Baby Shower

One of my Daughter's Friends was given a Baby Shower.  To celebrate LIFE and this HAPPY time in LIFE!!!  SHOWER her and the Baby with Sweet Gifts, Well Wishes and Prayers.

These three girls were goooood friends when they were in Grade School through High School.  Now down the road of life they meet back up for a BABY SHOWER!

The Three Musketeers

We did relocate a great deal when my children were young and living at Home.  Tried as I might to make HOME a HAVEN...it wasn't always easy setting up shop.  Every move was different.  Some easier than others.  Memories were made.  I'm THANKFUL these girls became friends in the little town where they all lived.  Kristen grew up in this town as well as Jennifer, but my Daughter was a new comer to the community.

Friends can be hard to make when FRIENDSHIP CIRCLES are already made and those in them are COMFORTABLE not welcoming anyone else into their groups.  This happens.  I am thankful these girls were kind and opened their hearts to my Daughter.

With Halloween coming, I think about that time in our lives.  It was Halloween 1991 when my Husband's Texas Career ended due to a LAY OFF and we put our house in order to relocate to Kansas.  With the Holidays coming, I was challenged.  I quickly went looking for Discount Wallpaper to wallpaper a Hallway, Bathroom and Master Bedroom.  Borders put up in Master Bathroom to coordinate with the Bedroom.  Quickly we got the house ready to sell.

When we moved to Marion, Kansas from Houston it wasn't an easy move.  Daughter was in the 5th Grade.  Husband was laid off from work and we sold our lovely house with 4 bedrooms to move into a 2 Bedroom rental.  There were 5 of us and a dog.  So that the boys had a bedroom, this little house had a Family Room on the back of it that became a Bedroom for them.  No closet.  Their hanging clothes were hung on a metal rack on wheels.  THERE WERE HUGE FINANCIAL CHALLENGES going from one salary bracket to none.  When work did come....it was not the salary my husband had worked up to.  It was a BIG ADJUSTMENT.  We honored our debt and the bills we had.  Have I got a story or two for you!

The Kids got to experience LIFE in a small town after living in larger Communities.  My Parents lived in this town so we were close to Grand Parents.  I remember my Mom turning 60 while we were there.....hum.....I'm 56 now.   LORD WILLING I WILL SEE 60.  Just 4 years from that. Time gets away from us.

Back to my Daughter's Friend.  

Kristen is expecting her first Child.   A little girl already named Lillian.

When these girls were in their young teens, I didn't have a clue that one day all would be mommas with babies of their own.


Kristen is happily married these days.  Her first marriage was abusive, she went through a divorce.  I look at her and know that she is a miracle expecting her first baby.  Please pray for her and Lillian.  Kristen is a Thyroid Cancer SURVIVOR.  


There is Hope for those that have experienced abusive marriages, divorce, cancer, etc.  Not such nice things. 


Jennifer is grown up, married and the Mother to three little boys!
THREE BOYS!  A lot of activity.


Three and a half years ago my Daughter went through a divorce from a abusive spouse.  She's hopeful she will marry again and have more Babies.  That this marriage will be to a fine, balanced Christian Man.  She is a great Mom to Lil Miss! 


God can dry up our tears and put a new song in our hearts.  He can give us peace when storms are raging all around.  He will.  He is FAITHFUL.


God is good and so LIFE goes on full of surprises and Blessings.
