I'LL BE ON THE LOOK OUT FOR BETTER CROUTONS TO PURCHASE. I don't suppose I'll make any homemade ones, but then again I might. After regretting munching on so many croutons then reading the ingredients, my hubby asked if organic ones are made? Probably, so I'll check the next time I'm at the health food store.
Searching on the internet tells me, YES, the croutons are out there to munch on. Checking the ingredients will have to be done. When ever the ingredients list NATURAL FLAVORS, you'd better bar the door on it as these natural flavors are not natural. Loads of chemicals were used to get that special word. Sounds good doesn't it, but it isn't.
Annette Reeder says we are lab rats that the industry is using to make a buck. We're an experiment. I agree. I slipped when saying lab rats and called it rab lats. Perhaps we are just that in the eyes of the modern day industries. As long as you spend yo money buying their products, they could care less what they have sold you so long as you paid for their product.
It's a secret how bad so much is until you have your eyes opened and decide to do things differently than previously done. I learned at an early age to eat what was called a balanced diet, but no attention was given to the quality of the food being eaten. The cheaper the better when my mom shopped. Being frugal was her aim. To this day, she is this way, but still complains how tired she is. Chemicals were ignored as the progression of additives and chemicals were added. Problem is just because something is cheaper than the other things on the grocery shelf doesn't make it a bargain as not everything free is good for you.
Keeping a positive outlook on all of this takes a steel constitution to not fall off the wagon when wanting to be healthier. THE OH WELL attitude sometimes creeps up and bites me. When fighting for your life, the oh well attitude cannot enter the picture. It must be crucified.
I am now a bona fide LABEL READER. I don't suppose I will receive a medal or a ribbon or not so much as a certificate unless I make it myself. I just might have to do that.
If LIFE is in the blood as the Bible states, then the BLOOD is quite important. Having healthy blood needs to be a priority. Does healing take place when the blood is healthy? I would think it is that important. What's floating around in the blood counts for something.
Being better informed about what I am eating and drinking means I have to know what's in the food and beverages. I will be doing an in home Bible study on the Book of Leviticus and the dietary laws. I know full well that the dietary laws does not cause eternal salvation, but while we are alive on planet earth, what we eat/drink can contribute to a HEALTHIER LIFE. So yes, I believe it matters what we eat even if we are not Jewish.
I have cut way back on eating pork. I don't have a problem with not eating BATS or catfish which are scavengers. No problem at all. So not eating pork is doable.
God will help me with this. I will have to be proactive and make the decisions of what I eat, how much I eat and when I eat. Me, myself and I.
Blessings abound!
