get to heaven....I chimed in about we will have a glorified body!!! There won't be anymore waxing chin hair. Ha. I about came out of the chair yesterday with the discomforting pain of being waxed. Ripping off the face hair was intense. OUCH. IT HURT. HURT! I walked out of the salon looking like I was sun burned. I wasn't in pain, just looked like I spent too much time in the sun.
I did think of the Lord Jesus when the people ripped his face hair from his beard. The intense pain would have been excruciating. Makes me weak to think about.
After Jesus rose from the dead, Mary didn't recognize him. She thought he was the gardener. I think she partly didn't recognize him because he wouldn't have the beard that she knew him by. He would have been without a beard in his risen body. Maybe I am wrong. Still, his beard was ripped from his body before he was crucified.
Isaiah 50:6
I gave my back to the smiters, and my cheeks to them that plucked off the hair: I hid not my face from shame and spitting.
We know that Jesus fulfilled all of the prophecies from the Old Testament regarding the Messiah (1 Cor. 15.3-4), Isaiah specifically mentions that this would be one of the ways that Jesus would suffer. We also know that much mocking & torture had taken place that was not described in great detail by the gospel writers. In fact, Isaiah even tells us that they beat our Lord so badly that He was so bloodied & battered that He barely even looked human (Is. 52.14).
I'm no man, but think if men had their facial hair waxed they'd know it isn't a pleasant thing to have done. I have no desire to look like a man, talk like a man, walk like a man, dress like a man, act like a man. I have NO DESIRE to be a man. Praise GOD...I am a woman. I am thankful to be the gender that I am. Female. Female. Female. Now to work on being more submissive to my husband and respecting him.
I have to go back in a week to have more waxing done. Can I handle it? Yes. My aim is to only have this done every 6 weeks. At 60, my unwanted facial hair is more than a woman needs to have. It has gotten out of hand. I had my tubes tied when I was 24 years old. I know that this messed up my hormones. I have repented and asked God to forgive my liberated mind that I had in my youth. I was lost and didn't know it. I was a misguided woman that thought I needed to have no more babies and having a tubal ligation was the solution. I was mistaken and warn others to NOT get their tubes tied. It truly is unnatural and I believe it is not what God wants for His daughters.
At 24, the liberated thing in me was believing a lie. I believed so many lies. That having my tubes tied would allow me to be a spontaneous LOVER with my Husband. The truth was that my Husband and I did not get along all the time, and I thought if I got divorced that I didn't need anymore children. I might have gone the way of the world and had recreational sex because that is another worldly lie and I believe that I would have continued to not seek God's counsel. I believe that I would have thought I knew best about everything. There are consequences to our actions that come from a misguided thought life. If you separate yourself from God, you will have pain. Much pain. He knows what is best for us and if we ignore His wise counsel, we will hurt ourselves and others.
I never asked God's advice as to what to do about the number of children I should have. I didn't seek His counsel or advice. I regret this decision. I truly do.
I want God's help with making decisions and so I must seek Him out in this department called LIFE.
The warm wax is therapeutic. Like the calm before a storm. Exhale as the linen cloth rips out unwanted hair. Unwanted.
I've shaved, I've waxed, I've plucked, I've tried electrolysis and cremes. Haven't tried lazer. Concerned about scaring. I am sure that there are more ways to remove unwanted hair that I don't know about. For now, I will do my best to stick with the waxing process to see if the facial hair slows in growing and I will not have to suffer through this process so much of the time.
Depending on who you talk to will determine which technique they suggest. Including medical doctors. I've asked and asked and asked. One says to pluck, one says to shave, one says take hormones, one says use this creme, one says once the hair follicle is stimulated hair grows....my beautician said no more shaving. Her recommendation is waxing. Oh Lord....please let this work.
Every one of us goes through things. I am not alone when it comes to trials and tribulations. Not alone. My earthly body has a heavenly spirit. Hairy as I may be, God loves me. I've made some ridiculous mistakes in my life, still I believe that the Lord will help me get through when I repent and humbly ask for His HELP and guidance.
May I not forget, I am a child of the most high God because Jesus, the Son of God, is my personal Saviour.
Amen,
d
MATTHEW 24:12

Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

WONDERFUL JESUS
Doing the HAPPY DANCE!
while sitting down in my overstuffed chair.
Alone with my coffee pot and a hot cup of JAVA in my mug.
Not going a n y w h e r e today.
Staying put at HOME.
Can I do this? Not stir crazee.
Have plans to sit and think.
Wrap a few presents.
Make a few phone calls.
Pay some bills....broken record.
Maybe make some Christmas Peppermint Patties.
So quiet here.
So nice.
Don't you find yourself sometimes needing quiet?
I do.
I have been on the go. Ready to sit. So sitting I am.
Yesterday, I made a deliberate trip to the Mall. Saw Santa. Met up with Daughter. Lil Miss smiled while sitting on SANTA's lap. She wouldn't tell her Momma what she told SANTA she wanted for Christmas. Grins. A well kept secret.
Walking through the Mall. Noticed on display Dillards beautiful Christmas dishes. One of these days....Christmas Dishes will be at HOME with me. Need to price these Fitz and Floyd beauties.
It is so bitter cold out. When I have errands to run....grin and bare it. Shaking the whole time.
Noticed that the Grocery Store had available a few Christmas Trees wrapped in netting. Easier to transport home. Hummmm. It isn't easy for me to say no, I'll not put up a tree this year. The Porch isn't decorated. Inside the House only has a few decorations out, but CHRIST IS BIG IN MY HEART. CHRISTMAS every day of the week. Every moment of the day.
Wonderful JESUS.
This relationship I have with the LORD isn't a religion...it's a heart warming relationship that makes it easy to talk to HIM. Makes it easy to enter God's Courts with Praise and Thanksgiving in my heart.
Jesus did all the work so you do not have to. He gives you rest and peace. It's not by your might nor by your power, but by God's Spirit.
So when the Lord Jesus is in your heart, you can be at ease. Those long needed heart to heart talks that you are needing to have with someone, can be between you and God even while driving.
I drove through the City Park decorated with Christmas Lights because I heard that Sleigh Rides were taking place. Gosh, I wish I had my camera. Their Park is beautiful. The Horse drawn Sleigh had twinkle lights on her and was leisurely moving through the Park with a sleighful of children bundled in winter attire.
Onto my HOME,
d

DECORATING
I knew a very frugal Lady named Edith that shared with me a excellent guideline for decorating. She said with ease, "If your room has clean ceilings, floors, and walls, and the windows have nice curtains, you'll have an attractive room."
John 3:7
“Marvel not that I said unto thee,
Ye must be born again.”
King James Version (KJV)
PSALM 118:17
I shall not die,
but live, and declare
the works of the Lord.
PROVERBS 24:3-4

it is established;
through
knowledge
its rooms are filled with rare
and beautiful treasures.

FUN FACTS FOR CHANDYS
SELECTING THE CORRECT SIZE CHANDY TO USE IN A ROOM MADE EASY. FORMULA MEASUREMENTS: Measure the room's height and width. Add together the numbers. Example: 8' x 10' room is 8 plus 10= 18" Use a 18" wide chandy. OR Take width of room calculating 2" for every foot. Example: 15' wide room. Take 15 times 2 = 30. Room needs 30" wide chandy. Standard distance between the bottom of the chandelier to the top of the table is 30 inches. When hanging the chandelier, make sure to hang it at the proper height. The bottom of a chandelier over a dining table or kitchen island should hang 30 to 32 inches above the top of the table or island. Most rooms call for at least 7 feet of space between the bottom of the chandelier and the floor.

WISHES
NO MATTER HOW BADLY YOU WISH with all your might that the something devastating that happened in your life hadn't happened and want so badly to go back in time to prevent it from happening...it isn't humanly possible to do this. You can't change the fact that it happened. IT DID. But JESUS can change the MEANING of what happened to you and give you PEACE. He can show you the way in which you are to go. God richly BLESS you. ~Deanna
